Just want to check have anyone of you make any successful claim to Jetcover before? it is a travel insurance policy. early this month i have tried to make a claim due to the flight delay of about 8 hours . after sending the document which they require, one week later, i received a email reply asking for the same document again, i tried again to resend it with attachment and include my HP no. for her to call me, another week past, i receive the same reply again.. the frustration is they do not leave any tel no. for me to call back and ask.... and when i tried to contact the insurance claim no. from the website, the insurance claim that they are from different department, and when i asking for the telephone no. for the relevant claim department, their reply are they do not know the no??? week after week, how can we expect much from this in-house insurance company when they can't even have a proper customer office who can handle all these enquires when customer having problem. Today learnt something new. All along I only understand that when we sign the purchase form to get a new car, that price is locked. Car dealer can only ask customer to top-up when COE got too high, and it is before any subsequent bidding. But what Harvest Auto did for some of its customers really baffled me: Below taken from VSGSG forum under Skoda (http://www.vagsg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41917&page=13): VRS customers who secured at $108k were told to top up $10k, AFTER COE was secured. This is against normal practice, but as usual, T&Cs well covered. Choice was given to take back deposit and COE. I am sure it left a very bitter aftertaste on many of its customers. I will be very wary if I have to deal with them in future. What do you think?

Hi guys, My recent endeavour to bring in an installer from the UK to install Comand on my W204 has worked with great success! He will be returning for another trip in 3-4 weeks because of the superb demand/response Ill post up pics later of my retrofitted comand. Its exactly the same as factory fit without the 14k tag Super happy now And not only me, the other 4 bros who all installed are very happy now too!

CNA Report : Indonesia police say 10 held over terror bomb plot JAKARTA - Indonesian police said Thursday they had cracked a terrorist cell linked to some of the region's most wanted fugitives after the arrest of 10 suspects with a cache of powerful homemade bombs. Police said the cell was connected to Malaysian extremist Noordin Mohammad Top, a hardline leader of the Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) Islamist group who is wanted for allegedly masterminding the 2002 Bali attacks. One of them was a bombmaker who reportedly met Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and is associated with Mas Selamat bin Kastari, the suspected leader of JI's Singapore branch who escaped from prison there on February 27. They were arrested earlier this week in Palembang, the capital of South Sumatra province, where US and Australian-trained anti-terror police also found a cache of more than 20 bombs hidden in the attic of a rented house. "In Palembang we have arrested members of a terrorist network who were detained by Special Detachment 88," police spokesman Abu Bakar Nataprawira told reporters, referring to the anti-terror squad. Police did not confirm that the bomb expert linked to Mas Selamat was a Singaporean, but the government in the city state said one of its citizens was among the group rounded up in Sumatra. The Kompas daily said the suspect, identified by police only as MH, 35, had met Osama several times and had received training in Afghanistan. He is said to have been a student of JI bombmaker Azahari Husin, who was killed in 2005. "The suspect gave training in assembling bombs to people in Palembang related to terrorist acts in Indonesia," Nataprawira said, adding that he was arrested on Saturday. The arrest of MH led to the detention of nine other suspects in Palembang and the raid on the house on Tuesday, where police discovered the bombs cache. Seven powerful "tupperware bombs" and 20 smaller pipe bombs were found in the attic of the rented house, along with bomb-making chemicals and weapons. Sixteen of the bombs were reportedly primed to explode. Indonesian media reports have identified the Singaporean as Abu Hazam, who is also known as Omar. Abu Hazam was arrested last Saturday in the Sumatran village of Sekayu. This Singaporean had been revealed as Mohd Hassan Saynudin in today, The New Paper. An 80 year old lady was being interviewed by the local news station because she had just gotten married - for the fourth time. The interviewer asked her questions about her life, about what it felt like to be marrying again at 80, and then about her new husband's occupation. "He's a funeral director," she answered. Then he moved off n i followed behind him, later which my cashcard console produce long beeps which is not the usual.And I saw the console screen didnt show the amount. I checked, and i realised that my cashcard wasnt inserted fully into the console after going thru the gantry :( bad luck!!!! suayyy!!! must be when i top up the cashcard didnt push in fully... My question to all bros is anyone here appeal for ERP fines and successful? I just appeal successfully for carpark fines last month.. Heard from frens like that means i used up my first timer 'quota' liao. Is that true? I dun mind pay the fine but its not i delibrately dun want to pay for the ERP mah... suay..

By Lim Sin Leng 24 July 2006 Fancy fuel efficieny of 28km/l* in a hefty 1740kg petrol-powered vehicle? Is this another fuel-saving gimmick? Definitely not. The amazing result is possible thanks to a vehicle running on natural gas. In comparison, official fuel efficieny figures for Toyota Prius are 22.2km/l. In the pursuit of a cleaner environment as endorsed by our Government, Scantruck Engineering did a gas conversion on a petrol engine vehicle to prove how current private car owners can help realise that target. In this instance, a Mercedes Benz Vito 113 was chosen, courtesy of Mr Lim Sin Leng who was more than happy to take part in this quest. According to National Environment Agency (NEA), this is the first petrol and natural gas Bi-Fuel conversion here. A well tested and proven gas conversion kit was carefully selected with the help of NEA. The kit comprises of a multiple sequential injector module, dedicated ECU with spark advancer, regulator and a 60L gas tank. All parts are certified and approved by LTA, hence existing insurance coverage is still valid. The beauty of this package is the laptop tunable ECU where one can tune the performance to the max on a rolling chassis. Mr Lim is paying $10.50* for a tank full of gas. That is enough to cover a distance of between 160km and 180km* depending on traffic conditions and the journey he travels. In petrol mode, he would have had to pay up to $28 to travel the same distance. Slight power loss was noticed in gas mode. However, a switch mounted on the dashboard permits you to choose between gas and petrol if you want more power. For the sake of a clean environment and with cost savings of up to 60%, who would complain? The benefit of the gas kit is that it can be retrofitted in almost all petrol engine cars. Starting from the most basic set up, i.e. regulator and mixer package (in the region of $2,498 parts and labour inclusive) to a top-of-the-line sequential injection with ECU combination. The choice is yours. The investment can be recovered in slightly over a year. However, there is one drawback, i.e. current cars still under warranty may have their warranty void. In view of this, Scantruck Engineering is in talk with major car distributors to work out this matter. For the time being, there is only one refilling station which is located in Jurong Island. 3 more on the main island will be up and running by this year end as planned by NEA. Until then, those who work in Jurong Island should have all the reasons to convert their petrol engined vehicles into Bi-Fuel since the refilling station (operated by Sembawang Gas) is practically at their door step. So, existing car owners, wait no further. Let's go green, go Bi-Fuel! *NB, assume covering 180km with $10.50 worth of 95 Octane petrol at $1.65/l. That works out to be 28km/l.
