A moment of silence for $2 Daiso. According to Singapore Atrium Sale, Daiso Singapore will be adjusting its price from 1st May 2o22 onwards to include GST. This means items will no longer be priced at $2 but at an awkward $2.14. Time to do your shopping at Daiso before the price hike.

The Japanese are clean freaks! I went to Daiso and I got this carbon car deodorizer. You can find it as this box that is similar in size to the Hoy Hoy Trap-A-Roach. The box is yellow/black/brown. Has the chinese word for car (che) on the top left hand corner. Opening the box reveals a plastic wrapped paper bag containing the activated carbon. Remove the plastic wrapping and make the two cut-out holes on the box. Slip the paper bag back into the box and slide it under your seat. The carbon is quite hefty. Around 200g I think. It is found near the household items section where the refrigerator deodorizers are found.

At lunch I went to Daiso to spy out stuff. Their detailing section has new stuff! Microfibre mitts! Type A looks like the mitt from Fibreshine for car washing. Type B looks exactly like kitchen stove heat resistant mitt. Then they got microfiber sponge. Quite like the terry towel sponges I got last time with me Klasse kit except the cloth covering is microfibre. The sponge is 2-3X larger than the Klasse kit terry sponge. My evaluation? The MF material is rather thin. I don't think can use for rough applications like washing but pretty OK to use as applicator for the sponges. For the mitts, you can use them as glass polishers or dashboard cleaner. They don't look tough enough for buffing but hey! It only costs $2 so be my guess and give some feedback.
