Footage was caught on camera of the windshield of a yellow bus collapsing forward after just a simple brake, with debris, paper and glass shards falling on the road, potentially endangering anyone that might have been in the way. The windshield of the bus collapsed insanely easily, almost like it was glued together with the UHU art glue we used in primary school. Someone certainly messed up in terms of the quality assurance of the vehicle. The glass shards could have easily resulted in permanent damage to either the driver or anybody on the road, and it is definitely a blessing that it didn’t Clearly, this vehicle was also probably not subjected to those routine preventive maintenance checks, or else this incident might have been prevented. Perhaps, the regulation for maintenance checks needs to be stricter and more frequent as well. Netizen Comments Netizens have expressed their concerns about the potential dangers that the damaged windshield could have caused as well as the poor quality of the vehicle’s components. Personally, I think that a complaint should be filed to the manufacturer of that particular bus. We might not be as lucky next time to prevent severe injuries from occuring. Nowadays an anti lock braking system is used in almost all modern vehicles. This system prevents accidents like this, where you lose control of the steering as you apply the brakes. I'm driving an Auto car and every morning without fail the "frog" in my car will always "craok" when I apply the brake. Such as stopping on the red light and going off when it turn green. Or when I need to drive the car under raining eather the "frog" is back. But it eventually goes off after some time, I presume the "frog" had lost his voice after so much croaking. Do any of you guys know what is wrong or how to go about preventing it... Thanks for any advise.

I just sent my car for it's 10K servicing a few days ago. Today I just notice that when ever I applied my brakes, there's a very high pitched screeching sound that seem to come from my rear right brakes. This happens when I'm only gently applying the brakes. Is this goning to be a costly problem? I'm thinking maybe my brake pads are worned down (how come so fast? It's still a relatively new car How much might it cost to replace the brake pads if they are worn down?

Hi need you guys' inputs. Car in issue here is the 2007 model 2.0L Camry, basically the current model minus the minor facelift. Sometime back while on the road the traffic light turned red at a not-here-not-there point (you know la) and I had to brake hard to a stop. Travelling speed was probably around 60-70km/h. Note: hard braking, but surely not sharp emergency braking. Road condition was dry but slightly bumpy. What I experienced was a rather violent vibration from the brake pedal and steering wheel, or basically the whole car. It did not happen immediately when I applied the brakes, but midway through the braking. Whether braking ability was still present or not I can't recall, as I was kinda shocked momentarilty (luckily there was no other vehicle in front). I remember instinctively stepping in more and the vibration went away, and everything went back to normal. Following so I was wondering whether it was ABS. However in this scenario the road was dry and there wasn't any loss of traction. I've experienced ABS on another car before and I don't remember it to be as 'violent' as this. Furthermore, it wasn't as it was sharp emergency braking. Eventually I gathered it could be the road bumps that 'confused' some sensor or whatever during the hard braking. Just recently, my dad seemed to have experienced the same issue. This time he was on expressway around 100+. I don't know how hard he braked this time relative to my experience, but his description of the vibration was similar to mine. I am planning to go to Borneo Motors for this. But before that I'd like to consult you guys on what could be the problem, and if there has been any similar experience. As you know, it may not be possible to emulate the same thing to the Toyota guys. Not saying that they will not believe, but it's also hard for them to diagnose without a first-hand experience. Hence I thought it might be helpful for me to gather some intelligence from you all first. Thank you, and may all drive safe.

Hi, Any recommend workshop to check on braking issue on my honda. wanna check if it master cylinder faulty or caliper issue ? had bleed many time and it soft pedal to ground again. after bleeding good for a few day, afterwhich same issue again. Thanks in advance Regards Terence

Why Braided Brake Lines than usual brake lines? Braided steel lines are a type of brake part that attempts to remedy some of the problems associated with solid steel brake lines. In a braided steel brake line, a soft brake line is encased in a mesh made of braided strips of steel. You can think of it as a long, thin steel basket. This type of line is sometimes used in household plumbing applications, too. In fact, if you take a look under your kitchen sink, you just may see some braided metal lines. When pressing brake at higher speed ( about 60 km/hr and above), can hear "ge ge ge" sound and steering wheel vibrating. some time can also feel brake pedal push my foot intermittedly. would you suggest what is the problem? I am driving honda stream thanks.

bros, need help here, my steering wheel vibrates when i gently brake starting from 80-60, then it just disappears. this happens when even when i have driven for quite some time. beentold by my mechanic that it is ABS kicking in. but that does not happen when i pressed harder and braking from the same range of speed.

Hi guys, need some advise on this issue: Last week i went back to TTS for my 10K servicing. After few days of driving, i then realised that i can feel the whole steering vibrating (juttering) when i apply my foot on the brakes while slowing down and stopping. Is this abnormal? Before servicing i didn't have this issue. what could have they done to my car?

I find that my car brake is not very sensitive. My car workshop advise me to change the brake pad and also to skim the rotors. I was told that the time to change the brake pad will be when the brake give out a hissing sound when you pressed on the brake. This is because there is a inbuilt strip within the brake pad which will make a hissing sound when it had been worn down to a certain thickness. Otherwise, it is not necessary to change. Is this true? Some people also claimed that we should never skim the rotors. May i know the reason why? My workshop claim that by skimming the rotors, it make the rotors more even, resulting in better grip when the brake pad pressed on the rotors. Is this true?

Hi friends, 3rd time I am hearing this sound when braking. the sound come directly from below my brake pedal when i depress on the pedal. All three times different circumstances. I remember 1st time down slope i brake hard the sound come out... few seconds. 2nd time same slope, but brake gently but the sound come out. today 3rd time level road at tuas.. smooth braking... sound come out.... The best I can describe the sound is ..."KKKrkrkrrkkk" haha... really like metal heavy friction with metal.... Anyone know what happen to cause the sound???

Recently started to hear a whirling sound when doing hard braking. Any gurus to advise on why? Sounds kicks in when braking hard at high speed of 90kmh and above. No sound when braking at slow speed. Car is a Nissan Latio. 80,000km mileage. Will bring to mechanic, but just wanted to get a pre-diagnosis.

As above. Can any bro/sis who had similar experience to share? My car is Corolla Altis(2008) model. Just change front brake pad recently. When slowing down, especially when car is slow, it will have a "tok" sound before coming to a stop. It is a on and off issue, therefore I hardly can pin point the problem. When I driving fast and come to a stop, it will be ok. Anyone with similar experience?

Driver side got "glock glock glock" sound when braking

Need help guys, my car when braking will have "glock glock" sound(like knocking sound) from driver side.. when driving no problem.. if brake lightly n slowly stop the car den the "glock glock" sound is slow tempo.. if brake a bit harder den will be fast tempo.. but so far driving no problem.. juz scared anything loose or broken.. any ideas what might have happened? juz went for servicing last week and this juz happened today.. i changed my fan belts, brake disc n pads last week.. orginal toyota one.. and these 2 days i have been overloading a bit on my car.. driving a vios 05 with 6 persons.. would appreciate any initial diagnosis before sending my car to workshop.. -
My brake pads / rotors are in working condition and are not worn but at very low speed braking (below 10 kmh turning into side road, for example) sometimes it makes mild screeching sounds. Incidentally, cold morning also same sounds when i move the car out from the carpark. Any bro experience this? Workshop has checked it and said nothing wrong with the brakes.

Hi Guys, Recently i just did the following: Change of all Engine Mounting, Change of All Suspension; Gear Box Over haul; Rotor & Brake Pad Change(Front done, rear using drum which not done); Brake Oil Change However every time when i brake, there seems to be a jerk which a sound that "thump" with a jerk forward before coming to a full stop. Even before i did the above changes the "thump" before come to a full stop is there. Initially i thought is the engine mounting. Does any brothers here encountered the same problem?

hi guys! just bought a 2nd hand passo for a week. currently my brake pad worn out already. going to replace em once CNY is over. however other than the squealing sound i hear frm the pads, there's a growling noise from the left side wheel. rather loud and it sounds like the wheel bearings up lorry already. it's those metal rub metal noise however i don think is the wheel bearings as the sound comes only when driven a period and the disc got heated up and applying brakes. anyone got similar issues? [bigcry] Any got workshop to recommend for pad change tmr? i know a lot of work shop opens aft 7th feb.

Hello all, I rarely post here, but would appreciate if any more experienced bros here know what i'm in for. Anyways, I drive a run-off-the-mill CS5 Ralliart Lancer. The old one..with the sucky GDI turbo... I've recently changed to Brembos from an Evo 9 front and back (stock, the car already comes with discs front and rear) expecting the braking to be way better. To my horror, it became WORSE. Now this, despite the steel brake lines, WELL-BLED (multiple times, 4 bottles of Ferrodo brake fluid) hydraulics, alignment and installation checks, etc etc... I'm starting to suspect the brake pump doesn't have enough power to distribute the fluid around. A look into an Evo's bonnet reveals that the pump is indeed bigger (double layer, one line to the rear, one to the front) as compared to my car (two lines to the front and one line to the rear) Are there any after-market master servos/pumps/etc etc that you guys know of that will fit? Gunna try to buy an Evo master cylinder and pump tomo to see if it helps...any input is much appreciated.
