I think most of us know how to use a claybar and the purposes..Here is a video for Bros and Sis who are not sure how to go about with a claybar.. Of cos i dun use QD la..Is a big investment..I usually fill shampoo mix with water in a spray bottle and use it like a Quick detail.. Unless if you are not going to polish or wax and you want to have a waxy oily feel..Then use a Quick detailer with clay...

Anybody has this experience ? After I claybar (with proper procedure), I find that the surface become not as shiny as before I claybar. ... or my mind is playing trick on me.

Was looking to get a claybar since I been reading up on detailing stuff on this informative forum. This is to be used with the NXT liquid wax that I just got. However, when I go to Giant, the price of the claybar is like 30bucks. Is that the normal price for clay bar?

This question is for those who wash their cars in MSCPs. As these are public areas and many people will be washing their cars at these washing bays. As you know, claybaring requires repeat washes, so do you claybar your cars at the washing bay too? Spending too much time will hold up the queue for people who also want to wash their cars. So what is the reasonable time to spend at these bays and how much time do you spend on this?

I been using the eraser claybar on my car body n rims with pretty good effectiveness. Recently I found that it is less effective. Is it due to AGE. Also are there diff grades out there that are better at lifting grit off?

hi all, need to enquire any diff in the soft99 claybar, seems it has 2 versions, the one for white cars and another for dark cars ... i bot the claybar meant for white cars, any diff between this against the claybar meant for dark cars ? cheers

Walked pass ntuc fairprice just now. Went to car section, surprised to find soft99 claybar there. The price was 12.60. I remembered autobacs selling for 17 and diygurus for 14.50. Furthermore, got 20% discount. So in the end paid only 10 bucks! Good lobang for those wanting to top up their stock.

Anyone knows of any technics to test the smoothness of the paint? Everytime after claying the feel may be smooth on a soapy surface, but when everything is dried u can start to feel tat some on the contaminants are still left out in some areas.

just bought the purple soap looking thing for a whopping $36... does it cost this much? anyway, my real question is how do i actually use the claybar? like soap? dap in water and just rub the car with it?

Dear All, Intending to do a serious polising and waxing job to my baby this coming weekend. I am having a Black Protege. Any recommendation on which brand of claybar to use for black car and also is the 3M SMR good for removing swirls? I am using Meguiar's Scratch X now. Other than the above, I will be pampering my baby with Autoglym SRP and EGP. Its going to be a long day for me to make it shine!! Cheers!!
