  1. Here are the videos I made of the 7 dinners we had on a cruise ship called the MSC Preziosa. It is a big ship, at 140,000GT, carrying 4,000 passengers. It was a sailing out of Genoa, Italy. We stayed in the Yacht Club, which is like a premium product within the ship itself. Yacht Club guests eat at a separate, dedicated restaurant, away from the crowds which dine at the Main Dining Room. Since this the Makan Corner, let me share with you the 7 dinners so you get an insight into the type of food served. Day 1 - Mediterranean Flavours and Savours Day 2 - Mediterranean Flavours and Savours - Tex Mex Day 3 - Gala Dinner Day 4 - Italian Flavours and Savours Day 5 - Italian Flavours and Savours (Sea Day) Day 6 - Gala Dinner (Lobster) in Barcelona Day 7 - Mediterranean Flavours and Savours - Final Dinner before disembarkation the next day Cheers and have a great evening!
  2. Anyone know which rich guy bought this? Article says Singapore-based, so may or may not be local. But regardless, ridiculous amount of money for a boat. http://megayachtnews.com/2013/07/ocean-par.../#axzz2ZTaOJfAh http://www.superyachttimes.com/editorial/3/article/id/10858

Now I just wake up...I saw this ""Yacht Trips: Cheaper Than You Think"" Then I recalled the Groupon site had before deal which was something like 800 per 4 hrs...So based on 8hrs for daytime...it will be 1600...for 10 person....I thought Yahoo got a better deal !!! it turn out to be a CHEAP 7618.40...And YES...CHEAPER THAN I THINK !!! Just a talking point...Those who are rich..Pls do not comment...Those who think it is ranting...Pls do not comment as well...
  4. Maserati, crewed by a team led by Giovanni Soldini, set sail today in an attempt to establish a new record for the Cadiz-San Salvador crossing. Maserati's first record challenge is an Atlantic crossing of 3884 miles. Giovanni Soldini and his crew of seven experienced yachtsmen set sail this morning at 11:50:08 hrs GMT from the port of Cadiz, heading to San Salvador (Bahamas). The crew's ambitious objective is to set a new record over the Cadiz-San Salvador distance, a journey of 3884 miles across the Atlantic that has never been attempted by a monohull yacht before now. Skipper Soldini is accompanied by German yachtsman Boris Herrmann (navigator), American yachtsman Brad Van Liew and Spaniard David Vera (both watch leaders) as well as four Italians: Gabriele Olivo (trimmer), Guido Broggi (boat captain), Corrado Rossignoli (first bowman) and Marco Spertini (second bowman).
  5. Italian police have seized Flavio Briatore's yacht. A week after the banned former Renault boss hosted Bernie Ecclestone on the 60-metre Force Blue on the Monaco harbour, police boarded it on Thursday. They had followed the yacht with high speed boats to the port of La Spezia, near the northern city of Genoa, with the 60-year-old Italian, his wife Elisabetta and new son Falco all on board. Local prosecutor Walter Cotugno ordered the boat be impounded on the suspicion it is improperly registered as a charter. Investigators suspect Briatore has registered it in the Cayman Islands, with a hire price of 275,000 euros a week, in order to obtain a tax break and to avoid paying sales tax when anchoring in European harbours. They suspect the yacht is not chartered at all and in fact is used only by Briatore's family. Source: GMM
  6. Curious whether anyone own a yacht here?
