just a curious question, will over usage of the +/- gear leads to an early failure of the gearbox as compared to using fully auto?

Which is faster? tiptronic manual vs clutch manual
Mecontle posted a topic in General Car Discussion
I compare a non-DSG box with paddleshift or sport gate (omitted since proven that DSG is faster than manual) 1 auto-box: rev to peak torque & upshift 2 manual-box: same is the 0-100 same for both? Anyone has experience on this? -
Need help bros here on DSG, esp the Mk VI Gold Sport 160bhp. 7speed Dual clutch gearbox DSG. Does that mean the tiptronic shift is standard on the milti funtion steering wheel or does VAG offer as option with the paddle shift?

We bought our car on the 9th Oct and is due to collect tomorrow 21th Oct. It went like this. 9th Oct Was at Peugeot early with my fiancee in the morning after breakfast. Intention was to buy a Peugeot 206cc; we have tested the 206 1.4 Tiptronic twice prior to this day. We love it. The 206cc are not for test driving but were assured that the 206cc would drive just as good or even better. We knew, the 206 and the 206cc are of different class. That particular weekend, both cars were going at $59,900 and $92,900 respectively. After getting a trade-in value of $31,000 for my KIA Picanto 1.1 manual. We started working out the finances for the 206cc. To take a $61,000 loan (at 3%) for the 206cc for ten years, I only need to come out $660+ per month, still quite within our budget of $1,200 per month for a car including misc expenses. We spent half the morning working out our finances at the Peugeot showroom. Then suddenly after a phone call from my brother, we started having second thoughts. He told us the hard-top of the Peugeot has known noise problems after prolonged use. He also thinks it's ugly. His comments were quite bias as he is into Japanese sports car. He also tried to convince me to get the WRX he and myself test drove on two occasions. He believes we (fiancee and me) can easily get a heavily mod up WRX for that kind of price on a 206cc. We left Peugeot showroom and actually head straight to test drive the WRX ($83,000). My fianc
