I have a Butler Tube Amp TDB 475. One of the channels currently seems to be not working. Anyone has any idea whether any shops locally can do a check or repair?

Is an amp/DSP really necessary ? I have the following * Pioneer AVH-P4350DVD with Head Unit cover to replace original headset * SoundStream AMP - X Stream XTA720.4 720 Watt * Sound Processor: Pioneer DEQ-P7650 Multi-Channel Processor Unit * Blaupunkt Velocity Capacitor ! No speakers The above was purchased from another owner who dismantled it and could not fit his new ride. I was 'advised' the following - Trade in XStream and Velocity capacity and replace it with a smaller amp thats able to fit below car seat. The amps are big and by placing it behind the boot, i needed to custom make a board (more money involved) - install new speakers cos the original won't be able to take it - including labour / installation, trade-in of Xstream amp & capacitor, install new speakers + back cameras would come up to $1K or so (price not fix yet as I was told my the techs to speak to the boss the next day) What do you guys suggest ?

Is it possible to drive component speakers in active configuration using only the amp in the HU? i'm using alpine 9855 but have not changed from stock components yet. do not intend to have amp cos cant seem to find the space.

Newbie to ICE.. anyway, would like to ask ur.. the ICE in my Sunny is stock.. it has a stock Clarion HU CD1800 (http://www.clarion.com/sg/en/products/2006...1700802949.html)>> just want to ask, possible to add a woofer to it?? need some bass.. heard of something called Amp while reading the ICE folder, but not sure how does things work.. thinking of budget of around $400-$500 to get things done.. 2nd hand i don't mind.. is this possible?? appreciate inputs..thanks in advance.. not able to go ICE MU due to work commitments..

Currently basic setup HU-Sony GT700 Front Speakers-Helix Blue Component Rear Speakers-Helix Blue Coxial Active Sub-Steelemate Soundproofing-Front doors double layers Question: [ol] [*]Do I get an amps to power the speakers or do I sound proof rear doors or replace rear coxial with component? [*]If get amps should I get 4 channel for all speakers or just a 2 channel for the front? [*]Or would it better to get X02 2 channel amps for all speakers? [*]If amps do breakdown, what is the repair cost between 2 and 4 channel?[/ol] Thanks for any adivce.

Hi icer, Need some help here. Was looking for amps for some time. Initially was introduced Lanzar heritage 4ch 1000watt. Later some installer advise me to go for Audison SRX4 at about S$400++, including installation. Can the bros here suggest some amps along this price range which I can compare with? Thanks.

head unit pionner 6850 front - CDT KA 61 rear - stock SW - Kenwood 8" with amp So now the question.... what type of amps to buy ? 2 channel or 4 channel. not really looking into high end stuff.. prefer clear with strong mid bass . budget - value for money type.... dont want something cheap but crappy. I was recommended by shop to by CDT KA .. wanted to buy the CL 61/62 series but they claim since quality same and cheaper why not... dunno whether got conned or not recommendations please anyone...?? After reading the posts here, learn a lot but also get more confuse. GURUS pls advise. Thks

My amps run pretty warm after a short 30mins of usage and I'm thinking of adding a fan to blow the amps. Anyone doing that? I intend to diy a device that taps onto the remote line of the HU so that it will turn on and off together with the amps and it will switch off only a few mins after the HU is off so that the fan can still blow my amps. Anyone knows of a ready made device as described? Anyway, cooling the amps is good as cooler amps prolongs lifespan and gives better sound than hot amps right?

Dear Gurus, I am looking to improve my stock ICE at a small budget, appreciate some feedback from the gurus here. For starters, my stock ICE is the JVC KW-XC406 HU with 4 speakers. My Latio has all 4 speakers on the doors, the rear speakers are not on the back board. For playing CDs and radio, the sound is acceptable to me, since my ears are not so concerned about sound imaging. Vocal clarity is ok too, so my only gripe with this system is that the bass saturates easily when turned to higher volumes or when the songs have more punchy bass. Not sure if it's due to my turning on of bass boost with an EQ setting that has higher bass. My intention is to use a Sony amp, model XM-SD46X, which is listed as $399 on Sony SG website. Pairing this to the Sony 10 inch sub XS-L101P5 ($151), and drive my stock speakers first. According to the specs found on other sites, the amp is a bridgable one, so I suppose I can run it with my HU's front output to 2 channels powering the stock speakers, and the rear channel from HU powering to the bridged channel in the amp to power the sub. So one question is, what happens to my rear speakers? Do I have to disconnect them, or can I use the HU direct output to the rear? According to the Nissan audio technician, it's either RCA or HU outputs, not both. Given the price, can I get better quality amps and sub from other brands? Probably I'll consider upgrading the component speakers too if I have budget in future, but not upgrade to top dollar stuff.

As above. which will be more costly? and also efficiency wise. what is more recommended? Secondly ar.. was reading some specs for the amps. Lets say example a 4 channel 1000W amp. Means how much power would it supply to a channel? Is it 250W? Thanks.

Are precision Power Amps any good? I have one "old school" amp left in my store room... Think might be around 7- 10 years old.....wonder if I can still use it. ahahahahah

Hi, was thinking of getting a amp for my speakers. Got a pair of 6" 200watt 4ohm speaker and 2 pair of 5" 150watt 4ohm speaker. My budget is around 150 to 200. Any 4 channel amps to recommend that can power up the above speakers? Intend to put 2 pair of 5" on first 2 channel and 6" on the next 2 channel. Eva

Hi Folks, Could someone give comments on the Blaupunkt TSA 460 (Class-D) 4-channel amp ? Any one has tried using one or any commetns ? Was thinking of using this to power the front and rear speaker. Hear from some installer that this amp is not usable for such setup. Any comments and advise would be appreciated. Thank you.

Dear all, ICE newbie here... anyone heard of this G&S amp or know how is it? Specifically the GSRedline series, GS8000? Apparently discontinued model...
