Bro and Sis... Am wondering if anybody has any direct experience with ICV from Spring Singapore? I have been asked to develop a CRM system that qualifies for the grant, and am wondering how much "integration" Spring expects --- Anybody know?

Hi my friends, I was reading through some stuff and got confused, hopefully some brothers here can clarify for me. 1)In the event of an accident that is 70/30 or 80/20 in favour, is it better to claim OD or 3rd party? 2)Was told if don't claim OD, after 14 days cannot claim liao. Does that mean if cost to fix is low e.g. $800 and excess is high e.g. $600, claim 3rd party better? 3)The only reason to claim OD first is to fix car fast, other than that if car can still be driven, go for 3rd party better? 4)OD will affect NCD and premium or either one only? 5)Any other tips on claim OD or 3rd party Thanks guys, appreciate it!

the following is just a hypothetical case. Car 1 (offending party) bumps into Car 2 damages the whole back bumper. Car 2 is a fully decal with custom bodykit import from overseas. In order to restore back to original look, Car 2 needs to import the back bumper, respray the bump and redo the decal. The decal cannot just do the bumper area as the whole decal design is flow from the side of the car to the back of bumper, so whole decal have to redo. Assume, to fully restore back to original look. It will cost Car 2 - $1000 for import of customize back bumper - $500 for respray of bumper (same type of protection paint as the rest of the car) - $500 to redo the car decal Car 1 is 100% at fault. Car 1 (offending party) insurance assessor after assessing decide to only pay for $500 damages to just replace to a stock bumper. With solid evidence, can Car 2 sue Car 1 (offending party) with civil suit to claim back the rest of the amount plus lawyer fee?

Last year, i had a minor bumper to bumper accident with a taxi. his company had claimed a substantial figure from my insurance already and i believe insurance did pay them. (car damages + taxi driver income loss + trauma ) just before CNY, I received a letter that the taxi driver is claiming medical/injuries. What's more he has gone to all sorts of specialists at camden/mount elizabeth. Is there anything I can do to not pay or at least reduce the figure he is demanding?

Hi guys, i was involved in an accident ith malaysia lorry. basically malaysia lorry at fault as it lost control. lorry has to also pay for damages done to public property other than damages to my car. Howver my workshop reluctant to make claim against malaysia vehicles, saying very troublesome etc and ask me to claim my own insurance. i am quite pissed off as it is not a situation where my 3rd party claim is a weak 50%-50% chance of winning, but rather it is a 100% clear cut claim. So would appreciate recommendation of lawyer or workshop that is expereinced in claiming against malaysia vehicles.. that also has quality repair as well. thanks

CAN'T PAY Claiming he's broke, he face jail for not making payments By Bryna Sim September 17, 2009 Print Ready Email Article HE'S not irresponsible. He's just broke. Click to see larger image CANNOT AFFORD: Mr Tsai's ex-wife filed a complaint against him for defaulting on maintenance payments. TNP PICTURE: JONATHAN CHOO The divorce, who wants to be known only as Mr Tsai, has not met his maintenance payments to his ex-wife and two children for the last five months. If he does not pay $300 - the amount decided by the family court - by 28 Sep, the 51-year-old part-time security guard faces a one-week jail term. Under the Women's Charter, a person who fails to make maintenance payments can be jailed up to a month for each month of unpaid maintenance. But Mr Tsai claims he cannot afford the payments. He earns $500 a month, lives in a one-room rental flat and has to support another son from a previous marriage. His wife, on the other hand, earns $2,500 a month as a sales executive. Mr Tsai married his second wife in 1998 after his first wife died six years earlier. The couple, who have a 16-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son, divorced in 2005. In January, his ex-wife filed a complaint against him for defaulting on maintenance payments. He said he stopped paying after she did not allow him to see their children and applied for a personal protection order against him. He said he used to work as a full-time security guard and earned about $800 a month. But he lost his job after suffering a heart attack in January and could only get a lesser-paying job. Most of his monthly pay goes to daily expenses, Mr Tsai said. He also gives about $150 in allowance to his 22-year-old son, an undergraduate at the Nanyang Technological University. Father and son live in a one-room flat in Tiong Bahru. Mr Tsai told The New Paper at his flat yesterday: 'Sometimes, if he needs more money to buy textbooks, I would borrow money from my mother and elder sister.' Mr Tsai's flat is sparsely furnished. He has no TV. Father and son share a mattress and pillow. Meals - just two a day - consist mostly of canned food and instant noodles. CPF account Mr Tsai showed us his most recent CPF statement, which stated that he had less than $2,500 in his Ordinary Account and $188 in his Medisave account. 'So how do you think I can afford to pay another $150 every month in maintenance?' he said. He added that he could not even afford to go for follow-up screenings after his heart attack. Mr Tsai insists he is not being irresponsible. 'I care for my other children. If I can support them, I would. But I can't even provide for myself and my son,' he said. He said he would just go to jail if he can't come up with the $300 in two weeks. 'At least I won't have to worry about finding a way to pay the $300,' he said. But family lawyer Koh Tien Hua from Harry Elias Partnership advised against such behaviour. 'Going to jail is a form of escapism and it does not cancel out the amount he has to pay,' he said. 'The amount will simply snowball.' Mr Koh suggested that ex-husbands like Mr Tsai should undergo retraining so they can try to get an extra job. Lawyer Kelvin Lee from Samuel Seow Law Corporation noted that the main problem in such cases is that 'in Singapore, only men are required to maintain their wives and children'. In the US, he added, men can also claim maintenance from their ex-wives if the latter have higher earning power. 'The US looks at support for spouses, whereas we look at support for wives and children,' Mr Lee said. Both lawyers said the best recourse for Mr Tsai would be to apply to the courts for his maintenance payment to be cut. Mr Koh said: 'If he just says he has no money, the court will not accept it as a valid reason. Stoopid Mr. Koh....... ppl really no money mah,

Was involved in an accident with an NTUC cab this morning at Jln Toa Payoh towards Jurong. I was on innermost lane and he was in the middle lane - both wanted to turn into Jln Datoh and Balestier Rd. The p r i c k tried to force his way in and hit my car at a point between rear door and rear right fender. Damage to his taxi was at the front left fender. I made the report to IDAC and was told that claiming against taxi was very difficult. What should I do?

I think the worst nightmare for every car owner is having their car scratch at carpark or kena stupid accident especially if its newly bought lor, worst case is sometimes accident is 50-50 without witness and car scratch by vandaliser using keys are even harder to nab. Recently, I saw this new vidcam sunglass product not sure if it would help in claiming when it comes to catching vandaliser or lame accident that shouldnt happen at all. Often when you're very careful or vigilant, accident still cannot be prevent especially when its side to side accident, even when its the other party cutting into your lane and crashing onto your side, it is impossible stop your car immediately to take pictures. So after both the car stop by the road side and if there is no witness the case goto 50-50. I'm thinking this product would be helpful lor. When that bugger cut into your lane and if an accident occur you could just press the record button, especially it allows fast real time recording. Easiser than fumbling to take pictures with your hp esp when it happen in a sudden, video is better in this case. 1.3 megapixel cam and weight only 39g
