  1. Hi all, My car's starter motor was changed in 2011 to a brand new unit. However, it gave me problems today and I was advised to repair it. My trusted workshop quoted me an approximate figure of $200-$300 for re-conditioning. Does anyone know a direct source where I can get it re-conditioned at a cheaper price instead? I am amazed at why a starter motor would fail so frequently. Your advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
  2. Received a forwarded email. Not sure if it
  3. Hello fellas, I'm currently thinking of replacing my aging air-conditioning system at home, and am wondering if any kind (and hopefully experienced!) souls here know of any air-conditioning installer/dealers who can do a good job with the installation of the central unit, secondary units, piping, etc? Cost is secondary to workmanship although it would be nice to find a honest and reliable tradesman that charges reasonable prices as well. Advice on what brand/models that are cost-effective and reliable will also be appreciated, am currently undecided on inverter or non-inverter systems as I figure the cost-and-energy savings from the inverter system will take a really long period of time to reach the price differential on a non-inverter unit, by then which I would be looking to replace my air conditioning system again. Thanks in advance, and have a good week ahead everybody.
  4. Recently, my car's air conditioning (air) smells "sweet". It is not an unpleasant (mold or mildew) bad odor most of us reported before; this is "sweet" smelling and not unpleasant. Does anyone else have this?
  5. Hi Bros, Does anyone know of a place where I can do the above-mention at a reasonable price? Kah Motor is charging $460 to change the cabron bushings for my Civic. Am also wondering if I get a better deal if I do it in JB. Any recommendations if anyone knows? Many thanks in advance. Cheerss and a blessed Christmas to all. Rgds, GS
  6. Hi guys, got a little problem with the air conditioning of my car. During a hot day esp, the car's air conditioning isn't very cold. However during at nights or when there's no sun, the air con is rather cold. So whats the problem here? Does the air con need regassing? Or are there other problems with it?
