  1. Ready for Anything: Goodyear launches Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 Goodyear launches newest member of Eagle F1 family New technology improves dry performance, wet braking and handling EV-ready technology reduces noise and rolling resistance Ready to reassure, ready to thrill Goodyear has revealed the latest iteration of its premium award-winning Eagle F1 range of ultra-high performance (UHP) tires, the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6. With new technology to improve dry performance, wet braking, wet handling and electric vehicle suitability, Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 is ready for anything. Designed to suit a wide range of cars, including hot hatches, sporty compacts, family cars, luxury sedans and sports coupes, Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 features a number of innovations to build on the award-winning Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5. The result is a tire designed to both reassure drivers with its wet braking and handling abilities and thrill them with its outstanding dry performance and sporty credentials. Improving dry performance1, Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 features an adaptive contact patch and optimised cavity to adapt to load variations. While under standard driving conditions, the tire’s contact patch has a normal footprint, but this increases when the driver makes an extreme manoeuvre. The contact area therefore adapts to the driving style and increases as needed, giving the driver more grip and reactivity to extreme manoeuvres. In wet weather conditions, the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 cap compound with innovative new resin system allows the tire to have more micro-contact with the road surface, giving drivers better grip on damp or wet roads2. Technology developed for UUHP (ultra ultra high performance) tires designed to perform as well on the racetrack as the road has been transferred to Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6. In Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6, this technology increases its flexibility to match or be more resistant to road roughness3. This resin system boosts tire grip on the road4. Every tire in Goodyear’s range is EV-ready, but Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 has been specifically designed with manufacturers’ EV requirements in mind. Its noise cancelling pattern results in a reduction of 1 dB, shown on the tire label, while its new compound technology reduces rolling resistance, to help increase electric range5. The result is a tire that is ready for the next generation of mobility. Laurent Colantonio, Regional Technology Director EMEA, Goodyear: “Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 is the latest in our award-winning range of Eagle F1 tires. With key innovations to improve dry performance and wet braking and handling, it is ready for the most demanding performance, simultaneously reassuring and thrilling drivers. We at Goodyear are proud to work with leading OEMs to push forward the next generation of mobility; that’s why Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 suits the requirements of electric vehicles and is ready to take electric mobility further.” Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 will be initially rolled out in 28 sizes in Q1 2022, with additional sizes released throughout the year. By 2023, Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 will be available in no fewer than 65 sizes from 17 to 22-inch fitments. The initial size list for release in January 2022 includes a number of popular 17 and 18-inch fitments, before further 17, 18 and 19-inch sizes are added in February and March. The range will be expanded to 21-inch fitments in April. (1) (2) (3) (4) Compared to predecessor Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5. 3. Hi folks! I have not seen related discussion before hence starting one. All EV drivers, please share your experiences and recommendations for tyres? I know most EVs are new in Singapore. Tesla, BYD, BMW I series, Mercedes EQ series, Audi e-tron series etc. EV cars are much heavier than ICE, tyres I guess have to use EV specific ones to achieve good comfort, performance and most importantly thread wear. I am currently driving BMW iX3, stock came with Yokohama, hence I am looking around. Explored tyrereviews and understand that Michelin , Bridgestone, Goodyear are the top 3 tyres, are they also good for EVs? Correct me if I am wrong. Hope to hear from you all! TIA

  5. HI ALL BROS, THE NEW MONDEO LOOK STUNNING AND HAS THE ASTON MARTIN LOOK....BUT ANYONE TEST DRIVE THIS RIDE BEFORE?
  6. Hi all, any users with the fore-mentioned tires? Seems like a big improvement over the RE003 in many aspects-(base on my usage on 2 different cars -Levorg (previous ride) vs Octavia (current ride) Drive handling Noise reduction Wet handling Stiff tire wall good wear rate vs likes of Pirelli Pzero and Michelin PS4 Just wondering why not much write up about this.
  7. Recently saw this post from Southeast Tyres and they have stocked up the new S007a tyres from Bridgestone. I went to their website and the tyres look quite amazing on the performance. However, I find the thread pattern a bit bland compared to RE003 and S001. Has anyone tried this tyre?
  8. Just changed to this set of new eco tyres, Bridgestone EP 300 yesterday evening at SE Tyres Co with Uncle Ming. This new model is an upgrade from EP 200. My initial feel of this eco tyres on the road so far has been quiet (maybe becos it is new) but the grip on dry roads been doing well so far. Cornering at 60km/h has been a breeze. Stiffer sidewalls improve body roll which I like. What I like is that it has enhanced NanoPro-Tech with a new polymer that provides enhanced wet grip due to an increased contact area that grips wet road surfaces with higher frictional force at the micro-level. In addition, the new tread pattern contributes to anti-hydroplaning performance, better handling and reduced noise. I also learnt from Uncle Ming that the EP 300 deeper lug depth on the tyre shoulder is designed to strengthen durability and increase wear resistance. The tyre also features new tread design to better control tyre deformation and provide long-lasting tyre life through a uniform wear pattern. Will monitor the tyres further to see how it performs down the road. http://www.torque.com.sg/18675/bridgestone-introduces-ecopia-ep300-singapore/ https://www.bridgestone.com.sg/ecopia_ep300.html https://youtu.be/6CbgsequQoo

  11. My current set of Bridgestone RE001 (205/50/R17) has been used for 3 years and it's high time for me to replace them soonest possible. I have checked with 2 tire shops and below are what they have quoted: Shop A - CSC 5 (215/45/R17) - $230 per pc nett. (Inclusive of GST, installation, balancing, FOC tyre repairs & unlimited rotations every 10,000k with purchase of 4 tyres). Shop B - Bridgestone RE001 (205/50/R17) $220 per pc nett (Inclusive of GST, installation, balancing). This shop does not have CSC 5 but quoted me CSC 3 (215/45/R17) @ $265 per pc (High price as this model is NOT ON OFFER). The price of CSC 5 and RE001 quoted by these two tire shops are quite competitive. Which one is the better deal? Your feedback is much appreciated.

  16. Hello, everybody! It's your most friendly and charitable moderator here! I would like to share with you this charity drive that is organised by Bridgestone Tyre Sales Singapore Pte Ltd. Your contribution will mean a lot to the breast cancer awareness. I always believe that as much as you take/earn, you have to give back. And the best way is to give back to the society. The most common cancer in Singapore is Breast Cancer. " According to the most recent report from the Singapore Cancer Registry, between 2008 and 2012, breast cancer constituted 29.4 per cent of all cancers among women. During the same period, deaths from breast cancer made up 17.9 per cent of all female deaths by cancer, making it the biggest killer of women." Quote from The Straits Times -http://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/health/breast-cancer-understanding-the-most-common-cancer-for-women-in-singapore So Bridgestone Singapore is having a pink tyre valve cap donation sales. Each set of tyre valve cap is $4. All the proceeding will be donated to Breast Cancer Foundation. I would like to seek for every MCFers support for this meaningful event. This may not be the prettiest valve cap you can find. But it serves the purpose and also has a purpose. I bought a few of this last year and give it to my friends and colleagues who are driving. Here is the participating outlet! You guys can go and buy from here!
  17. Dear all, Any comment on the above tyre Bridgestone GR100 user ? I'm planning to change in few month time.
  18. Just wanna to share this video clip I come across. The tests was conducted by Auto-Zone from Taiwan sometime ago. They took 4 types of eco tyres - Michellin, Bridgestone, Yokohama Bluearth and Maxxis to test their grips on wet/dry conditions, brake effectiveness & fuel saving, etc. The end result Yokohama Bluearth AE50 is best among the other 3 - see attached result. See below the video clip last for 33 minutes and in mandarin. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qff1Bt7hk6c
  19. As above... 1. Bridgestone RE001 2. DZ101 3. Michelin PS3 For those who have used at least 2 of these, which ones have the: 1- Stiffest sidewall 2- BEST wet weather grip 3- POSITIVE steering feedback in all conditions I don't care about comfort levels, etc etc, only these three things.. I've used 3 sets of RE001s for nearly 4 years over 2 different cars (a Getz and then my current Lancer Ralliart as my daily driver), so kinda lost touch with the rest of the tyre range My last set of RE001s lasted exactly a year (time to change this week) when I clocked about 55,000km so that gives you an idea of the sort of driver I am. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated thanks :)
  20. Usually when we talk about comfort tyres we focus on the noise level. Will premium comfort tyres like bridgestone gr100 improve on the bumpiness or harshness of the car compared to performance tyres. Assume the same tyres size, profile, tyre pressure, rim and car.
  21. Will be changing my tyres soon (2 year plus) and currently running on PS3s (205/55/16). Been looking at the P7 and lowest price is $145 each. At the same time doing my home work on the new GR-100 which is $170 each. Anyone on P7s and GR-100s would like to give their reviews?
  22. Anyone have any feedback on the Bridgestone Dueler High Performance Sports tyre? Designed for SUVs/CUVs. Looking at 225/55 R18 size.
  23. Hi bro, Any one know when the facelift MZ 6 will arrive?Cheers

  25. Chanced upon a promotional booth for this new line of tyres (maybe not so new considering how slow I am in catching up with motoring developments) in the middle of Orchard Rd today - Potenza S001 by Bridgestone. Direct comparisons are only between it and the Re050 which I have not used before - has anybody fitted these new rubbers yet and if so would you like to share your experience with us here? Currently on the RE11 and thinking of changing soon.. the S001 looks good on paper indeed. Potenza S001
