Hi, Anyone has good workshop to recommended for wheel bearings replacement? I prefer a ws that is equiped with a hydraulic press and the mechanic needs to be skillful in changing wheel bearings. Not use a hammer to knock in the bearings. Thanks. For those who are interested how wheel bearings should be properly replaced, you can click on below link: How to change wheel bearings

Need advise on how to self check if wheel bearing is worn. I've replaced a new set of tires but the woot woot noise persist. Very irritating... Also thinking of replacing front brake rotors as the steering wheel vibrates when depressing brake to slow down... Or do I have to replace rear rotors as well? Do I need to send the car for wheel alignment after doing the above repairs/replacements? Btw my car mileage is 135kkm and has not done replace the above arts before. Thanks!

I had to do one side- left as upon rotation of tyres, the AUTOBACS mech asked me to see that he could shake the wheel slightly even though it was tightened with some nuts. On the right side, it was very solid and did not budge. He then said that the hub bearing's needed replacement. I went to get the spare part outside (OEM but Japan-made NTN) at $45, labour about $75. Seems reasonable but question is should I do the right side that has no problem? Don't want to have to fix that side after a few months...

Hi all, I'm looking to replace the ball bearings on my fan motor for my home aircon compressor. The manufacturer doesn't have this sold separately and wants to sell the whole fan to me at $300. The fan is still working well except that it is very noisy. I remembered near serangoon area, there's a shop that sells all sorts of bearings? But I can't remember it liao. PS: The aircon is not for my car. It's a home aircon. $300 for just a fan, is just not worth it.

Hi, I need to change my front wheel bearings cos they are seriously giving way already.. just wanted to ask if any bros here can recommend a good mechanic/workshop that won't try to overcharge? I got chop a few times already.. now trying to be more cautious.. My "regular" workshop quoted me about $380 to change the front bearings (as a pair). Also, is it true that bearings must be changed as a pair? Thanks for any input!!

Should I expect the above items to come with the suspension itself if I buy from the stockists? or sold separately? Driving N1.5, is this only for front or front and back? is this something i should change if i change the suspension?

I think i'm due for bearings change. after confirming with one of the bros here that the increasingly loud roaring sound is not from the tyres of engine, i'm gonna park the ride at my trusted mechanic (in pioneer road) and let him sort it out. he might have to change the bearings if that's the cause. anyone did this before? checking on US websites, for high speed bearings on octys (non-stock) it seems to be around US$70, so stock should be cheaper.....is the range right?
