Yesterday along clementi avenue 6, was driving at speed limit, 50-60 kmh. Heavy rain somemore, and one part where it was quite dim, a lady wearing black.. got one damn crossing just a few tens of metres away and she choose to cross the road this way. When will they ever learn? If drivers hit them, automatically is driver fault cause never slow down! Rant over.

I kana accident a few months ago. Decide not to claim insurance and fork out $$$ to repair. 1st WS I went is totally crap... Spend $3K+, change front lower suspension arm, front bumper and side fender and tie rod + respray. The rest of the arms go straighten etc. However, the car feels totally horrible. Wanders around when braking and accelerating (pull right on braking and left on accelerating). Mechanic tell me its like that one.... Cannot be repaired... WTF.....Feel like setting the car on fire or bang it into bits. Then saw on the ads a WS called Sin Hwee Motor that does chassis alignment one. Decide to go there to try out. After 2 weeks, the car is out of "hospital". Lots of stuff were changed out, cross members, suspension arms etc.....Chassis alignment etc.... All these stuffs not even $3K.... Then decide to change to BC BR coilovers and rims + tyres.......Total dmg $5.1K The car now feels totally different. Its even better than when I bought the car. Steering is very sensitive and responsive. Thumbs up for good service and restoring my car back. Now I also realise that if your car kana accident, you should bring it to a good WS to fully repair and restore the car. It can be done. You need the right equipment (they have the swedish equipment called Car-O-liner) and right people.

During an event for Spanish team sponsor Santander on Monday, it was announced that Fernando Alonso's thumbs have been insured. The bank said the Ferrari driver's life as well as his thumbs - presumably to safeguard his ability to confidently greet his fans at grands prix with positivity - have been insured to the tune of 10 million euros. More pertinently, he said he is happy with his start to the 2010 season, as he trails championship leader Jenson Button by 11 points. "I wasn't happy with things on Sunday night in Shanghai, but now, with a cool head, I can be really satisfied," said Alonso, 28, at the event near Madrid. "We didn't always gain what we could have according to our potential, but we're fighting for the title and this is what counts more than anything else," added the Spaniard, who said that in 2008 and 2009 with Renault he "knew" he would not win those titles.

Extracted from Honda Civic Forum to share below: i know got a few SE from C&C,maybe you can help to clarify? better to hear two side of the story,or everybody should give "TAN CHONG AN" a miss. "Utterly disgusted by SE@Mitsubitshi(LK) Dear forumers, just sharing with u guys what i encountered today at Leng kee's C&C showroom. Was accompanying my friend to shop for cars this afternoon, was at C&C at ard 1600hrs. As he alrdy knows what car he wanna test drove, he walked up to the counter and ask for a test drive. This SE(Tan Chong An) whom my friend engaged was one big MOFO. As we are pretty young punks perhaps he tot we ain't genuine customers, we were given the cold shoulder right from the start. After asking for my friend for his particulars to process a test drive, he practically threw us there and became oblivious to our presence. Could not even bother to pass us a brochure for our reference and he just stood there and continued to chew his gum. After waiting for abt 15mins, i went up to ask him the test drive was rdy. He told me " if u cant wait, come another day"; so i asked " how long more do we have to wait?" he said he does not know. That's still okay, only when i asked how may person is waiting infront of us, he said" we are next, so abt 15mins more..." i was like WTF, if u knew it was going to be ard 15 mins y asked me to come another day! I was so pissed by his non chalent attitude and look, so i told him whois going to bring us for a test-drive, is it u? If yes, pls refer to me to another SE as i don't want to talk to u... He was like fine, then u look for another one urself! He blatantly raised his voice at me and told me that. What's more, i started to become hot and confront him, is this the way u treat ur other customers cos as far as i know a SE shld come upfront to entertain my fren even before a test drive. He could actually tell me, "This is the way i treat my customer, i will only orientate him during the test drive if u are nt happy then fine! write in to complain lah!" What a horrid experience, such cocky and arrogant mofo who thinks that young punks cant afford a car is terribly wrong. Lotsa undergrads are actually driving now."

This morning there was a hugh jam outside my place. Car was going from bumper to bumper not helped by the 3 to 2 merging lanes. This ambulance with its siren blaring was trying to get thru the jam....but there was no place for them to give way to him.... Then this trailer driver use his common sense....he stop his vehicle on the left lane and let those on the right lane to cut into his lane (he must have let a good 5-6 cars cut into his lane) and that frees up the right lane for the ambulance to zoom thru. Thumbs up to the driver who did not selfishly claims his lane and allow the ambulance to get thru the jam faster...too bad from my apartment I can't see his number plate...if not I will sure post it here. Then come those selfish idiotic drivers who speed up to close up the gap behind the ambulance refusing to let those who has given way in the first place to be stuck.... There you have it....the beautiful and the ugly....all within seconds of each other. More of those truck drivers mentality please !!

Hi chevy owners Just got back from my 10K servicing. To be fair to the service staffs at starauto, I feel that SA customer service (Staff and technicians) are very friendly, personalized and willing to help out car owners. Sometimes, we just got to understand that problems with our cars may not be solved with the snap of our finger. It takes time to find minor problems and that most of them will really have to evolve into a bigger problem before the technicians can verify and validate it. Fellow chevy owners, next time servicing go look for Jac Phua. Service si bei ho Cheers Joe

didnt know the Ford Focus handling was so good until i test drove a Hatch today. I am really impress by the handling , especially when its all Stock. Test drove via the way to airbase, at Ubi. negotiate the bends without braking at 90+ & still firm, and not much roll. Good ! Drove a round about at 40km/h, still gripping firmly on road. I must say its very impressive

Hi, Just wanted to share my satisfaction with the service I got from Servo today..have heard that their service is good and I feel the same way after my first visit there to rep my battery. My alarm system goes auto lock when the battery is replaced and keys are agonisingly inside...Philip the boss (whom replaced the battery for me) offered me his own car for me to drive back home and take my spare key after few attempts to try opening fails. Very few workshop will offer you this and I am really pleased. This visit got my thumbs up and I'm sure it will not be my last.
