https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/4000-sign-petition-over-singapore-medical-council-ruling What do you guys think of this recent case? If doctors are to run through a series of possible side effects and risks, do you really understand? Right now, you simply has to sign a document before any procedure. Do you really read and say, no I better not go through this or you just have no other alternative. Is there a better way to address this and ensure doctors ensure they discharge their duties in the best interest of their patients.

OCTOBER 02, 2010 | {CATEGORY_NAME} Ability to Distinguish Whisky from Brandy This is the second part of a write up on a persons ability to distinguish one spirit from another. Part one was Malt vs Blended whisky and this part is brandy vs whiskey. In the first research paper it was concluded that an inexperienced whisky drinker could not distinguish between a single malt or blended scotch. Also, experienced whisky drinkers have a difficult time distinguishing the two types of scotch in a blind test. The experiment design led to some results being skewed because the experienced drinkers indicated

Man, I'm telling ya, car prices are really high these days, really really high. How high you say? Car prices are so high, President Nathan will arrive in a Vios at the next NDP Car prices are so high, SAF will scrap GP cars and give all COs a bicycle instead Car prices are so high, Geely is rebranding itself as the new Rolls Royce. Car prices are so high, showrooms will list prices as $120k instead of $120,000 to save ink. Car prices are so high, you can take a 30 years loan and pay with your CPF. Car prices are so high, a wheel nut can soon be traded as precious metal. Ok, enough of that, Let's move on.

Want to share this with forumers here: I met Master Chen sometime back, recommended by a friend who told me about Master Chen unique interest in pursuing his personal interest in Buddhism, Fengshui, Fortune Telling, etc; my friend managed to convince me to ask him to do fortune telling report for me. Previously I

I don't. But i know a friend who recently went to KL and met this indian fortune teller, who keeps some very old looking leaves. On the leaves are many tiny word carvings . The indian fortune teller then took out a leaf which purportedly belong to my friend's history and future. From it, the fortune teller actually can tell things about her, like what is her parents name, her birthdate, her personal history etc. According to the fortune teller, her future ss already written on the leaves, like her future husband will be a chinese (but she likes non-chinese men though she is chinese herself and asked the fortune teller), and what age she will marry. How can this be true ? Is it really some well plan con-job or really the leaves is so fascinating ? Now she is going back to see him again next weekend. I would like to hear your opinion. Thanks.

Rant of the day - What on earth is PML telling its customers ?
Renegade posted a topic in Conti Talk
I just bumped into another UDM owner who has never rotated her tyres because PML told her that, being rwd (some nonesense about the driving force in the rear being balanced by the weight in the front.....), they don't need to be rotated. That makes her the 3rd BMW driver I know who lives in the comfort of not having to be inconvenienced by things only fwd-stricken mere mortals need to suffer. Then there's this case where my friend's mom was told she didn't have to worry about anything except for driving and filling up petrol. "When a light appears on the dash, that means it's time to bring it in and we'll make sure it's as good as new" was what his mom was reportedly told. "No servicing worries whatsoever...." And that was after I realised she had a non-working brake light..... C'mon guys - I know BM's make good, okay, make that, great, cars and I have a very high respect for their engineering (XDrive, anyone ?), but deliberately promoting such beliefs (well, for the tyres, anyway) is just not right. And, to a certain extent, dangerous.
