Hi all I am new to Audi A5 sportback 2.0A TFSI S-tronic design and is presently looking at a MARCH 2019 model at 150K. 6000KM now. current ride is a F10 2012, thinking of moving on bros any advice on 1. what to expect switching over to AUDI , expectations 2. it claims 188BHP for this AWD or FWD? what the highest torque at what RPM 3. front passenger seat - any memory ? 4. screen size 9"? touch screen? 5. its cabin noise and ride quality 6. best rim size 20? 7. tune up to 250BHP possible -by who / where can i go? 8. finally any nuance to expect from owning A5 sportsback? thanks thanks.

  3. This is NOT the standard Q3, but the BMW X2 rival, a coupe style SUV. Audi is adding a compact SUV in coupé shape to its model range: the Audi Q3 Sportback. The new model combines the strong presence and versatile everyday convenience of an SUV with the sporty elegance and agile handling of a coupé. This makes it the first compact crossover of the Audi brand. Low roofline, muscular body: the design The Audi Q3 Sportback stands for strength and precision to an equal degree, and reflects this in all design details. The black grille of the octagonal Singleframe is strongly three-dimensional in design, and this makes it particularly sporty. The same applies for the trapezoidal air inlets and the expressive bumper with its flat blade. The coupé-like passenger cabin acts as a contrast to the distinctive attachments, which are painted in contrasting colors and thus emphasize the SUV character. The low roofline gives way to flat D-pillars and ends in a roof edge spoiler. As a result, the Audi Q3 Sportback appears much longer than its sister model Q3. In addition, the SUV-coupé is almost three centimeters flatter, and thus has a more muscular appearance. Above the wheels, strong contours draw attention to the quattro drive, which comes as standard with most engines. Many light and shadow effects arise on the plastic-formed rear. The low window, flanked by aero trims, and the sporty bumper, which takes up the look of the air inlets, emphasize the width of the Audi Q3 Sportback. The reversing lights contribute to this as well: they run inwards in a tapered shape, just like the flat headlights. Audi supplies the latter in three versions up to Matrix LED technology, whose adaptive high beam intelligently illuminates the road as best suits the driving situation. Sporty on and off the road: the suspension The Audi Q3 Sportback offers driving fun on various terrains. In the city, on long-haul routes, or on easy terrain - the compact crossover is a dynamic all-rounder. It features progressive steering as standard, whose gear ratio becomes increasingly direct as the steering angle increases, and the sport suspension. On request, the suspension is available with damper control, which further increases the range between dynamism and comfort. Depending on the driving situation, road condition, and personal preferences, the driver can vary the car's characteristics via the standard dynamic handling system, Audi drive select, in six profiles, including the offroad mode. In addition to the engine and transmission set-up, this system also influences the electronically adjustable shock absorbers and the steering assistance. As an option, the hill descent control can offer support: it keeps the speed selected by the driver constant on an incline greater than 6%. TFSI, TDI, S tronic, quattro: the drive For the market launch in Europe, a gasoline and a diesel engine are available for selection for the Audi Q3 Sportback. With 169 kW (230 metric hp), the 2.0 TFSI is the most powerful engine. The 2.0 TDI has an output of 110 kW (150 metric hp). Shortly after market launch, it will also be available as a manual transmission with a quattro drive. Additional engines will follow in the course of the year, including a more powerful diesel and an entry-level gasoline engine, which works together with a 48 V mild-hybrid system. During deceleration, it recovers energy; during acceleration from low speeds, it supports the engine. In real-life driving, it can save up to 0.4 l of fuel per 100 km (62.1 mi). In the top engines, the quattro all-wheel drive takes on the job of force transmission as standard. Its central component is a hydraulic multi-plate clutch on the rear axle. Its electronic management combines outstanding stability and strong traction with a high level of driving enjoyment. At the limits of performance, the quattro drive works closely together with the wheel-selective torque control, It makes handling even more dynamic and stable by means of gentle brake interventions on the inside wheels with the quattro drive and the inside front wheel with the front drive. Variable comfort: Interior and space concept The Audi Q3 Sportback is 4.50 m (14.8 ft) long, 1.84 m (6.0 ft) wide and 1.56 m (5.1 ft) high; its wheelbase measures 2.68 m (8.8 ft). This results in a large and highly variable interior. The rear seats offer space for three people. They can be moved 130 mm (5.1 in) longitudinally as standard; their backrests are divided into three sections, and their inclination can be adjusted in seven stages. The volume of the luggage compartment ranges from 530 l (18.7 cu ft) to 1,400 l (49.4 cu ft). The loading floor can be adjusted to two levels, and the rear shelf is located beneath it. As an option, Audi will deliver an electric tailgate that can also be opened and closed with a foot motion. The front seats - electrically adjustable and heated on request - offer a sporty position and a high level of comfort. Depending on the equipment, there are sport seats with contrasting stitching and colored stripes along the side panels. In addition, Alcantara surfaces on the instrument panel and the armrests emphasize the progressive design philosophy. In the dark, the optional contour/ambient lighting package sets lighting accents with its 30 selectable colors. Digital world: Displays and operation The operating and display concept proves how Audi is pushing ahead with digitalization: Even the basic equipment includes a digital instrument cluster with a 10.25-inch screen diagonal, which the driver operates using the multifunction steering wheel. In the top-of-the-line system, MMI navigation plus, the displays appear in the Audi virtual cockpit, which offers many additional functions. A touch display measuring 10.1 inches is positioned in the center of the instrument panel. When a function is selected, it emits acoustic feedback. Just like in the brand's full-size class models, it is surrounded by wide, high-gloss black trim. Together with the air-conditioning control unit located beneath it, the display is ergonomically tilted 10° towards the driver. On request, the 12.3-inch Audi virtual cockpit plus is available with three selectable layouts, including a particularly dynamic view. The flat menu structure is complemented by a control unit that uses natural language and can also understand free wordings. Entering a navigation destination and the MMI search are based on free text input. The system recognizes the driver's most frequent destinations based on previous journeys, allowing it to generate suitable suggestions. When doing so, it takes into consideration statistical empirical values regarding the traffic load and time of day. Comprehensive networking: Infotainment and Audi connect Together with MMI navigation plus, the online services of Audi connect are made available on board at LTE Advanced speed via a permanently installed SIM card. This includes, for example, online traffic information and the online points of interest service, which complements route guidance with photos, opening hours, and user evaluations. Thanks to the inter-connectivity of the Audi fleet, the Q3 Sportback receives and provides information about parking spaces on the roadside, hazard areas, and speed limits, which are detected via the on-board camera and vehicle sensors. Traffic light information is a new feature among the Car-to-X services. The car receives data from a city's traffic computer, as a result of which the driver receives information about traffic light phases in the Audi virtual cockpit. This allows drivers to adjust their speed pre-emptively, which increases efficiency and improves traffic flow. This offering is initially available in individual European cities and will be gradually extended depending on the infrastructure in the urban area. Another new feature is the cloud-based Amazon voice service Alexa, which streams music and audio books and also offers access to more than 80,000 Alexa Skills. Navigation with Google Earth™ and the hybrid radio, which automatically switches between FM, DAB and online streaming depending on the reception conditions, also form part of the Audi connect navigation & infotainment plus package. The voice control system uses the detailed knowledge in the cloud to answer the driver's questions and commands. The free myAudi App and the Audi smartphone interface ensure interconnectivity between the car and smartphone. This integrates Android and iOS cell phones into the on-board infotainment system. The content of the smartphone is shown in the MMI display via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, and no cables are required if the top infotainment system is used with an iPhone. The Audi phone box and the Bang & Olufsen Premium Sound System with virtual 3D sound round off this comprehensive offer. Outstanding in any situation: the assist systems In the Audi Q3 Sportback, four standard systems are used for safety. These include the lane departure warning and the lane change warning. While the former helps the driver to remain in the lane, the latter points out critical situations when changing lanes, such as if there is a vehicle in the blind spot. The series scope in Germany also includes Audi pre sense front. If a head-on collision is imminent, it outputs a visual, acoustic, and haptic warning to the driver. In an emergency, it causes full braking and initiates the Audi pre sense basic safety measures. This involves tightening the front seat belts, closing the windows and the optional sliding roof, and activating the hazard warning lights. The adaptive cruise assist is a highlight of the optional systems. It takes the burden off the driver during longitudinal and lateral guidance. Ultra-modern systems such as the 360 degree cameras offer assistance with parking and maneuvering. They show the direct surroundings of the SUV coupé on the MMI display, and the driver can choose from several perspectives. The park assist automatically guides the car into and out of parking spaces. If, for example, the driver wants to back out of an entrance, the rear cross traffic assist warns about approaching vehicles that the system classifies as critical. Available commercially from fall onwards: Market launch and edition model Delivery of the Audi Q3 Sportback in Europe will start in the fall 2019. In Germany, the price for the 35 TDI S tronic is €40,200, while the 45 TFSI quattro S tronic is available from a starting price of €46,200. An exclusive edition model in two designs accompanies the market launch, Depending on their paint finishes, they are called "edition one dew silver" and "edition one mythos black." In both models, the exterior is based on the S line and the black styling package. Dark decorative panels in the matrix LED headlights and 20-inch wheels make for an even sportier look. The interior features a silver edition model with the noble interior design selection and bright colors, while the black model is based on the dark interior S line, supplemented by blue Alcantara areas on the instrument panel and the armrests in the doors.
  4. After 2 years of rumors and several CGIs, it is finally coming... Audi's new Q5 Sportback has been spotted ahead of its reveal later this year. This is the second SUV Sportback from Audi, the first being the Q3 Sportback, which was launched last year. When attached to an SUV, the Sportback name indicates a coupe-like roofline ending in a liftback, as opposed to the more upright tailgates traditionally found on SUVs. At the front, Audi has ditched the headlights of the standard Q5 in favor of ones more akin to those from the Q3 Sportback. This prototype also features a blacked-out front grille with a chrome surround as well as some dashes of silver around the edges of the front air intakes. As the Sportback in its name implies, Audi has overhauled the shape of the vehicle’s roof to give it that Coupe-like appearance. There is no camouflage per say at the rear but there is some tape over the taillights, hiding parts of their design. With that being said, it is clear that they too have been altered from the taillights of the normal Q5.

  6. With a potent five-cylinder engine and quattro AWD underpinnings, the all-new 2020 Audi RS Q3 provides a real point of difference to the hi-po four-cylinder brigade. It’s a big step forward from the old RS Q3, too, which always seemed to be an afterthought rather than a pre-planning exercise. Audi RS Q3 Sportback Tweaked By ABT With More Power, Custom Wheels The inline-five engine gets a 10-percent power hike. It’s safe to say ABT is quite happy with Audi Sport’s decision to expand its portfolio as that means more business for the tuner. One of the recent entries into the ever-growing lineup is the RS Q3 Sportback, a compact crossover suffering from a multiple personality disorder by trying to pass off as a coupe. While the vehicle’s shape is questionable, you probably won’t find anyone complaining about what’s under the hood. The inline-five engine is a dying breed and quite the rarity in the car industry nowadays, so we’re happy Audi is still installing the 2.5 TFSI in the RS3, TT RS, and the RS Q3. The tuners at ABT have been working on this engine for a while, so it comes as no surprise they’re now announcing an upgrade program tailored to the latest RS Sportback. Courtesy of the ABT Engine Control Unit, the turbocharged mill produced at the Győr plant in Hungary has been taken from 400 horsepower and 354 pound-feet (480 Newton-meters) to 440 hp and 384 lb-ft (520 Nm). The newly gained muscle is reflected in the hot crossover’s performances as the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) now takes just 4.3 seconds (-0.2s). The top speed has been modified as well, increasing from 155 mph (250 km/h) to 177 mph (285 km/h). ABT also made some changes on the outside by replacing the OEM wheels with its own 20-inch set. The wide spacing of the spokes has allowed the tuner to shave off some weight while boosting the visual appeal as the brake calipers are now more visible than before. At an additional cost, a bigger 21-inch set can be ordered.

The Jaguar I-Pace rival was recently seen in disguised prototype form, showing design familiarity with the larger E-tron Sportback SUV-coupé. Audi confirmed via social media that the production model will be shown at a virtual world premiere, beginning at 6:15pm UK time. Details of the new electric model are yet to be revealed, but we can glean some information about the production car from last year's Q4 E-tron concept. That's 4.59m long and 1.9m wide - slightly shorter and wider than today’s Audi Q5. Comparing the concept and spied prototype suggests the overall shape hasn’t changed dramatically. Audi claims the concept has the interior space of a larger model, thanks to the substantial 2.77-metre wheelbase and lack of a transmission tunnel. The Q4 E-tron will be the first Audi to sit on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB bespoke EV platform; the E-tron and E-tron Sportback sit atop an adapted ICE car platform. The Q4 E-tron concept has a dual-motor powertrain comprising a 202bhp, 229lb ft motor powering the rear axle and a smaller motor powering the front wheels when traction is lost or full power is requested. The total system output is put at 302bhp. That's combined with an 82kWh battery pack yielding a WLTP-certified 280-mile range and the ability to charge at up to 125kW - resulting in an 80% charge in just half an hour. Expect the production Q4 E-tron Sportback to go on sale before the end of 2021.

  9. Hi all, My car has this problem of the HID light turning off and on again by itself. The left one will turn off and turn on almost instantly, and then the right one will follow suit. What could the problem be? I have done the rewiring, changed to a 2nd hand ballast but the problem still persist. Need your kind advice. Thanks!

The new Audi A7 Sportback actually looks... new https://www.topgear.com/car-news/first-look/new-audi-a7-sportback-actually-looks-new The most amazing part of the new Audi A7 Sportback – a car not short of ‘you’re kidding, can it really?’ features - is that you can actually tell it’s new. Check out that craggy 3D lightsaber stretching across the low-lying hatchback’s tapered rump. That’s almost controversial. Now move forward. Take in the rest of the new A7. It’s based on the A8 and Q7’s building blocks, but gives us a good idea what the next A6 will look like. The LEDs illuminate in animated flourishes when the car’s unlocked. There are slashes in the flanks, and a wider, flatter grille than George Foreman’s family barbeque. This is an Audi you might notice, even when it isn’t chasing you down a motorway at a distance measurable only with an electron microscope. Not a moment too soon, either. Audi’s design boss, Mark Lichte, has previously admitted to Top Gear that the old Russian-doll uniform approach was fine when Audi was an underdog, but now it’s up there with BMW and Mercedes. Same again design won’t really do, because people have short attention spans. These cars need to be prouder of the numerous technovations squeezed under the finely creased skin. And the A7 has - technical term here - oodles. Based on the same underpinnings as the latest A8 limo and sharing much of its stunning touchscreen cockpit, the A7 has many of the same superpowers. It’ll be able to remotely park itself without you on board, and drive itself in traffic when its ‘level-three’ autonomy comes on stream in 2018. Its on-board 48-volt electrical system also means the engine can switch off at coast, while kinetic energy is harvested as you slow down. When it goes on sale in February 2018, however, the eyes-off-the-road self-drive abilities won’t be available, and neither will they be downloadable via over-the-air updates. Why? Because Audi bullishly tells Top Gear that “our customers aren’t guinea pigs”. Ten internet points to anyone who guesses which carmaker that’s a thinly disguised swipe at… For the longer, more capacious A7 Sportback Mk2 (there’s more knee and headroom inside, but the thing is almost five metres long and two metres wide as a result), Audi’s headline act isn’t suspension that predicts the bumps ahead (a trick saved for new A8s), but instead, its most computerised steering system yet.
  11. With manufacturers nowadays producing hatches that accelerate as fast as a Porsche 911 (996) Carrera, it seems like we are in the middle of a horsepower battle for hot hatches. Naturally, we took out two of the faster hot hatches in town to see which was better overall. So where is the A 45 AMG we hear you ask? Unfortunately, it was not available to us when we wanted to take it out for the test. For those who have yet to read our review, it can be found here. Meanwhile, here are a couple of unpublished photos that were not in the review... Audi S3 Sportback. The fastest A3 you can buy now till the RS3 comes (if there is going to be one). I personally like the base 1.4 TFSI version a lot, so I was expecting this S3 to be just as polished. Thankfully, it did not disappoint. With quattro channeling 276 horses to all four wheels, it provides plentiful thrust. Anywhere. The standard S-tronic gearbox is quick acting when you are in the mood and smooth enough when trundling through town. Amazingly, BMW's eight-speed automatic is just as good. How about the ride? Slightly more firm than the Beemer. Nothing bad because this means you get tight body control in the twisties. One would also notice the steering weighting up nicely as you wind the lock on. BMW M135i. It has been more than a year since we tested it. In the automotive world, one year is pretty long and even so, I am not sure if I have warmed up to the 1 Series's face. Thankfully, you can actually do a facelift on your own. But let's not harbour on that and focus on what BMWs are known for, the drive. If you thought the Audi was fast, the BMW is even faster. With two more cylinders and one more litre, it shades the S3 in terms of sound and creaminess. Turbo lag is less pronounced than the S3 too. Riding softer than the S3, it soaks up bumps more willingly and I think this will makes the M135i a good compainon on fast NSHW blasts. Fear not, this does not mean that the M135i is not a driver's car. With good weight distribution and power going to the rear only, powerslides are easy to achieve if you are feeling naughty. Quick steering (slightly too heavy in Sport) help to give the car an impression that it is one agile hatch. It really is.

Car plate is SJ something 5217.. this loser was driving along Admiralty Road West and think his car super powerful but in front of him there is this truck going at 70km/hour on the right lane ( got two lanes ). This loser TAILGATED the Truck for a good 10 second within inches and finally overtook from the left. I was right behind driving leisurely on the left lane and had to slammed on my brakes to allow some space for this super powerful joker car to cut into my lane. I thought all is well but this stupid joker swerved back into the truck lane and jammed brake to 0 km/hour after on his hazard lights. I slowly drove past them and was observing the stupid antics from my rear mirror. He behaved like a thug and kept waving his hand and pointing his middle fingers at the poor driver behind who had to slammed on his brake. OTher cars behind ALL got to slam on their brakes to 0km/hour not knowing what is happening in front. Finally I reached the next traffic light and the Audi zoomed past me at speeds of 120km/hour in a 60km/hour road while the truck is slowly catching up with me after I am at the junction waiting to turn left. What a day!
  15. The first official images of the all new Audi A7 Sportback are making the internet rounds today ahead of the sport saloon's debut on Monday. These photos prove that the production car has stayed remarkably true to the 2009 Detroit Show concept's appearance. In a similar fashion, the styling of the interior is almost identical to the concept, except for the colors and the decorative trim. The just-under 5-meters long A7 Sportback will be strictly for four passengers. Mechanically, the A5 Sportback's big brother is heavily based on the next generation A6 and will be offered with both diesel and gasoline V6 engines including the new 3.0-liter TSI unit with some 290-horsepower. It goes without saying that the A7 Sportback will be available with Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive system and S-tronic dual clutch transmissions. Expect to see performance-oriented S7 and RS7 variants, as well as a hybrid model being added to the range within the next year or so. The A7 Sportback will slot between the A6 and A8 executive saloons with its main competitors being the new Mercedes-Benz CLS and the production version of the BMW Gran Coupe.
