Sixty-stone Agee has formed an amazing bond with tamer Mark Dumas after he plucked her from a zoo as a cub to star in films and television ads. The pair are so close they wrestle, kiss, nap and even go swimming with each other. And 60-year-old Mark is so confident he has no hesitation sticking his head between the 7ft monster

As we see the yo yo situation, just taking a poll on your gut feel and why you say that. For me, this week, the lowest for STI was 2740. I believe it will move up slightly but still not go to 2900 range as China still iffy. Technical recession for 90% sure and the rate hike is almost certain...

Eye-popping news: China & Russia start first navy drills. Though they are both commies in ideology, they are not exactly comrades-in-arms so to speak. Each has drifted apart since the early years and have evolved into their own style of "communism" individually over the past century. Each is now with their own sphere of influence over their proxies and a force to be reckoned with in it's own right against all other states especially their minor neighbours. So to learn that they are joining forces for a naval drill is bewildering. Purpose? Not exactly a secret but to ruffle the feathers of the eagle at the other end of the pond to let it know that both of them are not to be trifled with individually and more so when they are in some sort of a pact. Of course nobody will expect they will merge and work seamlessly as one entity to counter anyone during a crisis but still something to keep the Pentagon sit up and pay particular attention with this type of drills. A most horrific way to die - to be eaten alive by a predator. This reminded me of the tragic death of Timothy Treadwell and his girlfriend who were both attacked and eaten alive by Grizzlies some time ago. Imagine the mother's anguish and despair to listen to her daughter's gruesome death... Geesh, what a way to die... http://news.ninemsn.com.au/world/8286927/m...bs-eat-daughter Mother hears bear, cubs eat daughter 06:00 AEST Thu Aug 18 2011 A teenager who was eaten alive by a brown bear and her cubs in Russia called her mother and gave a horrific running commentary of the attack, telling her "the bear is eating me!" Olga Moskalyova, 19, made three calls to her mother during the attack, which lasted more than an hour and also claimed the life of her stepfather, Igor Tsyganenkov, the Daily Mail reports. The trained psychologist, who had been camping in a forest in the extreme east of Siberia, phoned for help after she saw the mother bear attack her stepfather, breaking his neck and crushing his skull. Tatiana Tsyganenkov initially thought her daughter was joking when she screamed: "Mum, the bear is eating me! Mum, it's such agony!" "Then I heard the real horror and pain in Olga's voice, and the sounds of the bear growling and chewing," Mrs Tsyganenkov said. But Mrs Tsyganenkov could only listen helplessly as her daughter described the attack, telling her the mother the bear had brought its three cubs to feed on her. The teenager made her final call about an hour after the first, telling her mother she loved her and no longer felt any pain before the phone cut out. Police arrived at the scene with Mr Tsyganenkov's brother half-an-hour later to find the mother bear still devouring her dead victims, who were buried this week, and hunters were sent to destroy the animals.

pretty amazing but sad animal story. ----- Mother bear kills cub and then itself Friday, Aug 05, 2011 The Chinese media has reported on an extraordinary account of a mother bear saving her cub from a life of torture by strangling it and then killing itself. The bears were kept in a farm located in a remote area in the North-West of China. The bears on the farm had their gall bladders milked daily for 'bear bile,' which is used as a remedy in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It was reported that the bears are kept in tiny cages known as 'crush cages', as the bears have no room to manoeuvre and are literally crushed. The bile is harvested by making a permanent hole or fistula in the bears' abdomen and gall bladder. As the hole is never closed, the animals are suspect to various infections and diseases including tumours, cancers and death from peritonitis. The bears are fitted with an iron vest, as they often try to kill themselves by hitting their stomach as they are unable to bear the pain. A person who was on the farm in place of a friend witnessed the procedures and told Reminbao.com that they were inhumane. The witness also claimed that a mother bear broke out its cage when it heard its cub howl in fear before a worker punctured its stomach to milk the bile. The workers ran away in fear when they saw the mother bear rushing to its cub's side. Unable to free the cub from its restraints, the mother hugged the cub and eventually strangled it. It then dropped the cub and ran head-first into a wall, killing itself. Many TCM practitioners have denounced the use of bear bile in their treatment as there are cheaper herbs and synthetics that can be used in its place. Bear bile is traditionally used to remove 'heat' from the body as well as treat high fever, liver ailments and sore eyes.

Some guy claimed his son filmed what look like a "bear" leaning against a dustbin. The video was quite grainy but could see the "bear" moved a bit. Personally felt it is highly unlikely this was really a bear. What do you think? http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg...d_bus_stop.html STOMPer Philip3D was driving along Ulu Pandan Road when he saw what seemed to be a bear standing by a dustbin at a bus stop. Said the STOMPer: "I was on my way back from the airport with my son, driving along the main Ulu Pandan Road and noticed something strange at the bus stop, near a dustbin. "At first we thought it was a big dog or some sort of creature. "My son took this video on his handphone, and after many views we realised it could quite simply be a bear! "After it caught sight of us and started heading our way, it made sense to drive off without hesitation. "It was a close shave."

Bear says: "If I roar in the forest, the entire forest is shivering with fear." Lion says: "If I roar in the jungle, the entire jungle is afraid of me." Pig says: "Big deal.... I only have to cough, and the entire planet lives in fear."

I wonder if anyone out there got burned terribly with their investment products or holding on to stocks and see them keep sinking deeper and deeper like no end. I got a friend who lost $30,000 actual lost (not paper lost) because he bought the T-bond on the Lehman bank. The vote include paper lost, if you know what this mean (e.g. stock price falling below your purchase value but have not sold yet).

This bridge is on the Old Donner Pass Highway. It has a spectacular view of Donner Lake and Donner Pass on Route 80. A bear was walking across Rainbow Bridge (Old Hwy 40 at Donner Summit, Truckee) on Saturday when two cars also crossing the bridge scared the bear into jumping over the edge of the bridge. Somehow the bear caught the ledge and was able to pull itself to safety. Authorities decided that nothing could be done to help Saturday night so they returned Sunday morning to find the bear sound asleep on the ledge. After securing a net under the bridge the bear was tranquilized, fell into the net, lowered, then woke up and walked out of the net. There is a moral to this story you know. This old bear made a wrong move and found he was hanging by his nails. Somehow he was able to pull himself up onto the ledge where he saw he was in a very bad, impossible situation, and what did he do? Yep, he took a nap and sure enough God took care of the situation while he was asleep. The moral is that when confronted with a bad situation sometimes the best solution is to take a nap and let God take care of the rest.
