keep away from lane 1 if you not confident of keeping you vehicle in lane. I know there is a concrete barrier on the right side. Stop driving in between lane 1 and 2, you are hogging 2 lanes at the same time!

After picking my wife, turned up to ECP and sheares bridge. Then i saw quite a lot of smoke in my rear view mirror and within seconds i saw a car burst into flames. Couldnt see properly as I was blocked by other cars and also had to mind my driving. Wife turned around and she said it looked like a maroon and old car. Hope everyone in the car is fine. This was on Sheares bridge towards airport, on the downslope toward KPE area, about 6.30pm. -
Just now pass by the site at 6pm, the broken glasses seem to be part of the cargo dropped from a truck. the debris was pretty huge, covering most of the exit lane + chevron. Hope no one got stuck in that jam -

President Benjamin Sheares already donated all his president pay more than 30 years ago!! The best thing is he did not tell the whole world. TCB is correct, to announce donating half the pay even before u are elected as president is another way of buying votes. It is a strategy. But using such low class strategy in Presidential election shows how low the quality of the candidates are. He was chosen by LKY at the prime of his career and he accepted it and being the president, he loss a large chunk of income and yet he still donated ALL his $17,000 salary to charity!! $17,000 in the 70s can easily buy 2 HDB flats. This is what I call a president that wants to serve the people. The country don't build a major bridge and name it after a person for no reason. Not some clowns going around Hi5 with people and also not some clown that keep wanting to hold PAP responsible and keep repeating check and balance. Looks like I got no choice but to cross beside the Palm Tree.

Anyone notice the strange reflector light things on the middle barrier on the Benjamin Sheares bridge? If they are reflectors, why do they spin? If they are speed / wind sensors, why some do not spin?

I pity you guys who have to take this tonight, as I type, there are two TPs and two fire engines closing down the left lane heading away from the city. And the traffic is slowing to a crawl!

It took be between 5:00pm and 6:00pm to drive between Keppel Road and Fort Road on ECP (Changi) today due to a massive slow jam. There was a bad accident involving a Wish and another MPV (either an Alphard or Elysion - one of those big square PI ones) and I think a couple of other cars which had been towed away when I got to the scene. The Wish looked like it had smashed into the new concrete wall and got smashed in by other cars. Lanes 1 2 and 3 were blocked hence the very slow traffic. Anybody got there earlier and saw more of the carnage?
