f**king horrible service from Car Lite Singapore Pte Ltd. Made a booking Mitsubishi Lancer Ex from 10/02/2023 - 12/02/2023, reach earlier prior to booking time to my shock car was so badly damaged, bumper falling off and external all scratches. No choice cancelled this booking and was stuck at the carpark for 1.5 hour plus with Evan and his friend just to see if I can book another replacement vehicle. Ended up called there customer service to complain and was told the only available car was either a van or Mazada 3. It was already so late no choice I had to just rebook and make do with this Mazada 3 which was also so cui. Bumper also coming off and so many scratches. Returned the car on 12/02/2023 way earlier to my end trip booking timing, but untill now my intitial deposit of $100 for the vehicle and my wallet balance still isn't refunded to me because they charging us for damages?! But it isn't even caused by me. P.S Just look at their website photos, car all looks so nice but in actual when you borrow the car is totally different.

Sometimes we encounter mind-boggling sights on the road that leave us scratching our heads. What happened and how did it get there? Recently we spotted yet another such scene circulating on one of our favourite pages: The page had captioned it "You can't park there, Sir." You can watch the video here: 298360005_784581842681174_4396976411540370995_n.mp4 Huh? What the! How can? Immediately, we thought that the car had deliberately parked itself there in the middle of the road. Mystified, we did some sleuthing and re-watched the video, as well as digging through the comment section. Aha! Actually, contrary to the caption, the car was not been parked on the road as an act of obstinate rule-flouting, but had most possibly gotten into an unfortunate collision with a heavy vehicle ahead. We have edited the picture for the readers' better viewing clarity. The said heavy vehicle was spotted ahead, parked on the road shoulder: Furore descends. Many netizens protested at the arguably misleading caption of the page, pointing out the BMW's damages and the presence of the heavy vehicle at the road shoulder. Two commentators were engaged in discussion, regarding the actualities of the sight. Some had already assumed it as their immediate and final stance, that 'Yes, it was definitely an accident!' There was also an overwhelming barrage of netizens pointing out the seemingly obvious: Yet another wave, some expressing exasperation with the caption's assumption: Oh dear... Alright guys, I think we can also see for ourselves. Further explanations Other than the netizens who were not so pleased with the choice of words, there were those who jumped in to account for the context of the caption: As well as this "Oh, I see!" moment: Well, to be very fair, not everyone watches TikTok so not everyone will get the reference, so captions like these can lead to slight misunderstandings. Although, it is also not very ideal to use such a flippant caption when someone was just involved in an accident, with damages incurred and repair fees to pay for. Discretion is important! When reading and viewing content on the internet, its always good to do some further research and scrutiny so that we get the full picture. Just as well, it wouldn't hurt to brush up on our pop culture references. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. There's this product that's been going viral on TikTok called The Flik, which is this hilarious remote-controlled neon sign that you can attach to the back of your car. You can either thank people when they're being considerate on the road. . . or flip them off when they're not. 🤣 Since it's controlled by a remote, I've seen videos of drivers attaching the remote near their steering wheel so that they can easily flip the sign on when they need to. I personally think this is pretty funny to have but it might not be super practical in Singapore (especially with road-raging uncles and aunties). It could be the next best thing to solve road rage since people can just signal their feelings now instead of getting out of the car and physically fighting others. What do you think? Is this a better alternative to road rage or would it actually backfire and lead to worse fights? 😅

This 91-year-old grandma became a viral comedy hit with her grandson, who learned 'how awesome old people are' http://www.asiaone.com/world/91-year-old-grandma-became-viral-comedy-hit-her-grandson-who-learned-how-awesome-old-people A 91-year-old grandma has attained social media stardom as half of a comedy duo alongside her 25-year-old grandson. Five years ago, Ross Smith was in college at the University of Dayton when he started filming six-second videos on Vine. He had amassed a sizable following, but for one of his clips, he asked his grandma Pauline "Granny" Kana to block one of his basketball shots. And from there everything skyrocketed. "My brand just turned into me and Granny taking over the world," Smith said. Today, Ross and Granny have 15 million followers on social media, including more than 4.6 million followers on Facebook and 2.1 million Instagram followers on Smith's official accounts alone. The two beat out more than 17,900 videos to win $100,000 through viral media website 9GAG's "Fun Off" contest, with almost 250,000 likes. The combo do everything from trick beer pong shots to trying out flamethrowers to making parody videos for rap songs. "Our humour is universal," Smith said. "Everyone knows Granny is funny." For the first three to four years, the clips were viral but not exactly profitable. Smith took some time off from his social accounts to pursue an MBA at the University of Dayton and play pro football in Europe in 2015. But he realised he enjoyed working with his grandmother, so he started pursuing it full time and was able to parlay it into a successful career for the both of them. Part of the show's appeal lies in their genuine relationship, said Russell Schneider, 9GAG's head of sales and business development. "Ross is like a young man next door," Schneider said. "It's very rare for us to see a grandmother and grandson grow close and have fun with each other like BFFs. It's this cross-generational BFF relationship that makes them so special." Granny on Facebook: 'Some of the elderly love it.' Granny said there's a misconception elderly people don't like or use social media. She uses Facebook to keep in touch with family, and enjoys watching viral dog videos. "Some of the elderly love it," Granny said of Facebook. "It's interesting. You see different parts of the space, the world and the people all around having a good time. Seeing people doing things, I like it!" Granny gets the idea that their act is a big hit - though she calls every platform Facebook, Smith noted. However, she didn't really realise how big of a following the two of them had the first four years until Smith got her an iPad for Christmas. After that, he couldn't hide their videos from her. "Even when I'm walking to the plaza, which I live about three blocks away, sometimes people going by with their cars they stop and say, 'You're Granny!'" Granny said. "When I get to the plaza, the people in the stores they come up to me. It's just a party at times." Her favourite video she's done involves her raking a pile of leaves over a secret saucy message written in chalk on concrete. Or, it's the time she got to film with her celebrity crush Chuck Norris -- she appreciated his sincerity and generosity toward everyone who was filming with them. "First time Chuck has been beaten in his whole life," Granny boasted. Most important, she enjoys being around her grandson and learning about him throughout the process. "He's easygoing, happy-go-lucky," she said. "He likes to try everything, and everything just seems to fall in place." Smith is amazed by how much their act has taken off and that he could make a career out of hanging out with his grandma. The two are continuing to work on their social media videos and have a television show in development. They're also working on raising money for Alzheimer's research. By the end of this year, Granny hopes she'll be able to learn how to drive for the first time. (She failed driver's training in her youth.) Most importantly, Smith has learned his grandmother can still teach him quite a bit. She won't throw away milk when they go on vacation, Smith explained. She'll put it in the freezer for three weeks because she grew up poor and "back in the day that was precious food and drink." It's taught him to value material things more. "Honestly most people - and I was probably one of those people at the time - don't have respect for the elderly," Smith explained. "Once you're old, you kind of go away and go to a nursing home. Doing this opened my mind to how awesome old people are and how cool they live their lives. They appreciate the small things we don't appreciate in this fast-paced advertising industry-based life."

Within a day of its set up, the PAP Confessions page on Facebook has already gone viral. The page has garnered close to 2,700 'Likes'. When contacted via the Facebook page, one of the page administrators responded and claimed that there were four people behind the page. The administrator said while they hope the page makes waves, they will filter out any defamatory postings. They say the point of the page is to provide an anonymous platform for PAP members and associates to voice out what they may otherwise be unable to. The page administrator also claimed that three of them are active members of the PAP, and have been party members for 12 to 35 years. One post on the page is the main reason it has gone viral. It is an open letter addressed to the Prime Minister and signed off by a "Tan Ah Kow". So far, the posting has been shared by almost 5,000 people, liked by more than 6,000 and received close to 600 comments. The writer claims to be a grassroots leader. Response to the letter has been mixed, with some supporters, some skeptics and some who think that the Confessions page phenomenon has gone a little too far. When asked what they had to say to those doubting the credibility of the postings, the page administrator said: "It would take a leap of faith and judgement should be passed on the content rather than the person posting it." http://www.tnp.sg/trending/content/pap-con...page-goes-viral Here is the letter from "Tan Ah Kow" taken from the facebook of PAP Confessions. A lengthy but well written article. Letter from a Grassroots Leader to PM Dear Prime Minister, I am one of your grassroots leader. I've voluntereed and served in one of your constituency for the last 20 years. I've had these thoughts percolating in my mind for many months. With what I observed in the last 2 weeks, starting with the Punggol BE then the White Paper, I decided to take the risk and go ahead and send this letter to you. I hope you do not take any of these the wrong way. After the GE2011 elections, the PAP was dealt a big blow with the unprecedented loss of a GRC. You did a post-mortem with us, and with your MPs. One of the message we tried to send you then was: You (meaning the PAP leadership) just didn't listen to us. We told you there were many problems on the ground, you did not listen. After the GE, you said PAP will change. The next challenge came in Hougang BE. You picked a great PAP candidate and for a while, we thought he could pull off a win. But against the advice of the candidate and the PAP grassroots, you deployed your big guns (KBW, TCH etc) and hijacked the message on the ground. You did not listen. The Punggol BE decisive loss was unexpected. The PAP grassroots told you to send one of us, a grassroots type person, to the fight. You chose to parachute in an unknown, someone who just joined the party weeks ago. He commited gaffe after gaffe. You did not listen. And right after the Punggol BE, you unveiled the White Paper. I know that those close to you, including the mainstream media, are praising you for daring to take on the problems of the future, of not sweeping things aside. But let me tell you this : I think you, and your top leadership, screwed up big time. I am sorry I have to use this language. You see, I'm a business leader too. I know what its like to be surrounded by people reporting to you, who are naturally disposed to tell you what you want to hear. Or are all molded in the same way. I am outside your
