  1. Newbie just started to read about wheels. Is there any functionality difference between wheels with thin (more number, about 10) and thicker/wider (5 or 6) spokes. Tried to search but haven't found any. Is it just cosmetic? Any difference in toughness? Eg if go over pothole which type has higher fail risk or same? TIA
  2. What are your thoughts on two spoke wheels? Today, I actually saw them first time on Singapore roads. Incidentally, I think they are horrid looking. I guess everyone's got their own taste. And I thought the three spoke wheels so popular in the 90s were pushing it a bit too far. Still like the classic look of five spokes.
  3. Only for fans of Charlie Chaplin From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The Great Dictator is a comedy film by Charlie Chaplin released in October 1940. Like most Chaplin films, he wrote, produced, and directed, in addition to starring as the lead. Having been the only Hollywood film maker to continue to make silent films well into the period of sound films, this was Chaplin's first true talking picture as well as his most commercially successful film.[1] At the time of its first release, the United States was still formally at peace with Nazi Germany. Chaplin's film advanced a stirring, controversial condemnation of Hitler, fascism, antisemitism, and the Nazis, whom he excoriates in the film as "machine men, with machine minds and machine hearts". Chaplin's film followed only a few months after Hollywood's first parody of Hitler, the short subject You Nazty Spy by the Three Stooges,[2] although Chaplin had been planning it for years before. Hitler had been previously allegorically pilloried in the German film by Fritz Lang, The King of silent movies finally spoke. The first video speaks a lot. Other videos are funny, sometimes poking fun at dictator Hitler. CC had his dreams. 4. Probe will be 'thorough' THE police are carrying out "very thorough" investigations into the hit-and-run accident linked to a Romanian diplomat, said Foreign Minister George Yeo on Monday. Speaking to reporters at the Indonesian Embassy after signing the condolence book for former Indonesian President Abdurrahman Wahid, who died last week, Mr Yeo said: "What happened was very bad. A man was killed. People were injured. The police are pursuing the matter very thoroughly but investigations are still ongoing and I shall not be commenting on them." Asked when would the matter be resolved as it has been over two weeks since the accident happened on Dec 15, Mr Yeo said: "The Police are not sitting on their hands." http://news.asiaone.com/News/AsiaOne%2BNew...104-189676.html George Yeo stresses due process in resolving hit
  5. I am given a 5 or 6 spoke rims for my new car. Personally dislike the 5 or 6 spoke rims, much prefer those multi spoke ones. I told my SE... and she reacted a little bit surprised. She said the 5 or 6 spoke rims are more popular amongst her clients. In fact she has a customer who was given the multi spoke rims and is unhappy... now searching for a 5/6 spoke one to replace. What is ur preference?
  6. Any difference between the 2 in terms of driving experience? My colleague say 4 spoke is better as it will reduce vibration. But I see most of the cars come with 3 spoke steering wheel. What do you think?
