HELP!!!! I was driving home this evening when my car's (Mitsubitshu Lancer EX) check engine light turned on. The car also suddenly became very sluggish and it limped all the way home. I always use at least 95 RON which is the recommended fuel for the car. What should I do now? Any good workshops to recommend (Alexandra area?). Very jialat.... should I continue to drive?

Hi all, Just wish to check if any one else driving a manual car also experience this: Does your car's acceleration become sluggish after getting stuck in a traffic jam or when parked with engine running? There is no issue when the traffic is smooth though. What could be the problem? Thanks.

I've been experiencing sluggish low-end especially during 2nd gear after i change my stock 15" to 17" recently. i've changed k&n drop-in filter & customize cai. the problem could be due to the 17".. and yes, i'm on lenso samurai sc01 (it's considered as the "lightweight" cat w/ 7kg per rim.) was wondering what can be the next steps to improve my low-end? i've no issue with mid/high-end and can feel the power with anything above 5k rpm. i'm looking for parts that don't void warranty.. please advise if any of the below that helps and feel free to suggest if i do missed out any. - change stock sparks plug - change stock sparks plug cable - pro steel RS brake hose kit to improve stock brake kit - lta-approved exo (sadly, in the market current don't have any) - uniQ piggyback yes, i'm driving avante 1.6MT. thanks.

Feeling my car has slightly sluggish acceleration. Usually i just need to depress abit to move off or maintain cruising speed (of 80km).......but recently kinda feel i need to depress significantly more to maintain speed or accelerate compared to my past few months of drive. -Checked tyres air pressure alright -engine oil changed to Mobil One green for a month liao......along with oil filter changed -CVT oil dealer changed for me 6mths ago which was about 12000km before - Petrol using the same throughout past 4mths - Air filter using K&N and i washed it about 8000km (4mths) ago. What could possibly cause for less drive power?

guys, i do not know why, hope someone can enlighten me, does anyone feel that the engine is pulling harder when your EO hits 6K mark. is there anyhing wrong with my car?

Hi all recently notice my ride very sluggish when i full blast aircon at highest fan speed. When reduce to lowest speed car feels normal. Feels like most of the electrical is diverted to run the aircon blower at the expense of the ignition power. What course of action shld i take? Uprate alternator for more power generation? Change Bigger batt? Add voltage stab? Any advise?

hi bros,went to service the car last week at autobacs and decided to try schaeffers 5w20.after servicing, i immediately find that the car is sluggish and the pick up poor. i checked the balance 5th bottle of the oil that was left and realise that its almost empty. what might be the cause ? could the mechanic top up too much oil ? if yes,i can get them to drain out some right ? thks

My friend drives a Volvo S60. Recently he has been experiencing sluggish response from the vehicle, and there is a weird sound that emanates from the engine compartment after he switches off the engine - which persists for about a minue or so. Could anyone help? I have a 3mb "avi" file which I have used to record the sound emanating from the S60 - problem is I do not have anywhere to upload the file! I anyone can potentially help, please PM me and I can e-mail the avi file for your diagnosis. Thank you for any assistance! -
Mine is Accent 1.5A 2002 First half tank OK, 2nd half tank now very sluggish. Move off need to go beyond 2500RPM, used to be 2300RPM. Pickup to cruise at 100KM/H used to be below 2500RPM, now 3000RPM. At cruise speed about 300RPM more. Reasons I can think of (Need Confirmation, anyone experience this) 1) spark plug failing? - used 4000KM NGK copper 2) battery dying? - workshop recommended battery change 1 week ago 3) DIY oil filter magnet? - 1 week ago placed magnets around oil filter and one under oil tank 4) Engine oil dirty? - dark brown colour, more than 6 months old Shell Helix Ultra but only 7000KM. 5) Fuel filter clogged up? - placed some ceramic fuel savers into fuel tank, 1 month ago. 6) wrong mixture of petrol? - loan my car out 1 week ago, came back with full tank. Used to pump Shell 92(old version) 6) ANY OTHER IDEAS HELP!HELP!HELP!HELP!HELP!HELP!HELP! Thanks all
