  1. CNB is a place where poly or ITE grads who cannot make it in REAL life will join upon dropping out. I am not surprised they have received SO many complaints every other day. The way some of these young boys behave is no different than those rascals from 369. In fact, many 369 members behave much much better like human beings than these dogs from the CNB. Personally I got some complaints against some of them too, esp in the customs. Las time they used to place those boys with gold hair, very long gold hair and say they are CNB at the checkpoints. This is very unsightly. If you want to place CNB boys there to play, at least put in some decent looking chaps. Thats why among the civil ministry, CNB is the most looked down upon. Got one period of time they courted controvesy over the ENTRAPMENT issues. You know why they did it? Cos they are inept and brainless that if they dont do it, their quotas and KPI will be affected. Man alleges assault by drug busters 16 Share 0 inShareBy Shaffiq Alkhatib The New Paper Friday, Jun 22, 2012 I was assaulted by Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) officers after being arrested, a man has alleged in a police report. Mr Wan (not his real name) said the alleged beatings began after he made a casual remark about wanting to be spoken to in "a nice manner". The sales assistant, 24, told The New Paper last Monday that he had done time behind bars in 2008 for pushing a policeman. But even that experience did not prepare him for the treatment he allegedly received from the CNB officers, the married father of a three-year-old son said. In his police report, Mr Wan said a friend had given him a lift on a motorcycle to meet other friends at a Bukit Batok coffee shop for dinner at 8.15pm on June 8. "We stopped at the roadside near the coffee shop. We had just got off the bike when a group of officers approached us. I don't remember if they were police or CNB officers," he said. He said he and his friend were asked to empty their pockets and they complied. "The officers later told us that they wanted to take us in for a urine test, so we just followed them," he added. Mr Wan alleged that he and his friend were handcuffed and a van took them to the Jurong Police Division Headquarters. "The officers tested our urine and drugs were not detected in my sample. I was then taken to a room to give my statement to a CNB officer," he said. While there, Mr Wan claimed that he was sitting on a chair when one of the officers, whom he said had spiky hair, yelled at him. The police report stated that Mr Wan asked the officer to speak to him in a "nice manner". "As I was speaking to him, I was suddenly punched by another officer on my left ear," he said in the report. "After that, I was hit about six or seven times by several others and I leaned forward. "When I tried to lean back, I was kicked on the chest and thigh by this other officer. I remember that he had a floppy fringe." Mr Wan alleged that the officer told him to go under a desk while he took his statement. He said in the report: "He used his right foot to press down on my handcuffs. He also rested his right leg on my shoulder." Mr Wan alleged that his left ear and left wrist became swollen and he also suffered a cut on his lips in the alleged beating. According to his police report, he was taken to a lock-up at around 2am the next day and he requested for a doctor to attend to his injuries.
