  1. Just 20 minutes ago I was checking my car's tire pressure at my local Esso, and I spotted the ugliest Sillyporean I have seen so far. He drove into the kiosk, parked at one of the pumps and horned once, expecting the pump attendant to attend to him immediately like a VIP. The station was about 75% full of cars with only 2 pump attendants. So as you would expect, response wouldn't be as swift as that idiot would have liked. So he got down from the car started shouting, which I will post here in the exact words he shouted, "Hello! 可以来帮我吗!" in a demanding tone that any one person would dislike straight away. That's what caught my attention. A pump attendant soon attended to him. Mind you, these two attendants are elderly uncles who are old enough to be that fella's father. The attendant reprimanded him, "讲话可以讲好好吗?
  2. There have been so many issue brought up by the opp parties but have not heard anyone mention about this particular issue. Or maybe not many realise. Talking about high cost of living and housing. Would love to hear opp parties bringing up this issue on singles not being to purchase a flat direct from HDB and can only get hold of a flat from the re-sale market. Make me wonder why? Ain't they Singaporean that pay the same taxes just like anybody else?? If couples find it hard to own a flat, what more a single.

Ah tiong langga sillyporean!!! http://www.asiaone.com/News/AsiaOne%2BNews...917-237708.html --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A 16-year-old girl was knocked down by a SBS Transit bus service 63 on Wednesday morning along Circuit Road. The Deyi Secondary School girl was pinned under the bus for a few minutes until a passer-by - Mr Lim Choon Guan - pulled the girl to safety. Mr Lim was pushing his bicycle along the pavement nearby when he heard shouts coming from Circuit Road. He rushed to the scene and saw the girl lying conscious under the bus. He told The New Paper that the bus was still moving because the bus driver did not know he had hit someone until pedestrians gesticulated to him to stop. The girl was eventually lifted by Mr Lim and two other men to the nearby grass patch, and eventually brought to the hospital in an ambulance. Mr Lim also told Lianhe Wanbao that the bus driver seemed to be in his mid 30's and was a Chinese National.
  5. Daughter tells mum: LET THIEF TAKE BAG But mum tries to hold on and says: NO PASSPORT HOW TO GO HOME? By Hedy Khoo February 18, 2007 first thought when a thief snatched her handbag in Johor Baru was not about money. It was about the passports in the bag. The 55-year-old housewife, who gave her name only as Madam Toh, was in JB with her daughter. The incident happened around 5pm last Saturday when they were driving to a relative's house for dinner. Madam Toh's daughter, who wanted to be known only as Ms Ong, was driving on the extreme left lane in a traffic jam on the Tebrau Highway. Suddenly, she heard the loud revving noise of a motorcycle on her left, and the pillion rider, whom she described as a plump man, opened the front passenger door and grabbed her mother's handbag. 'My mother tried to hold on to her bag, but I told her to let him have it,' said the 27-year-old sales executive. Madam Toh had tried to hold on to her bag because of the passports. 'I panicked when I thought we wouldn't be able to cross the border without our passports,' Madam Toh said. Ms Ong quickly called a JB friend who took them to the nearest police station. 'Luckily my friend translated as I couldn't understand Malay,' she said. 'I wouldn't have bothered to make a report if not for our passports because there was only RM50 ($22) in my mother's handbag,' said Ms Ong. RELIEVED AT CHECKPOINT At the JB checkpoint, they were initially worried that they would face problems as they only had copies of the police report. But they were relieved when the officer cleared them after interviewing them for about 15 minutes. It was past 9pm when they managed to get back home. Madam Toh said: 'I am not sad about the incident. My husband had discouraged us from going to JB. 'It wasn't a big loss in terms of money, as I had kept most of my money in my pockets. I only worry about the passports falling into wrong hands.' Madam Toh and Ms Ong have applied for new passports. They also had to change the locks of their flat as their keys were also in the stolen handbag. http://newpaper.asia1.com.sg/news/story/0,...,123413,00.html?
