And they said I had change the taillamp, I told the guy this led taillamp was original from C&C for 2016 model lancer ex, the issue is I been driving for the pass 1 year plus and this issue happen right after I service with them in December 2018, I didn't even touch my taillamp before how could the resistor cut away and the insisted me to change the whole taillamp for $800 plus in order not to have the same problem again, what I am not happy is about they accuse me for cutting it away, any bro can advise me what should I do? I am really lost for now
  2. Don't see this thread before but I think it was discussed before in other forums. How do you move off or accelerate in an auto car? Do you 1) jam the accelerator 2) move off slowly, release accelerator, press again and release then press.... 3) light pressing of accelerator until desired speed I believe few will do number 1. But I heard driving instructors teach both 2&3 so lai lai let's discuss. Who do what and why and is it better? We had a thread on manual cars so let's talk about auto cars.
  3. Hi Guys, Need advise for my almost 8 year-old Honda Stream. Recently, I can feel my car shaking when I try to accelerate. This happens especially when I am accelerating up a slope. I dun think it is the engine mount as it was replaced less than 2 yrs ago. What could be the cause?
  4. Only saw one topic in regards to it. But anyone adjusted it. Why? example the cable is slack. But acceleration is fine but very weak to climb up hill and feel acceleration pedal have a mild vibration when accelerating. My mounts is due to be replaced but does it have any link to it.
  5. Hi all, need some advices from you all out there. I'm driving a 2007 Nissan Latio Premium. Recently I felt my car lost power when accelerate. When picking up that time, the car like no power. But when it reaches 60km/h, it's back to normal. At first I thought is the throttle dirty and had went to my workshop to get it washed. And i had also done my servicing. But after driving for 4 days, the problem back again. Anyone had face this problem before? Would appreciate if someone could help me on this. Thanks.

  10. I thought torque is the turning force that pushes the car off the line? So with so much torque how come they're still slower? 1.Diesel engines, because they have much higher compression ratios (20:1 for a typical diesel vs. 8:1 for a typical gasoline engine), tend to be heavier than an equivalent gasoline engine. 2.Diesel engines also tend to be more expensive. 3.Diesel engines, because of the weight and compression ratio, tend to have lower maximum RPM ranges than gasoline engines (see Question 381 for details). This makes diesel engines high torque rather than high horsepower, and that tends to make diesel cars slow in terms of acceleration. 4.Diesel engines must be fuel injected, and in the past fuel injection was expensive and less reliable. 5.Diesel engines tend to produce more smoke and "smell funny." 6.Diesel engines are harder to start in cold weather, and if they contain glow plugs, diesel engines can require you to wait before starting the engine so the glow plugs can heat up. 7.Diesel engines are much noisier and tend to vibrate. 8.Diesel fuel is less readily available than gasoline. http://auto.howstuffworks.com/question399.htm
