Man, this is hands down the single best-ever-produced piece of automotive journalism I have ever watched, way better than even any Top Gear episode during the series' peak in the mid-2000s: It just so happens to feature the final word in internal combustion engine (ICE) performance luxury sedans, the 668hp supercharged V8 with a 6-speed manual transmission Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing. If this doesn't get you all psyched and have your blood pumping, I don't know what else will. What a way to close one of the chapters in the ICE book of automotive history!

General Motors is up and arms with its electrification, with several models either announced or introduced within the previous months. The Cadillac Celestiq is certainly one of those that are coming soon from The General, and a recent report states a timeline for its launch. According to Cadillac Society, which cited unnamed sources privy to the matter, the upcoming flagship electric Cadillac sedan will be unveiled in the summer of this year. It will likely happen in July or August 2021. So what do we know about the Celestiq? On Cadillac's CES presentation, the luxury marque shared several tidbits of information about the nameplate, mostly on the features it will carry. These techie bits include a roof with four dimmable zones using suspended-particle-device smart glass, controlled via a control panel on the center console. You can see that in action via the teaser video above. A full-width digital display is also found up front, looking ready to take on Mercedes' dash-spanning MBUX Hyperscreen found in the EQS. As for the underpinnings, we all know that the hand-built Cadillac will be using the BEV3 chassis on its flagship, along with the touted Ultium battery platform that boasts over 400 miles of driving range. As with the vehicle's design, you can get the idea from the rendering we made that you see on top of this page. You can also parts of the exterior in the teaser video and screenshots taken above, showing a sharply styled EV sedan that resembles the Escala Concept from 2016 and the Cadillac Lyriq EV crossover. If the rumor from Cadillac Society holds true, we'll be seeing the production-ready version of the Celestiq flagship soon enough, but it won't be for sale yet. Previous reports said that it will be on sale towards the end of 2023 or early 2024, so buyers of the $200,000 EV sedan will have to exercise patience until then.

https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a33383709/cadillac-lyriq-large-display/ Cadillac’s 2022 Lyriq electric SUV will have a 33-inch display that spans most of the dash. The display will look like a single continuous screen, but it will actually be broken up into three parts under the same piece of curved glass. The Lyriq will go into production in 2022. Cadillac wants to make sure its first electric vehicle gets noticed. With that in mind, the automaker has shared images of the gigantic curved 33-inch display that will cover most of the dashboard of the upcoming Lyriq EV. The electric SUV's curved 33-inch OLED display will serve as the infotainment system, instrument gauge, and control for lighting and HUD to the left of the steering wheel. Cadillac says that while the giant screen is separated into three individual displays, the entire screen can be used as a single unit—likely while the car is stopped and charging. Bill Thompson, GM senior design manager for UI, told Electrek: "The size of the Cadillac Lyriq display is a huge differentiator for us. The form factor is going to be very industry-leading. The huge 33-inch display is a very big differentiator for us, even among the other brands in our portfolio." Thompson noted that the vehicle will have electric-vehicle routing built in and that the UI will "integrate those kinds of peace-of-mind features." He also said the system will integrate more human-centered information and alerts around GM's hands-free driver-assist system, Super Cruise. The infotainment and lighting-control portion of the display will be touchscreens. As on the Escalade, a rotary controller in the center console will control aspects of the infotainment system. The Lyriq concept also had displays for the passengers in the rear of the vehicle. No word on what features those displays will have or if they'll even make it into production. The Cadillac Lyriq will be the first GM vehicle built on the automaker's new EV platform using the Ultium battery system. The Lyriq will make its debut during a virtual event on August 6. It goes into production in 2022.

http://www.supercars.net/PicFetch?pic=2004_cadillac_cts_v_series-1.jpg http://www.supercars.net/PicFetch?pic=2004_cadillac_cts_v_series-2.jpg The CTS-V represents the best of what Cadillac has to offer in terms of luxury performance. Much more than just a powerful engine, CTS-V is equipped with a standard six-speed manual transmission, large performance brakes at all four corners, 18-inch wheels and tires, retuned shock absorbers and steering for the performance chassis changes and a host of interior and exterior styling refinements. CTS-V is the first model to be developed by the new General Motors Performance Division, an in-house center designed to explore potential enthusiast-oriented versions of production models. Production is slated to begin in the fourth quarter of 2003. Performance Credentials Equipped with a 5.7 liter, V-8 engine expected to produce 400 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque, CTS-V marks Cadillac's entrance into the high performance luxury car market. Powertrain highlights include an LS-6 V-8 engine with aluminum block, two-valve cylinder heads, revisions to the air induction system and an enlarged dual exhaust system for an impressive V-8 sound. Power is delivered through the six-speed manual Tremec T56 transmission that features a dual mass flywheel for reduced noise and vibration harshness. A heavy-duty, increased diameter, 70-mm prop shaft is utilized for the higher torque requirements. The limited-slip rear axle is fitted with a 3.73:1 final drive ratio to optimize acceleration. Like the original CTS, CTS-V was refined and validated at Germany's famed N

2019 Cadillac CT6 V-Sport revealed with all-new twin-turbo V8 http://www.foxnews.com/auto/2018/03/26/2019-cadillac-ct6-v-sport-revealed-with-all-new-twin-turbo-v8.html Cadillac is turning its flagship sedan into a speedboat. The 2019 CT6 V-Sport debuting at the New York International Auto Show is a high-performance version of the full-size four-door, and introduces an all-new engine to the brand’s lineup. The 4.2-liter turbocharged V8 is Cadillac’s first of the type. The very modern motor features a “hot-V” design that sends the exhaust through twin turbochargers stuffed in-between the cylinder banks. This creates a compact package and helps reduce turbo-lag, courtesy of the shorter distance that the exhaust needs to travel before it hits the turbos. Cadillac says the engine produces 550 hp and 627 lb-ft, while a detuned version be offered in non-V-Sport models with 500 hp and 553 lb-ft. Both are matched to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy ratings have not been revealed, but the engine is equipped with a stop-start feature that turns it off when the vehicle isn’t in motion. The CT6 V-Sport also features a louder exhaust than other models, a performance-oriented suspension and all-wheel-drive system, summer tires, Brembo brakes and subtly aggressive bodywork. The entire CT6 range is getting a mild styling refresh and updated controls for the infotainment system, with more auxiliary buttons and a knob controller to go along with its touchscreen interface. One thing the V-Sport is not getting is Cadillac’s Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving aid, which allows for hands-free driving on the highway. The feature is offered on other CT6 models, but not currently destined for what's very much a human driver's version. The CT6 will continue to be built at GM’s Hamtramck, Mich., factory, but the origin of the new V8 is intriguing. It will be hand-assembled at GM’s Performance Build Center, which is located in the Bowling Green Assembly plant in Kentucky where the Chevrolet Corvette is made.

It seems that the Chinese really have a taste for pink cars. Previously, there were already quite a few cars spotted in the pinky wrap. Yet, it seems that the Chinese haven't had enough of pink cars already. Recently, another car coloured in pink was spotted again in the country where pandas come from. This time, it's the Cadillac CTS trying the colour. Well, you see, I myself would rather the car stay in its original colour than pink. The reason is quite straightforward. Somehow, the Cadillac CTS is quite a masculine car. So, can you imagine what kind of man would love to get behind the wheel of such a pink coloured Cadillac? Or, is it possible that the Chinese believe that pink is a lucky colour somehow? Well, fortunately, the car isn't entirely wrapped in pink. It still has some masculinity left intact, thanks to the black wrap extending from its engine hood to the roof and the trunk, in addition to the side mirrors. However, I really wonder whether the owner of the Cadillac CTS in question is a man or a woman. And, if the owner is a man, I wonder what kind of a man he is.

As time goes by, China seems to be getting more lucrative when it comes to the automotive market. There are many global automakers out there that have seen huge sales of their car lineups in the country. The German automaker BMW, for example, managed to sell no less than 330,000 units of cars in China last year. In comparison, its rival automaker, Audi, sold at least 400,000 units within the same time period. So, it seems rational for another automaker to come and join the business. In this case, it's the US automaker Cadillac, which is a division that belongs to General Motors (GM). GM has now made clear its intention of building a plant in China after acquiring the signature from the National Development and Reform Commission in the country. The signature means approval for GM to build its plant which is estimated to cost $1.3 billion (S$1.6 billion) in total. The plan is that GM will start establishing the plant in June 2013. In terms of production capacity, the plant is expected to deliver 150,000 units per year. The plant is to be situated at the Jinqiao zone in Shanghai. This factory building approval seems critical for Cadillac as the company has already avoided being forced to pay 25 percent of import tariffs. This is possible thanks to Cadillac's decision to switch its XTS sedan production to China. Bob Socia, President GM China, even happened to comment that it was an imaginable probability that the Cadillacs manufactured in China could be sold in the United States of America. Well, it seems that globalisation has entered a whole brand new era. It's brave and yet, it's also strange at the same time.

Things you don't know about the United States President's limo

Not much is known about the vehicle as its specifications are heavily guarded by the US Secret Service. But, over the few years, some of these heavily guarded secrets were leaked out and below are some of the things you don- 2 comments

If Cadillac is gonna South Africa ( RHD market ), would there be a possibility of it ever returning to Singapore ??? It made a disappearing act back in 2003. There are probably some Cadillac Seville left on our roads. Can imagine these newer Cadillac models here....would generate new interest now that they have more practical engines & more models to choose from. http://www.worldcarfans.com/news.cfm/newsi...-africa-in-2007

Cadillac was named as a 2012 Customer Service Champion at the J.D. Power and Associates Customer Service Roundtable in Orlando, Florida. To qualify for inclusion, a company must excel within its own industry and stand out among leading brands in 20 major industries evaluated by J.D. Power. The 2012 Champions were picked based on customer feedback, opinions, and perceptions gathered primarily from J.D. Power's syndicated research in 2011. "We're in the midst of a mission to enhance every interaction a consumer has with Cadillac," said Kurt McNeil, vice president of Cadillac Sales and Service. "We are strongly committed to customer satisfaction, and appreciate this external confirmation of our efforts." Earning this accolade is not without hard work. The American luxury carmaker has implemented changes to enhance that luxury customer experience. In addition, they have also conducted comprehensive experience training for dealership personnel and created an improved program of owner benefits called Cadillac Shield. The shield plan includes pre-paid scheduled maintenance, roadside assistance, OnStar and a myCadillac smart phone application, among many other various services. The Cadillac Shield program also covers the vehicle for 5 years and 100,000 miles on the powertrain, and 4 years and 50,000 miles bumper to bumper. The award certainly serve to enhance Cadillac

[extract] One day I was reading an American travel website and I saw one of the most famous car art sculptures in the world. The art sculpture is known as the Cadillac Ranch. I have already knew about this particular art sculpture in the past as I have seen pictures of it in a magazine a few years ago but I do not know much details about it and I wish to share with everyone here. As I was searching the internet about the Cadillac Ranch, I came across two more car art installations that I find rather interesting and unique. One is the Carhenge and the other is the Spindle. Let

[extract] Almost every single one of us has a favourite car from a movie or TV show, regardless whether we are car enthusiasts or not. As for me, my favourite is the Ford Gran Torino from the police TV show, Starsky and Hutch and the Mini 1000 from the Mr. Bean series. Recently I had a conversation with some of my friends and I asked them what their favourite cars from movies and/or TV shows were. I managed to compile a long list of cars given to me and here are some of them. De Lorean DMC-12 time machine from Back to the Future Back to the Future was a sci-fi adventure movie released in 1985. The two main actors who starred in the film were Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd. The story is about a teenager who accidentally went back to 1955 in a time machine created by his scientist friend. He met his future parents and somehow became his future mother

The CTS-V Coupe will compete in the Sports Car Club of America World Challenge [sCCA]. The move also marks Cadillac's return to a series where it competed from 2004 to 2007, taking the Manufacturer

Hey Guys, saw this SUV on the road here in the States and I must say pretty impressed by it. It does not looks like anything on the road. The looks are controversial and you will not mistaken it for anything else on the road. Check it out!
