Was stopped last night and requested to give my name and nric and speak into a hand held device by a policeman. I passed but I did drink one pint but stopped a few hours before heading back. The device measure alcohol via what is detected from my mouth. I guess if they detect alcohol then I will be requested to blow into their device. I was lucky I stopped drinking hours back but if I had taken a last mouth or two before heading off I would probably fail? DRINK DRIVING: a) if the driver is found with more than the legal limit of 35 microgrammes (ug) of alcohol per 100 ml of breath, or b) more than 80millimigrammes (mg) of alcohol per 100ml of blood Even when the alcohol level is under the legal limit, the driver can still be charged with drink driving if he gets into an accident, as he is deemed to be unable to proper control of the vehicle I guess a person can drink lots and get away as long as he ensures his breathe is in the low alocohol range. I will not do any one for the road thingy anymore. Me bad. Will not drink even a sip next time if I drive.

Super imba accuracy. Well. There are actually more than these.

Hi Friends here, Juz for knowledge sake. Do we cause our seedo reading to be inaccurate when we change to bigger rims? I understand that the wall of the tires becomes shallower when switch to bigger rims. Is there a formula that we should based on in terms of incremental of rim size vs decrease in the side wall of the tires? My wira was formerly on 175/70R13, to 195/50R15 currently. If my next set of tires becomes 195/55R15, does that mean that my speedo will become inaccurate? Or can we conclude that any increase in rim sizes will cause the speedo to be inaccurate? Thanks for the lessons here. Cheers!

What are the factors that affect the speedo's accuracy? Tyres, rims? Tyre pressure? If the car is stock, is the meter accurate?

The model of my car comes with 16" and 17" rim/tyre. How do I find out whether the speedometer is factory calibrated for 16" or 17" rim/tyre ? If the standard package comes with 16" and I selected the sport version which is upsized to 17" .... my speedometer and milleage is out ? Thanks

Given my original spec of tyres:175/65R14, I had since up size to 185/55R15. I'm wondering for my next change to change it 205/50R15 or 195/50R15. The latter has a boarder range of brands and model to choose from and the cost is therafter lower. But however the accuracy in the speedo is about +1.6% (if not wrong) And for the 205/50R15 the difference is less than 1% Which should I choose? Or Should I keep to existing profile which is oso ex due to poor demand. I believe a 205 proifle would hv better grip n stability then a 195. In fact I shortlist 2 different models 512 n CPC2. I believe the 512 is of lower specs compared to CPC2 but if use the 205 profile for 512 the grip aspect should be improved. Am I rite to assume this? Would a 205 profile increase my FC trememdrously n pick up? Tks!
