Transcab taxi VS Audi A6: A clash of egos on the expressway
thatJDMahboy posted a blog entry in MyAutoBlog
Transcab taxi drivers are notorious for their driving behaviour among the various taxi companies. It is an impression that the public has developed over time, which I couldn't agree more. Here's why: Warning: This video contains excessive flashing lights. If you have photosensitive epilepsy, please do not watch the video What Happened? In the TikTok video posted by the cam bike, a Transcab taxi furiously chases an Audi A6 down an expressway. From the cam bike's speedometer, the Transcab taxi and the Audi A6's speed was approximately 100km/h or above. While pursuing the Audi A6, the Transcab repeatedly flashes his high beam at the A6 for a prolonged period. The taxi driver's flashing rate was so fast that he might as well have turned on his high beam. NGL, regardless of what may have happened off-cam, the Transcab driver's actions suggest that he was itching for a fight with the Audi driver. Lane 4 Is The New Lane 1 With all this unnecessary drama and 'road hogging' on lane 1, a black car (who obviously couldn't give two shits) tore down lane 4 of the expressway at high speed. Judging from the cam bike's speedometer, I am not surprised if the black car was travelling at 120km/h or faster. Netizens' Comments 🤷♂️ Here you go! Hi guys, I was about to commit a second hand about 2 years old A6 1.8 TFSI Ultra Edition. What is the pros and cons of this car? Tried searching but to no avail. Seems like there not much mentioned. Also, do you guys know how to differentiate the Matrix headlight? Heard that this is a very expensive option. Any comments and advises are welcome. Many thanks in advance.

clarencegi75 posted a blog entry in MyAutoBlog
Dark days are in store for all of us. To all those finding it difficult to resist the urge to head outside and to travel, Audi Australia has a treat in store, perfect for all those already suffering from cabin fever during these circuit breaker days. Unwind in the comfort of your own home and join Audi on a four-hour long drive of the New South Wales countryside in the all new Audi A6 as it travels through rolling hills and even navigates past dense fog and rainy sections. Hopefully this will aid in calming you guys down a little. Leave it running as a lullaby before you go to sleep? Heh! Stay safe everyone! #flattenthecurve -

Test drove an Audi A6 awhile back, have never driven an Audi before. Was quite surprised that the driver's footwear was surprisingly cramp, there was a buldge sticking out from the centre console and I had to rest my left foot in an awkward angle. Had me thinking that this might be an issue with Audi's LHD converted RHD cars. The E class I drove had no such issues though. Are all Audis like that?

Hi Friends,i am helping a friend,he is driving an Audi A6 with the 2L turbo engine, which is i think the same engine used in the V.W. Golf GTI,recently his car used about 1L of engine oil every 1500km,which i think is a bit too much, his mileage is 65,000km,no leak is detected, agent says it is normal, did any V.W./Audi owners here have this problem, thanks.

I did a forum search on 'Adblue' and no results came up. So I am starting this thread to share with you a recent Adblue refill experience on a rental Audi A6 Diesel Estate car, while on holiday in the UK. My family had gone to the UK for a driving holiday this winter. We rented from a company called SIXT, picked up the car at London Heathrow on arrival, and drove out of London immediately on the day we landed. In winter, hours with light were shorter so I had to maximise daylight time for all the driving I had to do. The plan was to go as far north as Glasgow and Edinburgh, before driving back to London. I had booked an Estate Car (so that we get more boot space for all our luggage). I had hoped to get the Mercedes E-class estate but they issued me with an Audi A6 Estate instead. No matter, since this was the car in the same category of rental. This is what the car looked like. It was quite long. The boot was very spacious, as with most estate cars. The car was almost brand new, with just over 3,000 miles on the odometer. Plenty of gadgets to play with, including a very useful Satellite Navigation system that brought us to our destinations efficiently. The car was roomy and the boot (or trunk) space was very good. We had plenty of luggage. Here is a video of the car, including the Sat-Nav system. Correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think that this model of car (Audi A6 Estate Diesel) is available in Singapore. Now, the point of this post is not just to show you the car, but to talk about my virgin Adblue experience, which will be the topic of the next post.

I am considering between these few cars for purchase in 2015. Mercedes-Benz E-Class Saloon BMW 5 Series Sedan Audi A6 Audi A5 Sportback Can bros here tell me which one you'll recommend and why? Important to me is : 1) driverability. ie, handling and power must be good. 2) as little maintenance problems as possible. I hate to go to the workshops to repair stuff, even if they are minor. Very time-wasting.

Although Audi is busy with the introduction of its 2012 A4 Allroad model at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show, they have something up their sleeve. And that is the 2013 Audi A6 Allroad which they have announced just recently in Germany. Looks like the Audi A4 Allroad will get a big brother. Audi has adopted its Allroad recipe for the A6 by taking the A6 Avant and making it ready for the urban jungle. If you were to really compare the A6 Avant with the A6 Allroad, the Avant is a sleeker-looking vehicle and the Allroad is more suited for some rough and tough driving. Firstly, the Allroad

Audi announced the press launch of the A6 locally by inviting journalists and the media to the Changi Exhibition Centre, where they set up a huge circuit for us to put the car through its paces. Audi went all out to ensure that us privileged media had a great time, with a sandwich buffet spread and even a massage for the tired souls. But of course, the fun parts were outside, when we got to experience the all new A6, in a manner which most buyers will probably not put their cars through. There were three stages, the most sedate of which was the Park Assist station. This was to showcase the A6's novel new parking system, which (almost) literally parks the car itself. It's a complicated system of sensors and etc, and the driver still has to control the brakes and throttle, but it is quite an interesting feature, and it is quite surreal to see the car steering itself into the lot. Handy for those tight parking spaces you find sometimes. The other two stations involves slightly more hard driving. There was the slalom stage, where Audi offered us the chance to try out three cars. There was the new A6, in standard form; an old A6 for comparison; and a modifed new A6 that has been weighted down, so that it weighs the same as the old A6. The purpose of this test was to highlight the new A6's lighter aluminium construction, and how different the car feels with less weight. There was a noticable difference, as the new A6 felt more controllable, with better handling, than its predecessor. It goes to show that bigger may not always mean better. The final test, and the most anticipated one, was the dry circuit. Here, journos get two rounds in a new A6, set to Dynamic mode, and have to navigate a circuit set with a series of lane change manouveres, quick and slow corners, and another slalom, before ending with an emergency braking test. Us being us, we probably thrashed the life out of the poor car. But the A6 managed to cope well, despite having to endure numerous rounds of being abused at high speed. We don't recommend doing any of these on public roads however. All in all, the A6 proved an impressive performer on a day of tough torture. Which bodes well for potential buyers I guess. If you want a sneak preview of the new A6 (but without the hard driving unfortunately), Audi are showcasing it at an event held at the Marina Bay Sands, together with a massive 14-storey tall mega yacht, from the end of August until September. The supermaxi yacht, called the "Audi ultra lightweight", will then be moored at the One Degree 15 Marina Club until October. For more information, click here.

When it comes to tuning an Audi, most would think of ABT Sportline. The performance tuner has been tuning Audis since the 1980s and is pretty well regarded amongst Audi/VW enthusiasts. ABT Sportline has had one of its cars, an Audi 200 Wagon driven by James Bond around Bratislavia in The Living Daylights. The Audi 100/200 evolved into the A6, and now, years later we have ABT Sportline tuning the latest C7 Audi A6. Not one of my best opening statements but it does tell you that ABT have been tuning Audis for a few decades. As with most European tuners these days, ABT Sportline has started with tuning the C7 Audi A6 diesel. The A6 3.0 TDI gets 282bhp instead of the standard 245bhp. The ABT Power S package adds another 18bhp with a different turbocharger as well as a whopping 610Nm compared to the already fantastic 510Nm. With diesel tuning, its more about torque than horsepower, more about mid-range pull than outright maximum power. ABT also states that it also coming out with a tuning package for the petrol powered cars. The 2011 Audi A6 3.0 FSI supercharged V6 engine will get its ECU tweaked making it develop 410bhp instead of 300bhp. No torque figures are revealed as yet but the FSI supercharged engine is similar to the one powering the Audi S4. This means ABT has a base figure of around 440Nm. Already a nice figure for a mid-sized sedan. ABT Sportline adds a subtle bodykit for the Audi A6 too. Discreet spoilers, slightly more aggressive bumpers front and rear and bigger wheels. The tuning firm proposes rims that range from a 'sensible' 19 inch to steam roller sized 21 inches. There are three types of designs to choose from and all look huge in the press photos. No performance figures are revealed as yet but the details given above are good enough for coffee shop/forum discussion amongst enthusiasts. IF they have gotten over their discussion on why the C7 A6 looks so similar to the B8 A4.

Set to make its debut early next year, the 2012 Audi A6 has been completely revamped with styling cues borrowed from the bigger A8. The new A6 hides plenty of lightweight aluminum and high-tech steel components under its revised exterior. Inside, the A6 benefits from a wrap-around cockpit that envelopes both the driver and front passenger with leather and wood. Luxury amenities range from heated/ventilated seats to optional massage functionality. The available powertrains include two gasoline engines and three diesel mills.A hybrid version will be introduced down the road. The most economical unit, a 2.0-liter TDI, is expected to achieve about 48 miles per gallon, while the hybrid will come in closer to 38 mpg. On the gasoline side, the 300-horsepower supercharged 3.0-liter TFSI powerplant achieves 27 miles per gallon and runs to a limited top speed of 155 miles per hour. The other gasoline engine is a 2.8-liter naturally aspirated unit that produces 204 horsepower and 206 pound-feet of torque. The other 2 diesel options come in the form of a 3.0 litre unit with either 204 hp/295 lb-ft or 245 hp/368 lb-ft. The more powerful unit is rated at nearly 40 mpg yet accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 6.1 seconds. A range of transmission options on the 2012 A6 will be available. A six-speed manual will join a CVT and seven-speed S-tronic automatic, depending on the choice of powerplant. An eight-speeder will arrive in the hybrid.
