There has been an increase in road works recently.... there was so much digging here n there to lay/maintain underground cables causing lane closures n jams......... but the worst thing is the road reinstatement..... Most were not done properly and caused very bumpy roads..... generally the poor reinstatement are all over the island, but one of the most obvious one i encountered was Somerset rd (near 313)..... ANd there was this HUGE depression when i drive out of prince edward carpark towards ECP city.... To tink that CH 8 just telecast the variety show with Brian Wong working with LTA on the roadworks and showing how they lay the road etc......

Hi all, lately notice my car ride is getting bumpy too much for my liking. My front bumper is mod lower than normal stock, other than that, it seems to be getting annoyingly bumpy each passing day. What could be the problem? Shock absorbers, tyres, or even wheel alignment/balancing? Just want to find out what could be the possible cause(s) before i decide to send it to a workshop (i don't have a trusted one yet) to avoid getting chopped. Lots of potholes on our roads today, especially the expressways

Dear Bros/Sis, I have sent LTA a list of 'bumpy roads' few years ago asking them to do something. They responded and some improvements were made to the bumpy roads, not 100%, but still better than nothing. Its time to send another list now. Hope you guys can help list the bumpy roads you have encountered (locations/maps) and I will compile them and write officially to LTA. Many thanks. 1. Telok Blangah Rd towards city, just after the junction of Sentosa Gateway, about 10m pass the front of Citiport Centre (below the viaduct). Recent patched-up surface is bumpy, not even safe for bikes. 2. 3. 4. etc

I am facing a problem with my car. My suspension is cheapo hotbits suspension with adjustable damper. The problem I am facing is that when I go at 160-170, the car is rather bumpy going on uneven roads. I am just afraid there could be wheel lift causing me to los control of the car. What could be the cause of this bumpiness? Could it be damper settings too soft, thus not absorbing the forces or too hard or do I need to change suspension. Btw, I didn't face this issue with a BMW E39 528i quite sometime back. Its using blistein suspension (not coilovers, just normal springs and dampers). Its quite stable even at 170-180. Of course, I do get quite a bit of body roll when cornering compared to my current Toyota.

HI all I am driving a second hand car and notice the ride is very bumpy. Is this considered soft or hard? Whenever i go through uneven road, u can feel the bumps. Sometimes it get so bad till i hear a loud 'clock-clock' sound when i go over something uneven even tho its not a huge hump. The current suspension i am using is cusco zero2r about 3 years already. However i sent the car to 2 workshops to check. One of the workshops also jack up the car to check for leaks. Another one test drive the car but both workshop said its fine. One of them wanted to sell me a rubber buffer to improve the ride but i am not sure if it would help. I suspect it could be the internal parts of the car like the toe arms or bushings. any bro here has any advice as to what is the problem ?

Yo all, 1)Where's a good place in the east to change brakepads and also provide handbrake tightening service? Any to intro? 2)Bumpy ride, what could be the cause? Tires coming to 2 years, some uneven-ness, would that be the cause? or maybe other components such as suspension?

Why the road surface in KPE is bumpy ? No matter which direction, lane 1 to 3, all have the same condition. Millions of dollar have had spent, why can't the road be built better ? I don't understand

I dunno if it's psychological, but I seem to feel that my ride is getting more bumpy recently. What could be the reason? Wheel alignment? Excessive rain recently causing uneven road surface? I thought it could be due to tyre pressure, but there's no improvement after pumping air two days ago.

Hi all, have you encounter your ride to be bumpy? Eversince my friend bought the car, all my friends who sat or drove feels the same. Bought it to the mechanic and release some of the air pressure on the tires but still feel the same? Wondering what's the problems. it is on 14" rim with dunlop tires.

Hi guys, need some advise here... My 2-week-old Optra is giving me a bumpy ride esp. on SLE. It's like I'm riding on the springs alone. I dun remember feeling like this with the test car. Anyway, I'll be bringing it in for the 1K servicing next week. Would appreciate any advise. Thanks in advance.

Hi, Just came back from test driving Jazz at KM. One thing I notice is that the ride is a bit bumpy and the suspension feel a bit on the hard size. The SE told me it's because the test drive car has been used for test drive for a while (10,000 km). But I don't really buy that - I thought it should become softer after driving a while. Any current Jazz/Fit owners can comment on the quality of ride in terms of bumpiness ? THANKS !
