Expects delay in iPhone5 second batch delivery ..... Massive brawl at Apple supplier's factory About 5,000 police officers are called to stop the fight involving 2,000 workers at the Chinese plant. Yahoo report : Foxconn plant closed in China after workers brawl A Foxconn factory in China, which assembles Apple's iPhones, has shut down for an indeterminate period after about 2,000 workers were involved in a brawl at a dormitory. The plant was closed Monday and it is not clear how long the shutdown will last. Foxconn said the trouble started with a personal fight that blew up into a brawl. But some people said they had heard factory guards had beaten workers, sparking the uproar. These accounts could not be independently verified. The unrest is the latest in a string of incidents at plants run by Foxconn. The company has faced accusations of poor working conditions and mistreatment of workers at its operations in China, where it employs about 1 million people. Authorities told Foxconn that about 40 people were taken to hospital and a number were arrested. link : http://sg.news.yahoo.com/video/foxconn-pla...-155204421.html

http://sg.news.yahoo.com/suntec-brawl-victim-rejects-s-20k-offer--report.html 3 Cheers to Paul L Liew... Something seems to be very wrong with this case. In fact when this A**es put up for bail and declared that they are required to travel to...blah blah country, doesn't our judicial system smell a rat after the Romanian have escaped in the same manner. (except no bail) IMO, we really needed to buck-up our Law system....I wonder how is our MIW will handle this issue further down. Forummers what's your take on this case? Thanks for your feed back.

It all started when STOMPer Julia took a portion of anchovies from a container that was placed outside a hawker stall in Clementi. Before they knew it, the China hawker couple started punching and hitting her family of three. Said Julia of what happened (Apr 14): "A China hawker couple at Food Loft Block 431 Clementi Ave 3 assaulted my family of three all because of some anchovies. This happened around 1pm yesterday. "One of my photos clearly shows a small table with a container of fried onions and another container of anchovies beside some trays outside the stall. After paying for the noodles, I took a small saucer and placed some anchovies onto it. "The lady owner started to raise her voice at me saying, 'You Singaporeans who are paying so little money want to have so much of everything'. "She kept on mumbling and complaining to the crowd and passers-by about me getting the little extra anchovies. "My point is if they didn't want to give the anchovies away, they should have kept the items inside and out of sight. My husband then took pictures of this woman grumbling and of the noodles. The woman complained to her husband and he came after us and assaulted all three of us. "We had to run for our dear life and they continued to chase us, kicking and banging on our locked car. The woman even stood in front of our car to stop us from driving away while her husband kicked and slammed the car from behind. "We rushed to SGH to see the doctor for my back and head injury sustained from a fall while trying to stop my husband from hitting them. Both of his eyes were swollen and my poor son got a blue-black under his right eye. The medical bill was S$180.00 and all because of some extra anchovies. We also made a police report later at night." According to Julia's husband, they decided to snap photos of the food and the stall as they wanted to make a report to NEA as the food did not seem clean. At this point, the China man came out and shouted, 'Why you taking picture?' He later started shoving Julia's husband around with his body and his own camera, telling him to 'sit down and be photographed'. In the middle of this, Julia's husband went to ask the China woman why she 'made the matter so big'. He held up the plastic container of anchovies, which she slammed down onto the table. This sparked off the assault, with the China couple punching Julia's family, including her 14-year-old son who tried to defend his father. The China man also used an object to hit the STOMPer's husband on his head. Julia's husband said he tried to defend himself from the man's punches, but his wife and even the coffeeshop owner prevented him from doing anything. The China couple is apparently known for their bad temper, the coffeeshop owner told him.

Flung chilli sparks 17-man brawl A fight broke out after a woman threw chilli at a stall-owner. He had asked why she did not ask his permission to take condiments from his stall. -AsiaOne Mon, Feb 07, 2011 AsiaOne SINGAPORE - A woman in her 20s has been accused of starting a 17-man brawl after flinging chilli at a stall-owner. The incident took place at a food outlet beside Boon Lay MRT station on Feb 6, the fourth day of Chinese New Year, at approximately 10.30pm. Chinese newspaper Lianhe Wanbao reported that the woman had taken some chilli from a food stall after ordering a dish from another nearby stall. The stall-owner, who was having dinner nearby, then asked her why she did not ask for permission to take the chilli. This enraged the woman, who flung the chilli at the stall-owner while shouting that the stall-owner could have the chilli back. A quarrel ensued between the woman and the stall-owner, which quickly spread as the stall-owner's companions entered the quarrel, together with the woman's boyfriend. Flung chairs The quarrel degenerated into a fight after the stall-owner allegedly pushed the woman's head with her hands. The woman's boyfriend then retaliated, causing four other men to beat him. One man used a chair as a weapon. The boyfriend's nose was injured and bled profusely. Seeing that her boyfriend was being beaten, the woman then poured a bowl of hot soup over the stall-owner's head. 11 men shouting At this point of time, 11 men appeared and started shouting aggressively. Witnesses alleged that they were summoned by the woman for a gang-fight. The woman's boyfriend was sent to the hospital for treatment. Impolite to take other stall's chilli When interviewed by Lianhe Wanbao, the 38-year-old stall-owner complained that the woman had taken chilli from his stall while ordering food from another stall. He also said that all he wanted to do was remind the woman that it was only polite to ask for permission and did not expect it to degenerate into a fight. He requested that the woman and her boyfriend apologise to him.

Clementi wet market drama: Woman accuses man of molest Angry wife wields chopper after woman accuses her fishmonger husband in public. -TNP Fri, Feb 26, 2010 The New Paper Photos: Shin Min Daily News By Benson Ang IT BEGAN with accusations of molest, turned into a shouting match and then turned violent. Somewhere between all these, prawns were hurled and hair was yanked. Which may not be all that surprising since the antagonists were female and one of them is a fishmonger. The catfight - or should we call it a fish-fight - took place at a Clementi wet market around noon yesterday. One woman grabbed a club used to kill fish and faced off her alleged molester's wife, who was armed with a chopper. A crowd of stallholders and customers gathered as the women grappled with each other, grabbing each other's hair and pushing each other with one hand while holding on to their weapons with the other. Some onlookers even stood on the serving area of the stalls to get a better view. A Shin Min Daily News reporter, Ms Tan Ying Zhi, who saw the fight, said: "The people around them were shocked. Some shouted, 'No, no, quickly call the police!' But nobody dared to go up and grab hold of the chopper." Then the alleged molester entered the fray and grabbed the chopper from his wife. By this time, blood was smeared on the arms and clothes of the two women. Thankfully, it was only fish blood. The only human blood spilt was that of the husband, whose right hand was cut when he retrieved the chopper from his wife. The rear of the stalls face each other and they share a common space less than 2m wide when they are doing business. We are not identifying the parties because one of them claims to be a victim of molest. Challenged her to a fight The alleged victim told The New Paper yesterday that she had confronted the man after the alleged molest. She claimed that he apologised to her. But matters came to a head yesterday when Ms Tan showed up yesterday to interview her. During the interview, the woman said at the top of her voice that the male fishmonger was a "molester". Witnesses said the man did not react, but his wife told the accuser to keep quiet. When she refused, the wife challenged her to a fight outside the stall. The accuser refused to come out of the stall and retorted: "What right do you have to challenge me?" She then threw some prawns at the wife, who became angrier and forced her way into the stall. Seeing this, the accuser picked up a dark blue club which she uses to kill fish. The wife grabbed the accuser's chopper, which was lying on the stall's serving area and held it over her head. The scuffle broke out, and even when the man grabbed the chopper from his wife, it did not end. The wife pulled the accuser out of the stall. The accuser fell and the two went at each other again after she picked herself up. They were finally separated when a middle-aged woman pushed in between them to keep them apart. As a man pulled the wife away to a corner, she shouted at the accuser: "Do you think you are so great?" Both the accuser and the wife then called the police. The police confirmed that they received a call at 11am informing them of a dispute. A 56-year-old male suspect had been arrested and investigations were continuing. "I let it pass because I thought it was unintentional, and because the space is so small," she said in Mandarin. "But on Sunday, when I bent over to open the freezer, I deliberately moved my buttocks away from him. Yet, I could still feel a hand touching my buttocks. "He pretended that he didn't know what he was doing, but it was no mistake," she alleged. "I told him that even if he 'gained' a little, he should not try to 'gain' even more." When asked why she accused the man loudly in front of other people, she said: "I'm not going to hide what he did. I couldn't stand it any more." She said she and the man were on friendly terms before she confronted him about the alleged molest. Things turned sour after that, she said. She acknowledged that the man's wife did not hit her during the scuffle. Her claims could not be verified because the man and his wife could not be contacted yesterday. 'Fierce' When the accuser began operating her stall there six years ago, the man was already there. When approached by The New Paper, three stallholders described the accuser as "difficult" and "fierce". They said they also find it odd that her stall is sometimes open until 9pm. Most of the stalls close by the afternoon. One claimed that the accuser had told him she had previously worked in Ang Mo Kio, but moved after a shop owner there molested her. Another claimed that she was jealous of the man because his stall has more customers. A meat-seller said: "The stalls here are so narrow, it's inevitable that people bump into one another." Responding to their claims, the accuser said: "The man's stall is his business. Why should I care?" She said she stayed back late sometimes to remove the heads of prawns for sale the next morning. "I am the victim," she said. "Why are people attacking me?" [email protected] This article was first published in The New Paper.

Have read several threads, find it very common that fans (or drivers) of Hondas and Toyotas were comparing and arguing models of these brands, like Jazz vs Vios, Wish vs Stream, Tailgate Accord by Altis, etc... Recently, Honda launched their new sleeker Civics, and the upheaval of comments came....(from Toyota fans?)
