Not sure if anyone of you uses the business internet banking platform of OCBC, it is not half as user friendly as the personal internet banking. Firstly, the business banking website can't even be opened using a smart phone browser, you can only do it via a desktop computer or a tablet. Once you enter the website on a desktop, on top of the user id, they will make you key in an organisational id before the password and once all that is done, you need to key in an otp generated by the token. They do not even have an option for them to send the otp to your phone. I have feedbacked for them to improve their internet banking eons ago but they are still sitting back and doing nothing. As for their phone app, it is crap and always hangs.

When you transfer money by internet banking or pay a bill by internet banking, nowadays you have a dewberry or token or whatever the piece of kit is called which generates a number which has to be included in the transaction for the payment to go ahead. How does this 'token' work. How is the number generated and how is it verified by the bank???

Why when a bank rings me up do they ask me to verify who I am?? I see no point. They do not require me to verify when I receive mail from them. In fact it is the bank who should verify themselves to me before I give them personal details about myself. OK it is different if I ring the bank. Of course then I have to verify myself.

Following the problems in the sub-prime lending market in America and the run on Northern Rock in the UK, uncertainty has now hit Japan. In the last 7 days Origami Bank has folded, Sumo Bank has gone belly up and Bonsai Bank announced plans to cut some of its branches. Yesterday, it was announced that Karaoke Bank is up for sale and will likely go for a song while today shares in Kamikaze Bank were suspended after they nose-dived. While Samurai Bank is soldiering on following sharp cutbacks, Ninja Bank is reported to have taken a hit, but they remain in the black. Furthermore, 500 staff at Karate Bank got the chop and analysts report that there is something fishy going on at Sushi Bank where it is feared that staff may get a raw deal.

Hihi, remembered I ever asked before abt Java link to access Internet banking.. Till today, I'm still asking around.. Banks customer services are unable to answer my questions.. Hence, I have no choice but to start this thread... Can any bros enlighten me on what Java do I need inorder to login to my internet banking. I need my company helpdesk to help me install since we are not allow to do so on our own.. Java runtime / Java applet / Java script / or anyother java.. My pc is window2000... Appreciate..

Anyone knows how that thing works? People with DBS Internet Banking will know what I'm talking about. After entering your User id and pin, you have to enter a randomly generated password by pressing a buttton on your ib secure device. Wondering how the thing works... Enlighten me someone.

Anyone has a problem receiving their IB 2FA PIN? stewpig chowtar bank supposed to be doing some 'migration' for their internet banking from some stone age platform (bec u cannot do posted transactions, so much for modern convenience) to a new 'exciting' platform (duh? the other banks have been providing this eons ago). The call ctr lagi best SCB: Usual greetings Me: Hello, is there a problem with your IB? SCB: Yes. (long stony silence) Me: (WTF? Can elaborate? After 45 secs) You mean, it cannot be accessed now? SCB: Yes. Me: (another 45 secs of silence, this guy ish a call ctr champion) So is there an expected recovery time? SCB: Yes. Can I have your IC no? Me: (Yes...your see lang tao lah, want IC no. for fxxk? I also not asking for account details) So your IB will be up by tomorrow? SCB: Yes Me: Ok. Thanks. (confirms SCB is a SCewed Bank) So you have been warned: Now that SCB are migrating their IB platform from Earth to Ur-anus, it will take a while for the sms PIN to reach you on Earth, pls be patient.

classmate (she) got an offer from another bank at 18% higher. should she negotiate for higher of just accept the offer. anyone tried negotiate when offered? Heard from advisor, there is a danger, if you want to nego, but first u need to say don't accept the offer. Then it's up to the investment bank to revert to counter offer or rescind the offer,sometimes, it's possible, instead, the bank offer the job to the second best candidate. How? sis & bro, anyone ever dare to take the bull by the horn and nego with this potential risk of the job offer rescinded? pls share your views?
