  2. I had the unfortunate case of being rear ended last Sat while queuing up for the traffic lights at a cross junction. As my car (Nissan) had a remaining warranty of 2 months left (registered in Jan 2012), I have decided to go to Tan Chong Ubi to report the accident. They gave me 2 options, claim own damage or third party claim. I choose the third party claim from NTUC (the other guy's insurance). But since the boot of my car cannot be closed, I am quite tempted to claim my own damage from AIG (my insurer) and from then claim it from NTUC. The Tan Chong Ubi guy has advised me to go for it if I want to repair my car asap (within 14 days of reporting the accident), but I am aware that I will lose my NCD (currently at 50%), have to pay the excess ($1000) and may be subject to insurance loading when it comes for renewal in Jan 2015. The good thing is, my car can be repaired immediately. Not sure what are your opinions on this.
  3. Hi, I've been hit by a driver without license. From what i've read, i am unable to claim against insurance of that car since it is driven by someone no license. Can anyone advise what can i do? Civil suit against the driver without license? Will my car insurance company help me initiate the civil suit or i need to find a lawyer myself ?
  4. anybody has any idea how to claim diminished value after car is repaired. Let's say to claim against the 3rd party.
