  1. For some unexplained reason, I have been on a bit of a astronomy/science-fiction binge lately, having tumbled down yet one more Youtube rabbit hole. Having also recently watched Mickey 17, 'other worlds' have been on my mind. Now, beyond my love for science fiction and occasional forays onto the Internet, my astronomical knowledge is limited at best. I was playing around with a fascinating online visualiser (Solar System Scope), and just from randomly clicking around the solar system i stumbled onto a fascinating object: Haumea. There's plenty you can read up about Haumea, but the important and standout thing is this: It's egg-shaped! What the actual hell! My basic understanding of planets (dwarf planets included) is that they are balls. Spheres. And here we have an egg-shaped one. I am so intrigued. The universe is fascinating.
  2. I would say this is an alignment, although some use the word conjuction more loosely. Nevertheless, from bottom to top, the four visible planets are Jupiter, Venus, Mars and Saturn. Nestled right between Jupiter and Venus is Neptune, but I can't see it. Still a nice image. Taken at 0616 by by Huawei Mate 20 Pro, with night mode.
  3. For many weeks now, I have noticed a bright white light rather low in the evening sky. Based on my guess-timation, it is in the south west section of the sky. Is it Venus, a star, a satelite or UFO? Paiseh I NPGT.
