These companies are staking out new territory, competing against established brands in the EV sector. Luvly — a Swedish firm — is one of them. The car manufacturer wants to stand out for its emission-free tiny cars… and for its peculiar delivery system, which has already caused a commotion. With the aim of reducing costs, Luvly has created a system very similar to that of its compatriot, Ikea: the cars are manufactured in pieces before being sent to their destination. This means that shipments can be used much more economically, to the point that, in a container with a capacity for four cars, it’s possible to fit the parts needed for 20 Luvly vehicles. Of course, contrary to what happens with furniture, it won’t be the buyer who is in charge of assembling it. The company will have different regional factories that will be in charge of the assembly. This methodology will apply to all of Luvly’s models, of which several are already planned, such as a three-wheeled sports car, or a small van. But, for the moment, only the first model — Luvly 0 — has seen the light of day. This vehicle is specifically meant for urban use. It’s a very small car that has been designed to move around agilely in the city, occupy a minimal amount of space, consume little energy and, at the same time, maximize the interior. The result is a model with a minimalist design, with a broad windshield and a straight-cut at the rear. The optical groups are very discreet, while the wheels — each one with its own fender — are placed at the four ends of the body. The Luvly 0 car only measures nine feet in length, five feet in width and 4.7 feet in height. These dimensions allow it to be a really light vehicle that only weighs 840 pounds. And, while it’s a two-seater model, it also has a good-sized trunk. Given its urban character, the car’s mechanical section does the job, taking into account its objectives. The brand doesn’t highlight its power, but it can reach speeds of up to 55 miles per hour. One of the strengths of the Luvly is that it has a 6.4 kilowatt battery. It’s divided into two removable modules — each weighing 33 pounds — so it’s possible to charge it at home. In addition, since its energy consumption is very low, a single charge can take it as far as 60 miles. The brand already allows you to sign up on its website to place orders, with a starting price of €10,000 ($11,000).

I am so going to open one x interesting thread every month. So my interesting thread of the month is this! But need to put some disclaimers, due to this is a public forum and also we have a group of female members, please be tactful and refrain yourself from posting anything that is offensive arh. Let's just make this a positive and interesting topic. So. . . As the title goes, what is your favorite style of massage? Thai Massage? Oil Massage? Swedish Massage? Shiatsu Massage? Reflexology? Hot Stone Massage? Osim Massage Chair?(haha) My own personal take is i kinda like oil massage and reflexology. Oil massge is the oil fragrance and i like the no friction kneading. Reflexology is because i like how it feels after the foot massage. My feet seems very very light! I never tried hot stone before thou. hahah.

Koenigsegg Agera One:1 World’s Fastest Supercar Secrets Revealed [Video] Koenigsegg Agera One:1 is the latest hypercar that is coming from the stable of one of the world’s best supercar makers. It develops 1340 (1360 PS) Bhp of power and will be built in a limited units totalling 6 and all of them are sold already! The new car from Koenigsegg has achieved a dream power to weight ratio of 1 Horsepower per Kg of weight and has been homologated to as the world’s first production car that produces a full MegaWatt of power and hence it has been called a Megacar ever since. The supercar is a result of a demand for such a car from a Chinese distributor who had 4 customers who wished to buy a Koenigsegg track car. Christian von Koenigsegg is the owner of this company and as you will see on the video he goes into the details of the R&D process and gives away some of the secrets behind building this supercar. He goes details such as the sophisticated suspension and weight saving tactics amongst other useful information about this car. The prototype weights around 1360 kgs but according to Koenigsegg the production cars will have a weight of around 1330 to 1340 kgs. This is remarkable considering the fact that the Agera One:1 will come with a fully functional air conditioning, stereo music system, central locking, ESP, ABS, Power windows and yet they have found a way to make it lighter and faster. The Agera One:1 will have a Le-Mans inspired active wing that will produce downforce of over 600 kgs. It will have larger air vents for cooling, active undertrim air management systems, a roof mounted air scoop, exhaust system built out of titanium, a triplex suspension system that now brings carbon bevel springs with active shock absorbers for ride height adjustment. The engine will be a 5.0 litre V8 from the Agera R supercar but it is modified to produce a lot more power. Of the 6 units that will be produced, 4 will go to China and 2 will be sent to the 2 British customers. The R&D unit will remain at the Koenigsegg factory as the only unit that will not be sold. wow impressive one kg one hp! 0-400 in 20 seconds more impressive the china bought 4 out of 6 world production!

This is how you're supposed to appreciate the Volvo XC60, as an art

The Volvo XC60 is one good alternative to take into consideration when it comes to buying an SUV. It's an exclusive crossover SUV that comes with city safety measures to guarantee your family's safety. However, it seems that the Volvo XC60 is not all about commuting. You can see that if you go to Zurich, Switzerland central station where the Swedish automaker has set up its art display. The locals recognise the art display as the Volvo Art Session and it has been around for the past few years. Here, Volvo has chosen highly talented artists, some of whom are skilled veterans while some others are newcomers, to present creative exhibits including a Volvo as the central point of the art. In this year alone, the Swedish automaker has chosen no less than six artists from across the European continent. This year, their task is to transform the Volvo XC60 into a creative work of art. It's unfortunate, though, I have to say, as the work of art won't last for long. This happens because the work of one artist will have to be erased so that the next artist can present his work and so on and so forth. Trying to be creative at one of the busiest places in Europe, some of the artists can't help but to make the Volvo XC60 a focal point in their creative art presentations. However, some others seem to be more creative - at least so I think - by making the car almost completely unnoticeable. -
There's no doubt that Swedish automaker Koenigsegg knows how to make some of the world's fastest production cars that ever exists. The company even makes sure that the twin-turbo 5.0-litre V8 engine of its production cars will run on E85 fuel. However, unfortunately, some places in this world just aren't quite ready for such fuel yet, just like in Singapore. So, keeping that in mind, it seems that despite the total power output of 927bhp offered by the Agera or 1,124bhp offered by the Agera R, neither of the models is really quite of our interest here in Singapore. That's not to mention the highly demanding price tag of the super car. However, realising that, Koenigsegg has finally produced the Agera S. Unlike its elder brothers, the Koenigsegg Agera S doesn't need ethanol to be mixed into its fuel. It'll run just fine with the fuel we already have here. In addition to that, this fine super car is quite powerful as well, offering the power of up to 1,040 horses. With all the advantages that it has, the Koenigsegg Agera S comes with a demanding price tag of around USD$4.2 million (approximately S$5.3 million). Yet, despite the price tag, the fourth example in the world has already met its new owner, who is a Singaporean. Yes, Koenigsegg recently introduced the Agera S here, at a special reception which was attended even by the founder of Koenigsegg Automotive AB himself, Mr. Christian von Koenigsegg. The reception took place at the Hotel Ritz Carlton Millenia on 14th June 2013. As it was private, the reception was only open to 200 VIPs and guests. The lucky person to have the fastest production car on our shores happened to be Ms. Angela Tan, wife of Mr. Denis Chua, an investor. According to Mr. Chua, he and his wife bought the car after having test-driven it personally in Sweden. Hand-crafted by Swedish skilled artisans with enhanced aerodynamics in mind, the Swedish luxury super car can go from 0-100km/h within a mere 2.9 seconds. In addition to that, the car will stop climbing speed only after it has reached a speed of at least 400km/h. How does that sound? The Koenigsegg Agera S super car was introduced to us here by the Motorway Group of Companies. This is a rental car company that also serves as a pre-owned luxury car specialist. When you have what it takes (and by that, I mean the money), there's no need to worry whether or not you will get what you want, even from such a world class automaker as Koenigsegg. At least, this is what happens in China. The Swedish automaker has built a stunning gold-plated Koenigsegg Agera R, and gives it the name Zijin, most likely specifically by request. The car seems to suit its name really well. It's painted with brilliant purple on the outside - a one-off finish which will really catch your eyes - and features gold on the inside. Just for your information, 'Zijin' is a Chinese word meaning 'purple gold'. However, don't be mistaken as not the entire interior is made of gold. The interior components that are gold plated include the centre console, air vent surrounds, steering wheel trim, and also a wide array of knobs and buttons. Well, to be honest with you, even if I had the money, there's no way I would have decorated my hypercar with the precious metal, although the metal did make the car look nice somehow. One problem I would be worried about is the added weight of the vehicle. Nevertheless, this doesn't seem to be a problem whatsoever in this case. To overcome the weight problem of this particularly made-for-Chinese car, Koenigsegg has decided to make use of its 5.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine which is capable of delivering 1040bhp. Just because major portions of the German Autobahn have no speed limit doesn't mean you can drive as fast as you want anywhere in Europe. Where there are posted restrictions, most European countries take speeding very seriously and levy hefty fines. The latest case in point is a 37-year-old Swedish man who was clocked at 180 miles per hour on a motorway between Bern and Lausanne in Switzerland. Unfortunately for this driver of a new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, Switzerland doesn't have fixed fines for speeding. Instead they use a formula similar to that in Finland where the fine is calculated based on the vehicle's speed and the driver's income. Back in 2002, Nokia executive Anssi Vanjoki had to pay a fine of $103,600 for going 47 mph in a 31 mph zone. In this latest incident, the driver faces a penalty of just over $1 million for traveling at the highest speed ever recorded on a public road in Switzerland. Apparently the SLS escaped being clocked by several older cameras that are limited to 125 mph before finally being recorded by a new camera with a higher radar speed range. His excuse: The speedometer was faulty. As far as we know, this is the most expensive speeding ticket ever issued, though there are reports of a kid who last April was caught speeding in his dad's Bugatti Veyron, the punishment for which was permanent seizure of the vehicle.
