  1. A bomb exploded outside a religious shrine in central Bangkok late on Monday, killing at least two people and wounding scores more, according to an AFP reporter at the scene. Body parts were scattered across the street after the bomb went off outside the Erawan Shrine in the downtown Chidlom district of the Thai capital. The blast took place just after 7pm local time, with emergency services racing to the scene. Images shared on social media have shown destruction of the surrounding area, and bodies lying dead in the street. The explosion, in the Rachaprasong intersection of central Bangkok, was confirmed by local police to be set off by a bomb. Eyewitnesses say that bodies in the streets are being covered with white sheets as police investigate the area.

SINGAPORE - The driver of a private bus was trapped in his vehicle after it collided with a tipper truck on the Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE) on Tuesday evening. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), which received a call about the incident at 6.17pm, freed the man using hydraulic rescue tools. There were a total of 28 casualties, but no fatalities. Thirteen people were sent to the Singapore General Hospital, nine to Tan Tock Seng Hospital and six to Changi General Hospital.
