Thinking of giving my engine compartment a cleanup, it's dusty and a little greasy. How do u guys do it? What solution do i use for this? Do i need to cover/wrap up certain parts? Heard that some car wash offer engine wash by spraying water directly at the compartment, is it advisable to do that or is better to use a rag to clean it? Pardon my long list of questions.

As above for discussion. Example - NX200 wheelbase is 2660mm, whilst Forrester 2.0 is 2640mm. But I "felt" the NX200 a bit tight as compared with the latter. Food for thought.

dear bros and tai-gors out there I have my Cruze 1.6 LS (A) for a year now. And I am still clueless how to get rid of this buzzing noise coming from the seatbelt compartment (near driver’s right ear, where we grab the seatbelt). It is not there all the time, it is getting worse now. Being there most of the time. It can get worse triggered by songs with heavy bass (no kidding). It is not sound in my head (tested by other drivers). It sounds like friction to the seatbelt inside the compartment. Rubbing the seatbelt with by rough fingers can generate a similar buzzing noise. No way to stop it when it happened. It comes and go. It sometimes happen even when car not moving but only engine started. It is notice-able even with radio on because it is close to my right ear. The one on the passenger side has the same issue, not as noticeable because it is far from my ears. From the previous visits to Chevrolet center, test drive with the technician has failed to ‘simulate’ the buzzing noise. The technicians claimed they have opened up the seatbelt compartment but found nothing abnormal or faulty. Please let me know if anyone faced this similar issue and recommend me with the possible root cause and solution. Thank you very very much in advance Rocki

hello all, really need all bro's help with this. i'm really quite fed up with PML, not that i dont like their service, but i know the car and i know something is wrong but they keep saying "nothing is wrong" or "computer diagnostic is ok". zzz. here's the problem: i have a 3 yr old 320i, and when i start the car up and drive around, everything's ok. after a while, the fan or something giving a fan noise starts coming up from my engine compartment, so loud until i sit inside my car with windows close can also hear the "vheeeeeeng" sound from the fan. when u hear from outside its like an aeroplane engine noise -.- ok la not so loud, but u get the idea. it's too loud for a normal car. so here's what's next. I bring to PML for at least 5++ times liao. from before warranty over until now past a few months after warranty still havent solve the problem. first time they say radiator got fault, which makes sense since maybe engine too hot then fan need to blow faster (is it?). ok fine that was before warranty over, FOC change of whole radiator. but then when i drove back, the next day problem still there. so send back, they said dunno what's the problem. after that few days i was too busy, so had to use the car. i send again after maybe 1 month? they say computer say no problem. so i figured, they may not see the problem since the car doesnt have the problem until after a while of driving then the noise will come up, so i sent again and told them. then after a week of sitting in their workshop, they said got some problem with air-con pump and dunno what, charge me $800 cos no warranty liao. ok lor, LLST just pay cos also my fault i nvr tell them it's after a while. lagi best, the next day still got the loud fan noise -.-. i told them once the noise come up, i'll bring in and show them. they said ok, so i brought it in and they had their mechanics ready. i left the car there for 1 day, and they replied saying nothing wrong, just the fan sensor a bit off and think the car overheating so make the fan blow faster. !!!! then last time i change the aircon thing $800 for what? till today i still havent wrote in, planning to do so soon and get my money back. but GUESS WHAT?!?!? (no points for right answer though haha ) the stupid fan noise is STILL THERE after about 30 mins of driving, and it ROARS like an aeroplane (not exhaust noise hor haha). seriously, any of you out there ever faced this stupid problem before? I really wanna go PML and fix my car problem. If not everyday i drive around i also scared the car suddenly catch fire -.- Please help! thanks.

Hi there, Recently bought a 2nd hand car (FIT), only the last few days I heard the 'Krrrr...Krrr...' sound coming from the engine compartment. The sound is more audible when I wind-down the driver window. I realised if the switch off the air-con, the sound goes away. Is it normal?

i bought my fuse box (that little box with voltmeter reading, 150A fuse) from simp limp tower, and brought it during my install to Mok of bukit timah. he installed everything else except the fuse box. he didn't consider that basic install, and said it required using metal brackets to secure it near the battery terminal, that since i didn't buy from him he wont install it. i suppose that's reasonable, not sure what u think. so now i'm left with this fuse box. if i dont use it, my circuit has no fuse. although the fuse is a little large for my amp - my single amp supposed to use 120A but i couldn't find 120A... either 150A or smaller A. i guess if next time i add a 2nd amp, a 150A maybe just nice - 120A to this amp, 30A to the other amp. so i attached my fuse box temporarily to the other end of the power input cable - in the boot, just before my amp. technically it's on the same line in the circuit diagram - the positive input, although the positioning has changed - instead of being next to battery + terminal, it's now at tail end of the same wire. therefore technically it's serving the same purpose. but is it wrong in any way? why do people always install it in the engine compartment?
