Look like something taken from a sci-fi movie! 🤩 10.2" display and thickness of just 3.6 to 4.75mm when unfolded, very impressive specs indeed. Single screen: 156.7 mm (length) × 73.5 mm (width) × 12.8 mm (thickness) Dual screen: 156.7 mm (length) × 143 mm (width) × 7.45mm/4.75mm (thickness) Triple screen: 156.7 mm (length) × 219 mm (width) × 3.6mm/3.6mm/4.75mm (thickness) Weight: 238 grams If not for the sanction imposed by US, which restricts Huawei from using Google OS, Apple, Samsung, Google etc. all going to eat grass. Hahahaha But the pricing is confirm not for the mass market. 16GB + 256GB = RMB 19,999 (SGD 3,666) 16GB + 512GB = RMB 21,999 (SGD 4,032) 16GB + 1TB = RMB 23,999 (SGD4,399)

Anyone using e-ink tablet specifically for note taking? Any feedback or recommendation? I always find e-ink display easier on the eye than conventional LCD / LED screen, and having seen people taking notes on such devices during a seminar I have attended recently, I started to do some read up and is toying with the idea to get one, to better organize my physical notes. 2 models I am particularly interested are the Kindle Scribe and Boox Note Air 2 Plus. Both spotting a 10.3" screen and are priced in the $600 region, which are not cheap honestly (many choices of tablet with that kind of budget), but it may be able to improve my productivity if they serve the purpose. Kindle Scribe https://www.amazon.com/Kindle-Scribe-the-first-Kindle-for-reading-writing-journaling-and-sketching/dp/B09BS26B8B Boox Note Air 2 Plus https://shop.boox.com/products/noteair2 Primary usage of the device would be note taking and reading in pdf format, and I don't need fanciful add-ons such as speaker, mic, ability to play music or video. Please share your opinion. TIA.

https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/secondary-1-students-own-device-digital-learning-12498494 Haha the vendor/apple huat ah. Ipad obviously easiest for tablet since other tablets sure have some android or what not issue. Base laptop could be too expensive given u want something lightweight and portable for children. Or maybe a chromebook.

http://www.hardwarezone.com.sg/tech-news-xiaomi-sold-50000-units-mi-pad-china-under-four-minutes?utm_source=Xiaomi+Sold+50,000+Units+of+Mi+Pad+in+China+Under+Four+Minutes&utm_medium=widget&utm_campaign=yahootechnostorm Xiaomi's first tablet, the Mi Pad is off to a good start in China; 50,000 units were sold out in less than four minutes. To be exact, Xiaomi states a timing of three minutes and 59 seconds! It is no surprise that the tablet was an instant hit with consumers as the 16GB model is priced at 1499 yuan (approximately S$300) and the 64GB variant will cost 1699 yuan (approximately S$340). Officially announced in May, the Mi Pad runs on NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor and sports a 7.9-inch display with a resolution that matches the second generation Apple iPad Mini. Other specs of the Mi Pad include 2GB RAM, 16 or 64GB storage capacity, microSD expansion up to 128GB and a 6,700mAh battery. The Mi Pad will be available in Singapore although Xiaomi has no specific time frame or price estimate at the moment. For more information on the Mi Pad, do check out our hands-on article here. The prices for the 3 flavours of long-waited Sony Xperia Tablet Z has just been revealed by HWZ Singapore. And it is very disappointing to say the least. Sony Singapore prices with 7% GST: LTE with 16GB - S$988.00 Wifi with 32GB - S$788.00 Wifi with 16GB - S$688.00 LTE premium over wifi=S$300 or 44% Sony Australia prices: LTE with 16GB - S$826.00 Wifi with 32GB - S$790.00 Wifi with 16GB - S$656.00 LTE premium over wifi=S$170 or 26% Sony UK prices with 20% VAT: LTE with 16GB - S$957.00 Wifi with 32GB - S$861.00 Wifi with 16GB - S$765.00 LTE premium over wifi=S$192 or 25% What does the above tell you? I do not understand why the LTE version here is charged so much more than the wifi version. The LTE chipset use here cost more to make? Or the LTE version here is so much better than the wifi version thus the bigger premium? Or Sony Singapore think we are suckers that we will willingly pay whatever amount they dictate since we are LTE-siao? I have sold off my tablets in anticipation of this tablet but now I am going to give it a miss if the prices indeed hold true. I will gladly get 2 sets of Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 for myself and wife instead. Can somebody who has link with Sony Singapore bring this up with its management that we are not carrot heads? Very disgusted.

After the Jin Yong thread, I have been wanting to give try to actually read the books. I wanted something as read like a book, easy on the eyes, good contrast. Compare to Samsung tablet, is kindle really better for reading? What's your experience? Would you say a IPS tablet is good enough for reading?

i got a burning question about this. recently got a new Tab 3 tablet, and a new case that has a magnetic tab. The problem is the tablet keep going to standby erratically, no screen touch sensitivity, and just hang for whole day. Was so pissed with it, i thought i got a lemon tablet. Decided to go to Samsung Service Centre. They were kind enough to change the entire screen. Collect it back and the problem is the same. So mad, went back to service centre again. The counter service staff took a look at my tablet and my case. Asked me to try using the tablet without the case. He explained my case has magnets that may affect the device. Ok, i ever read online about this magnetic problem, where some ppl complained about the magnetic cases. Decided to go with his advice. Sure enough, the tablet works like a charm now, without the stupid case. Anyone has this problem as well? The pic of the case i was using

Hi All, Long shot but I'm just gonna try anyway since I couldn't get much info. from Google. Anyone knows of a workshop that I could custom-made (or modify) my centre-dashboard to fit a 7" tablet sitting on it? In other words, instead of using tablet mount (with wires hanging around), I would like the tablet to sit firmly on top of the dashboard at the centre.......... something like the pics here ?!! Thanks y'all.

Yesterday got this after knowing about it from another forum. Sxxxhub is offering this LTE tablet free if you sign up their MaxValue Elite plan at $51 for 12 months which is bundled with 11GB of 4G data monthly. I believe the tablet need no introduction for those interested in tablets. It is a quad-core CPU with latest spec including a detachable keyboard that double as battery. Its lesser brother TF300TG which is 3G only is being retailed at $899 currently, and you are getting it FREE with the promotion. The normal selling price of 6month old TF300TG is about $600 to $700, and you are getting a brandnew TF300TL together with 12 months of LTE data plan thrown in for just $620. You could even sell the tablet at $800 and still earn a bit with the LTE plan free for 12months! For comparison, Sxxxtel offers the same thing at $500 with 24 months of $50 subscription with 10GB of LTE data monthly. http://www.starhub.com/content/promotions/...obileelite.html For record, I have nothing to gain from this deal as I do not work for any telco. Do hurry up as there is limited stock from what I was told. Cheers.
