  1. Obviously the camera is meant for left-hand drive market, which is why the light and button is on the left of the camera. But are there are ways/mods/accessories so the driver knows if its green light is on? Asking because just discovered the green light has been blinking for so many days wihout me knowing. Luckily nothing 'exciting' happened before I realised this. For those not familiar, this is what the camera looks like:

  7. A car was found turned on its side in a drain outside a home on 103 Sunset Way around 10.30am on Tuesday morning. The black Toyota Altis seemed to have swerved off the road onto the pavement, crushing a row of shrubbery and landing on a fallen tree. No one was seen in the vehicle and no casualties were spotted. Police were on the scene to investigate. Source: http://www.straitstimes.com/breaking-news/...estate-20130813
  8. Hi all I was on a main road 4 lane and speed 60 to 70 km. Along this road there are various left turns to their respective condos. I was trailing behind this white Audi and he did not signal and jam brake at his speed of 70km then turned to his condo. Am I supposed to stop and anticipate cars turning left in front of me for every turn and every condo property? Good thing I was alert and also jam brake in time. But signalling is very impt especially you are High speed no one expect you to turn left Any feedback guys

  10. After the last software update, my iPAD turned kuku and can suddenly returned to the main screen irregardless if you are surfing the net or playing some App game. And whatever typed words will be gone if you are say typing an email or in MCF forums, What I counter this is to do a select all and copy every now and then so at least can paste back what I have painstakingly typed previously. Still a hassle though... Any bros facing this problem?
  11. i was at grand plaza park hotel yesterday near peninsula yesterday morning to pick up a friend and was shocked with what i saw.... the area immediately outside peninsula shopping centre was absolutely covered in rubbish of all sorts..... from plastic wrappers to unfinished food to beer bottles. worse was the capitol car park.... every square inch was covered in garbage as far as the eye can see... i thought it had been turned into a garbage collection centre... you couldn't walk past it. my friend told me the area is a myanmar ft hangout at weekends. it really reminded me of slums of some 3rd world country.
  12. Attacker grabbed my GF after turning off lights at Parklane toilet STOMPer Robin's girlfriend was attacked in a toilet near a cyber cafe at Parklane Shopping Mall at about 1.35am on Nov 29. The attacker reportedly turned off the toilet lights and tried to grab his girlfriend's legs after forcing open the cubicle door. The person ran off after the STOMPer's girlfriend screamed and kicked the attacker. The cyber cafe was the same one where a fight broke out between teenage gamers last month. Robin relates the incident: "I wish to share this story with the rest so that it acts as a deterrence or preventive measure for future incidents. "On Sunday night (Nov 28), I was with my girlfriend and some other friends at a LAN shop called Aquarius, the same LAN shop where some gamers were involved in a fight after a gaming session. "We were playing DOTA from 9pm onwards till about 1.35am, when the incident happened in the ladies toilet on the same floor. "At about 1.35am, my girlfriend told me she was going to the toilet, and she has been going to the toilet alone most of the time before this incident happened. "About 3 minutes later, my girlfriend called my handphone and was crying over the phone. "Sensing that something terrible must have happened, I rushed over to the toilet and saw her crying at the entrance of the female toilet, where the lights were off. "She quickly told me that someone had switched off the toilet lights and tried to grab her legs after kicking open her toilet cubicle door. "She told me she started kicking and screaming and tried her best to shut the door back by kicking furiously at the attacker. "The attacker tried to further assault her by lunging forward to grab her by her hips but was kicked away and the door was shut. The attacker then ran away. "The response was to get hold of security and to ask for video recordings of the webcam that was planted near the entrance of the toilet. "The security personnel resisted and said they would only release the footage after a police report had been made. "About 20 minutes later, the police arrived to take our statements and carried out their 'usual' investigation procedures. "After the whole process of taking down statements etc, we were advised to contact an officer who was in charge of the the investigation. "Two days later, I called up this in officer-in-charge, only to find out that he was on medical leave, and I was asked to contact him the next following day. "My best guess of the next progression of the case is that they couldn't get good footage of the culprit, and the case will therefore drag and nothing will come to light. "Some of my concerns: is Singapore really safe enough?"

  16. I was at PIE towards Tuas this afternoon, started hogged by a car in the 1st lane at 80km/hr after Chantek flyover till the left bend before Ngee Ann Poly. The 2nd lane was without vehicle and I signal left and filtered out while accelerating, overtook this car at lane 1 with about 3 car lengths ahead (at Anak Bukit flyover). I didn't signal my intention to return back to lane 1 as normally road hoggers would not be bothered too much. This car, suddenly from hogger turn tailgater and racer. Follow me closely. Trying to overtake me. I wasn't too bothered when he overtook me from 2nd lane and back to the 1st lane....than less than a split second, he went back to 2nd lane. I was between 100-110 all the while. When I pass him. This guy was like mid 40s to early 50s, had a female passenger in the front seat around the same age. I was thinking why so, childish? Want to drive fast then drive all the way lah. Sudden burst of speed to show what? He was like back to 80km/hr on lane 2 when I exit at Toh Guan. What was he trying to show me? He actually know how to overtake and his car can 'chiek' mine too? or he was pissed because I overtook him from the left and I don't signal while he was hogging on lane 1? My reason: I was at Turf City proceeded to Bedok to send off my colleague's mum last journey, then when the casket was loaded, I headed back to Bt Batok for another customer. The schedule was tight, but still manageable. I wasn't speeding excessively. Sometimes these jokers really
  17. SIGLAP ( SI-GLAP ) SI MEANS "die" IN HOKKIEN. My heart pains that this police car got to be considered as Bad Debt. RIP. Police car overturned at Siglap Tue, Oct 28, 2008 AsiaOne A police car crashed into some railing, damaged a bus stop, and flipped onto the fences of two houses on Monday. As reported by Shin Min Daily, the accident happened at about 5pm at Frankel Avenue in the Siglap area. It was drizzling, and the driver lost control as he was cruising towards Changi road. The supports on one side of the bus stop were knocked out, as was one of the bus stop seats. Parts of the railing ended up in the ditch. The hood of the police car was totally smashed on the pavement, while the boot was balanced on the fence of one of the houses behind the bus stop. Part of the low wall surrounding the neighbouring house was also destroyed. Shattered glass from the windscreen and some parts of the car were scattered on the pavement as well. Fortunately no passerbys were injured. The driver, a policeman from Bedok Police Post, suffered mild injuries to his head and arm. He was not patrolling when the accident happened. From the extent of the damage it appears that the car was travelling at high speed when it skidded. Police are investigating the incident and urge any eye witnesses to call 1800-5471818 to contact the investigating personnel.
