Just finish my 4 days off(Saturday to Tuesday) and have for 4 weeks more to enjoy weekends off again.Last week I hang out with other Malaysia car makes owner @ Tampines Teh Tarik and I was thinking of gathering most Singapore Malaysia makes car owners.Last week there is 2 gen2 1.6,1 Viva 1.0,1 Myvi 1.3,1 Saga Blm and 1 Exora.Our discussion is mainly car acc and parts.Hope to hear more positive feedbacks here before proceeding

When my bro called up to make appointment, they told him that if the paint work has not been polished for a long time, they need to do machine polish, etc, to restore the shine. They say usual price is $180, but since he got the voucher, he need to top up $180 - $58 = $120 ( which works out to be a $2 discount). My bro then challenge, the voucher listed $150 worth of service, so shouldn't the top up be $180 - $150? They say it doesn't work this way. The $58 is for normal wash and basic hand "polish", which I doubt if they even claybar. Topping up $120 (on top of the $58 voucher) for machine polish to restore the shine is way too expensive. At least if the top up is $30-40, still acceptable, it's suppose to be discounted/offer price isn't it? I can get a mobile groomer with machine polish + wax at $80-90. Then what's the use of buying the voucher? That's misrepresentation marketing. In the end my bro told them forget it, and he returned the voucher to me...... Bros and Sis, please beware of unscrupulous marketing tactics when buying discount vouchers!

VALENCIA: Back behind the wheel of a Formula One car after a hiatus of four years, Narain Karthikeyan impressed at 2011's opening pre-season test and the ace Indian driver said he was "extremely satisfied" with his three-day outing at the Circuito Ricardo Tormo. Karthikeyan, who was signed by Spanish outfit Hispania Racing Team (HRT) for the 2011 season, completed 63 laps and finished 11th fastest on the final day of the testing with a timing of 1:16.535. The Indian set the sixth fastest time on the second day with a timing of 1:14.472 while he was the 12th fastest on the first day of the test programme. "It's an awesome feeling to be back in Formula 1 car again, pushing it to its limits. All of the team members at HRT and I have been working very hard over the past few days. Fortunately, the weather has been very good, and I was able to do quite a lot of laps on each of the three days of the test session," Karthikeyan said after the conclusion of the testing session. "This test has not been about getting lap-times. It was more important for me to learn about the team, the car, and getting used to the specific demands of Formula 1 again. I also focused on learning about the new specification tyres, and have tried out several different compounds. "I was expecting it to be much harder to adapt to the modern generation F1 car, but I found the transition to be much more seamless than I had anticipated. It has been an extremely satisfying test, and I'm eagerly looking forward to the next test," he said. Hispania team principal Colin Kolles was also impressed with Karthikeyan's progress during the testing programme. "Narain (Karthikeyan) has done a very good job in this test session. The lap-times are not so important. We are paying more attention to the data we are collecting. He has completed almost 200 laps over the course of the three days," he said. "I am very happy with his progress, determination and speed. I am sure he will continue to improve each and every time he drives the car," Kolles added. Hi all, I'm thining of organizing a group gathering to head down Pasir Gudang for a day of fun at the track. This track session is for any makes of car. So don't feel embarressed that your car is non Force Induced, CG too high etc. It's basically a time for you to test and know the limits of your car or basically just have fun! 60 parents turn up for second parental matchmaking session By Ng Wei Keng, Channel NewsAsia | Posted: 14 December 2008 2140 hrs SINGAPORE: Picking up from an idea suggested by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong earlier this year, 60 parents turned up for a parental matchmaking session on Sunday to find partners for their children aged between 25 and 45 years old. This follows the success of the first such session in September where 80 parents turned up. Many of today's participants declined to be identified as they had signed up without their children's knowledge. Organisers also conducted a talk on how to broach the idea of parental matchmaking with their children as some singles may mistake it as a form of arranged marriage.
