Just went there for dinner around evening time. While waiting in the queue into the carpark,witness 2 valet driver who are shifting the stretch of park car right beside the queue. Both drivers just sprint and E brake for the distance of 20m,1 of them while opening the door of a volks beetles even hit the wall beside it and just walk away like nothing happen. Saw another 1 shifting a black wrx braking inches away from the front car.. Although the valet parking are free,i advise all to avoid if possible..If really have to let them park your car,pls check for any damage.

He left the key with valets at RWS while having supper there and returned to find the car missing. -- ST PHOTO: MARK CHEONG In the early hours of last Tuesday, two valets at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) were entrusted with the key to a Ferrari 458. Instead of safeguarding it, they used it to take the $1 million sports car for a joyride across Sentosa that lasted over an hour. Their alleged misdeed was exposed when the owner, a 61-year-old retiree, checked the footage on his in-car camera. Outraged by the incident, he has since filed a police report and issued a letter of demand to RWS through lawyer Chia Boon Teck.

Supercar owners who let valets handle their vehicles do so at their own risk, motor insurers confirmed yesterday. Coverage for such cars may protect only the drivers named in the policy, such as the Ferrari owner whose vehicle was allegedly taken for a five-minute joyride by two valets from Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) last Tuesday. Such restrictions are included in policies for "highly valuable cars", said Mr Derek Teo, president of the General Insurance Association of Singapore. Had my newborn there and have a unpleasant experience yesterday. Went there to bring my wife and baby back yesterday ( 2 Nov '12 ). As usual, carpark was crowded and have to opt for valet parking. Left instruction my car was keyless entry with push start. Wanted to explain how it works..the guys just brush it off no problem. Since its the 2nd time i use their service, i believe they may have experience. Called back an hour later say steering wheel locked. ( i had a tiny tweak on the key system ). No problem, i went down thinking since its my fault for not explaining well. To my horror. I say my beige car seat (bottom) stained with pen inks and tear. Quickly moved the car away as i was blocking someone's car. Request to talked to the manager (Its a malay guy). Came, took a look at my car.. says cannot be left by them. Many mistakes. 1) Told me all their guys dont put their pen behind their buttocks. (Then proceed to explain to me even if pen put behind also wont write on the seat. I told him i very confirmed no markings before that. 2) I said fine, if you prove to me all your drivers pocket got no holes( since all their drivers wearing jeans, without holes in their pocket, it will be true that the pen wont write)..i apologise to you. I treat it as my mistake. He laugh it out says fine, you go check lor. 3)Told me only got 2 drivers, one malay and 1 chinese. I checked the malay driver and politely apologised. Then checked the chinese guy. True enough, there was hole on his pocket. The manager saw it and told me again blah blah cannot be lar. Now very angry, i saw the pen that the driver was holding, Told him i go write on my seat now, if its the same ink, what you going to say. Again, he laugh it off saying not possible. 4) Went there, i really wrote on my seat. Proved to him, he again say any pen can do this, i told him you still want to deny, why not i send it to foresenic and check? 5) Gave me the WTF look, ask me go polish come back claim from him. I asked him, are you going to acknowledge the mistake, he still die die say i trying to fleece him off and this was not the first time someone trying to fleece him. Tell me he himself driving a wrx( as if i care) and he very confirm leaving a pen on the buttocks wont draw on the seat. i told him why not we put a penknife on the pocket see if it cuts the seats when sitting down. He still show me the angleof the buttocks when sitting down, wont happen one lar. (His pocket is those very low type ) Decided to walk away. no point argueing. I am going to Thomson medical and stomp this. Actually, wont be so piss if he acknowlege the mistake and we move on from here, ( i believe i should be able to remove the stains, minus the small cut. ) What pisses me is i already showed him so many evidence and he still says i going to fleece him off.

just remember this incident 1 year ago... saw a driver argue with a valet parking attendant. the parking lot at both side of the road are full parked. left two empty white lots which the valet parking attendant used two chairs to block. one driver just removed the chair and argue with the valet parking attendant that is is public parking unless he can show LTA approved them to use it for valet parking only. The diver bo chap, parked and go. I wanted to chong to him and shake his hands but he walk t fast.... If u are reading this. I salute U! will u dare to do the same? i confess i no guts..

Most of us use valet parking service without a second thoughts. When we read the fine print on the reciept, it says:- ......The management accepts no responsibility for theft, damage, or other misdemeanor caused to vehicles, equipment or contents herein whilst parked in the premises. Vehicles are parked at owner's risk. Does it mean based on the printed statement, if we find our car damaged, scratched, or our belongings stolen/damaged, the valet service provider can just shrug and walk away, telling us "Too bad, you parked it at your own risk"??? Some valet serives even drive your car to some public backlanes and park it there ie not within the premises.... again, if there's damages etc found, too bad. The owner of the car (their guest/customer) leaves the car in their hands, but they take no responsibility at all. The point is at many hotels/clubs, it appears that the customer/patron has no other choice but to use the valet parking service, unless he's prepared to spend an extra 30 mins or an hour to park his own car somewhere else and walk back to the hotel/club. Do you use valet service under the circumstances where they take no responsibility at all? BTW, i do empty valuable contents from the car and take a good look for scratches etc before and after the valet service is executed. In fact, has any bro here successfully claimed damages/compensation from valet service provider?

Hi fellas, Anybody know if valet parking is offered at Marina Mandarin, Conrad Hotel or any other hotels within walking distance to Suntec? Got a full day of events at Suntec tomorrow from dawn till past dusk, and am thinking of flat-rate valet parking at the abovementioned hotels to save on parking costs. SYDNEY - An Australian man took a gleaming Ferrari for a dawn joyride Friday after mistakenly being handed the keys by a casino valet. The red F430 Spider, reportedly the property of a professional poker millionaire playing at Melbourne's Crown Casino, vanished after the blunder. "It has happened in the past from time to time that people lose their tickets, and in these circumstances we ask for proof of identification and a valid driver's licence," said casino spokesman Gary O'Neill. "Those procedures were followed on this occasion." It took police six hours to find the high-performance vehicle at a suburban service station. A 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene and charged with theft.

Anyone tried it before? I see the word "free", but something tells me there must be a catch. No one is going to run a valet service for free unless compensation comes from someone else. And even if it is free, why must lots be reserved for those who use the valet service for 'free'? -
Dear all, Today is a sad day. I brought my wife to SGH for a checkup. As the carpark opposite the A&E was full, I had to use the free stack alet service found in the car park. Mr Singh took my keys when I entered the carpark and handed me a valet slip and adviced my that tipping was optional as the service was free. When I went back after 2 hours to collect my car, Mr Singh was already waiting for me at my car and even wound down my windows. I exclaimed to my wife on how good the service was, even wound down the windows to let the heat escape. I happily passed Mr Singh the slip and the tips, got in and drove off. When I reached Marine Parade after 20mins and parked my car. I was tearing my coupons when my wife who was standing in front of my car asked me "How come u scrapped your front? so ugly.". I was shocked, huh? I just resprayed my front bumper and lower lip a month ago. I literally jumped out and to my dismay, my front lower lip was scrapped on the left causing the paint to crack and peel. Upon inspection of the damage, the "wound" was still powdery and "fresh". There were black markings on the "wound" which indicated it was scrapped along a painted curb. I'm 100% sure th damage was caused by the valet. However, I knew using the valet was at your own risk. But I can't stomache the fact that Mr Singh did not even have the ethics nor professionalism to inform me. It's hard to beleive that he was ignorant of the damage done was it was a rather long gash (10cm x 2cm). Anyone has similar experiences? Anyway to seek redress? Thanks all

hi all, I remember some mths ago there is this valet service to drive u home in ur car for $20 and can make a few stops.. is this service still ard? same price? anyone got the number? of are there any others to recommend? thnx!

hi bros. would like to know if a valet can reject your car? I have a dinner 8/8/07 at a hotel at orchard road. and was very late already around 7.45 so just proceed to the valet parking. come out of the car with my keys on. they ask me to drive to the car park my self. saying that there is still lot of lots left there. is it that my car is not posh enough to park there? or the car that are allow to park there must be bmw posh lambo Ferrari.
