Oh no! With another day in Singapore, yet another unfortunate traffic incident... This time, taking place at this West Coast junction. From here, we see a police car parked behind the trailer that is lying helplessly on its side as the surrounding traffic mills past, keeping a wide berth away from the accident area, cordoned off by orange cones. 291181420_1089185911999828_7590787707057688719_n.mp4 The trailer cuts a rather lonely, hulking silhouette with the space around it. Seemingly due to the violent impact of the crash, some fuel or engine fluids had spilled out from the upper part of the trailer: Already messy, it would be rather dangerous if these flammable liquids got spread further out onto the road or made contact with other vehicles. Thank goodness the area was bordered off. There were no ambulances sighted at the scene. We can only conclude that the driver either did not suffer serious injuries, or was already carted off to the nearest hospital by then. How could such an accident have happened? Was there a root cause? Some speculative comments left by netizens shed some insight onto the situation: This statement was corroborated by another person's comment: It seem like this sentiment of speeding is shared by, and agreed upon, by many! Another school of thought was presented by another commentator: Pot holes and roads at an uneven angle are huge causes for freak accidents like this one. It make sense, but seeing as many of us were not there, it is hard to objectively conclude the actual reason for the trailer flipping. As far as we can see, there are no visible potholes in the video... but perhaps their presence is only something that is known by those who frequent this road or area. We hope that the driver involved was not injured too badly. In the meantime, always stay safe and vigilant on the roads, readers! ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. An unfortunate accident has occurred in the early afternoon of April 1st, 2022 (not an April Fool's Day joke) involving an oversized trailer. Watch the aftermath of the accident here: What Happened? An oversized trailer was reported to have fallen off an upper flyover along West Coast Highway. It was left overturned and engulfed in flames, emitting thick smoke. West Coast Highway Flyover has been closed off as traffic is impassable due to scattered debris and a fallen lamp post obstructing traffic flow. It is unclear how many casualties were involved in the accident and what caused the trailer to lose control and fall from a height. The Accident From Other Angles Massive jams have piled up around the area of the accident. *This article will be updated accordingly as the story develops.* *Update - 1 April 2022, 1735h* The driver, a 68-year-old man was reportedly injured and was conscious when conveyed to the hospital. Police investigations are ongoing. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Join us today!

A driver who seems to have underestimated the size of his package has gotten himself stuck under an overhead bridge along the West Coast Highway. Published on SG Road Vigilante, the accident happened last night (9 June 2020), causing traffic heading towards Pasir Panjang some inconvenience at the junction of West Coast Highway and Alexandra Road. Judging from the photos shared online, we can't be sure whose fault it was. It could be the transporter's/driver's fault or the escort service's fault (if there were hired in the first place). We hope the bridge remains open and unhurt! Check out what netizens have to say!

“She is more powerful than any character we’ve introduced thus far,” Feige told EW. “So that alone tells you that there’s a reason Nick hit that button at the end [of Infinity War], when he realized that they were up against something far bigger than they had ever been up against before. And having her on your side is hopefully going to change the balance of power in a way that they desperately need.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1BCujX3pw8 Captain Marvel launches on March 8, 2019, the fourth Avengers movie on May 3, 2019, and Spider-Man: Far From Home on July 5, 2019.

hi guys, Does anyone know how and where to get a trailer in SIngapore? I know that it exists and the off road bikers use it to go into malaysia. I once saw a land rover pulling a covered one on the road. Any one knows has experience in this or knows who has experience? I drive a Mit triton and this truck 1000% can be used for towing ( triton owners overseas do a lot of towing). I have access to private parking, so parking the trailer is not an issue. anyhelp will be appreciated. Cheers! Russ

I witnessed this accident right in front of my eyes while standing at my office window. The Trailer rammed into the back of the dark blue Mitsubishi Lancer and pushed it for a good 10m into the first lane. Can't tell if it was a lane-switch mistake. See pics.

Walmart revealed earlier Sunday afternoon (Feb 17, 2014) its WAVE Concept semi trailer. WAVE stands for Walmart Advanced Vehicle Experience and introduces the concept of a fuel efficient next generation semi-trailer that may in fact power the flow of goods and services for Walmart products and possibly the rest of the United States flow of commerce. The WAVE concept is the latest of Walmart fleet efficiency program. With over 7000 trucks, Walmart's fleet of vehicles provides a large opportunity to increase fuel efficiency across the board and set an example for the rest of the big box stores. First of all, the Wave concept truck has an advanced, one of a kind, set of aerodynamics that sets it apart from any semi-trailer on the road today. With its hybrid powertrain entirely underneath the cab, the front end design isn't dictated by a large internal combustion engine. The cab itself sits atop its powertrain and offers a sleek wind tunnel designed front drivers window that offers a commanding view of the road. The entire cab is tapered to blend into the trailer itself, which at fifty-three feet long, is entirely made out of carbon fibre paneling (an industry first). All this carbon fibre saves around two whole tons, which can go towards hauling more goods and services. Powering this technological tour-de-force is a Capstone Turbine engine coupled to an electrical powertrain. Capstone Turbines is a California based gas turbine manufacturer that specializes in microturbine power along with heating and cooling cogeneration systems. Key to the Capstone design is its use of foil bearings, which provides maintenance and fluid-free operation for the lifetime of the turbine and reduces the system to a single moving part. This also eliminates the need for any cooling or other secondary systems.Their light weight, small size, and quick starting time make them ideal as "instant-on" backup power to recharge the main batteries. An example of a hybrid vehicle is the Capstone CTM-380, with a 30 kW gas turbine generator running on diesel, that recharges Li-Poly batteries when necessary. The CMT-380 has a proposed range of 80 miles on battery alone, but when combined with the micro turbine that range is pushed to over 500+ miles. With just a video announcement being the first the public has heard about this project, we’re all ears as to what Wal-Mart will do with such a revolutionary design. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvt7ptICxSY

In yet another worksite accident, a 600-tonne crane slid off a trailer on Wednesday afternoon at Kallang, where the new National Stadium is being built. The Straits Times understands that the mishap took place at about 5pm, after the crane had been dismantled and was being transported on a trailer. Some of the sub-contractors at the site witnessed the event and sent back photos to their employer, who posted them on citizen journalism website Stomp. The employer, who only wanted to be known as Ray, said that the crane was one of three which had been installing a roof structure at the site. The 42-year-old believes that the crane could have slid off because its swing table was not locked, allowing the crane body to swing off balance when it was being moved. A spokesman for the Manpower Ministry (MOM) said that the ministry has been "informed of the incident" and is "looking into it". The Straits Times understands that no one was injured. Just now at 11.30am saw a trailer truck transporting some long and bulky construction materials making a left turn from Sengkang East Ave to Sengkang East Drive towards Upper Serangoon Rd/KPE when everything came crashing down onto the grass patch, damaging the roadside kerb. think the items were not secured properly! TP and crane now at the scene. lucky never hit any people or passing vechicles. that area now got a lot of constructions going on

Coming in July. Although Marvel have done a better job with their movies, my favourite superhero movie in recent times is still the grouchy (and now past his prime) Batman

hi i captured on my car video on a truck pulling a trailer that speeds up & beat a redlight in sengkang on a 2 lane neighbourhood small road. How i know it speed up.. Well i was travelling ahead of the truck beside it at maybe 50 or 60km/hr n the truck was in full view on my rear mirror so i guess that like 20m ahead, then when i approached the redlight i came to a complete stop & after maybe 1 second the truck zoom past my car on full speed beating the redlight that was already red for maybe 2 seconds or so. Confirmed if there is any vehicle that travels pass sure die even if also a big truck. Asfter the light turn green, i drove off n the same truck was at the next redlight n my car recoder managed to take him in full view. Now the question is whether i shld submit this video to the authority? My wife feels that what if i submit & the person loses his licence hence his job? What do u guys think?
