Hi guys, Need your advice. I've just got my Protege in Jan. and using Liberty Insurance with comprehensive coverage. Tonite, while driving along Yio Chu Kang Road (cross the street from the MRT station, along the Sec. school), there were many cars infront of me and we all had to jam brake for the traffic light. A Corolla rammed into the rear right of my car while trying to turn into the right lane to avoid a full collison. The right rear side of my bumper is dented in together with my exhaust. I think the boot is oso stucked by the impact. Since this is my first time having an accident, I will need your advice as to what I should do. I've called up Liberty insurance and had arranged for a tow truck to tow it to IDAC. Tomorrow, I will go down together with the other party to file a claim. I will be claiming third party insurance against them, so what approach should I do it? I will need to send my car back to Mazda for repair right? If that's the case, will I need to claim against my own insurance first? Then claim third party against them (They are using NTUC)? Or should I just go ahead and claim third party? I've heard that Mazda doesn't process third party for us? What should I do? I want to do it correctly. I am not sure what else was damaged in the process... If so, can I claim it to my satisfactory? Thanks.
