  1. As we draw closer to the launch of the Alfa Romeo 4C at the Geneva Motor Show, the Italian car maker has released more images of the coupe as well as an interior photo for the first time. The side view of the interior photo shows a simple dashboard layout. The sexy Italian two-door model measures less than 4 metres long and features a carbon fibre monocoque. The car weighs at approximately 960kg. The 4C will be powered by a new four-cylinder 1,750cc engine capable of 240bhp. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a TCT dual dry-clutch transmission. This means that the mid-engined sports car has an expected power-to-weight ratio of 4kg/bhp. For comparison, the Nissan 370Z has a ratio of 4.54kg/bhp and it already goes from 0 to 100km/h in 4.9 seconds. The driving experience can be tailored via Alfa Romeo's DNA selector, which adds a 'Race' mode to the familiar 'Dynamic', 'Natural' and 'All Weather' settings.

  3. The upcoming Alfa Romeo 4C has been captured when undergoing testing in Italy. Lightly camouflaged, the production 4C remains true to the lines of the stunning concept that stole the show at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. Compared to the concept, the road-going version has a re-designed hood, bigger mirrors and restyled headlights. It also appears to have wider front and rear windscreens which should improve visibility. The coupe is observed to be sitting very close to the ground. The Alfa Romeo 4C is expected to be powered by the 1750 TBI engine that develops over 200 bhp. Paired to a dual-clutch transmission, the lightweight coupe could go from 0 to 100km/h in less than 5 seconds before achieving a top speed of approximately 250km/h. The 4C is expected to debut at either the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March or the Pebble Beach Concours d
  4. Alfa Romeo has raised consumer's expectations for its upcoming 4C coupe. In the latest teaser for the mid-engined car, it states "BEHOLD, THE CAR TO END ALL CARS IS NIGH". The new model is previewed by the 4C Concept that was presented at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. The production version will derive its styling cues from the 4C concept and will likely be propelled by the 1750 TBi engine currently found in the Giulietta QV. The turbocharged lump produces 232bhp with 340Nm of torque. This is enough to send the Giulietta QV from zero to 100km/h in 6.8 seconds. In the sleeker and lighter 4C, the century sprint timing is expected to be much better. Power will be sent to the rear wheels via a dual-clutch transmission. The new 4C will be making its debut at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show. Often referred to as the successor to the 8C Competizione, let's hope that the new model can walk the talk. Note: The photos shown in this blog are the 4C concept
