i was just toying with tis idea but I cannot figure out how much $ will go back my cpf+ interest ? Anybody has a formula or tool to calculate that ? also resale levy apply only if I buy an equiv sized flat but no nid if I upgrade say to EC right ? and definitely no if I buy private rite?

Guys i need help in calculating mileage. My maths is really bad. I know to know the total FC, i have to use mileage / petrol pumped. But the issue is that do i need to pump full tank everytime and use it till the petrol lights blinks up?

I'm a noobie at electrical stuff and would be glad if any expert out there can help me with this. 6 small pc fans each rated at 12V 0.12A, connected in parallel to a 12V sealed lead-acid rechargeable battery (7.2Ah). How long can the fans run? 7 hours? And what is that measuring device which can measure voltage called? Volt meter? The one which technicians use to check for connectivity or something? Where can I get one and how much is it. Heh hee . . . . sorry arhh, totally clueless when it comes to electrical. Please advise. Thank you.

Hi i just called up a few dealers. I wish to trade in my Jun-2009 Vios J for a Kia Cerato Forte. He quoted me 45k for my vios and 51k for the forte. If I take it up, can someone help me: 1) How much must I top up? 2) What will my new monthly loan be?

I am still confused since the day the banks implemented this scheme. if balance is less than $500, there will be a charge of $2. How do banks define avg daily balance? using nov 2009 as example, is it (30 days of flutuating daily balance / 30 days) = avg daily balance? Can give some example?

Is it based on the meter on the car? like 9L /100km then convert 11km/L or you manually keep track using (mileage at pump - previous mileage last pump) / amount of fuel pumped on receipt this time round which one more accurate?

Hi All, Just curious ... wonder those low price cars, if gonna reg as OPC & CNG, how LTA calculate ... For Example. Hafei Minz 1.1L Manual - OMV in LTA webby is abt $5,400. After CNG rebate 40% of OMV, new OMV = $3,200. Assumming COE is $4,000. OPC rebate $17,000. So $17,000 - $4,000 (COE) - $3,200 (rebated OMV) = - $9,800 Means what ? owner take back money ah ? Does that also means ZERO scrap value (except maybe some $$ for body). Cheers

My friend just enquire on a used car which is asking for $61800. The coe is $14801 and the omv is $25626 .The yearly depreciation is $5783 as according to the sales guy. Can we calculate the paper value from the above figure ? Thanks !

Based on above, I thought the scrap rebate is 85% of OMV or S$35,473/-. So shouldn't the depreciation be Purchase Price minus Scrap value divide by number of years left. In this case, it would be 6.75 years. So ( S$82,800 - S$35,473 ) Divide by 6.75 years remaining : Depreciation S$7011/-. How come the dealer say depreciation is S$8,866 per year? Am I missing something? Please help. Thks.

Hi everyone, not sure this has been asked before, therefore please be patient. can anyone please share on how to calculate the break-even point for your car loan (rule of 78) versus the value of your car. for example, if i am on 7 years loan, based on the amortization of the loan versus the parf/coe (whatever) value, how to calculate at which juncture will you not need to top up any money and the dealer will take in the car at the loan value. I know all cars are different in re-sale value and also dependent on the interest rate, therefore any calculation will be great. thanks in advance. cheers!

Hi Can any expert advise me if I want to deregister my car, it is based on the Total Car Rebate based on LTA Car rebate? Example the total rebate amount is $30,000 and I scrapped the car, the total amount I will get is $30,000 or will there be another amount added in and any other amount that I can use it to purchase any second hand car? My current car is coming to 4 years old so exporting it overseas will not fetch much value right? Do we still get any other rebate for QP? Thanks for the advise.

Pardon my ignorance Wonder why Honda and Toyota cars OMV are much higher than Nissan and Mitsubishi? even if Thai City, Vios, Altis the OMV also are higher the Jap Latio, Sunny, lancer respectively

Hi all, This might sound like a simple question. How do we measure our FC? I saw someone wrote that he drove a CTR and full tank could achieve 420Km hence the FC is 10Km/L. I thought FD Fuel tank is already 50L. Can someone enlighten me? Thank you. Regards,
