Any recommendation for hotel (about S$100~S$120 per night)? Any places of interests should go? I will be staying 2 nights only. Prefer not to travel too far from the city. Thanks in advance!

Greetings! Blessed Christmas to all, and hope the New Year 2020 would be an even better one for everybody. In this thread, let me share some videos that I made from a family trip to Seoul, South Korea in November 2019. We had decided to stay in Seoul for more than a week. Using Seoul as our base, we would take our time to visit tourist sites, leisurely. For our flight to Seoul, I redeemed SQ miles and managed to get SQ Business Class tickets, Singapore to Seoul. Good fun. SQ operates their new Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner for our Singapore-Seoul flight. The video below shows you some footage from the SilverKris lounge at Terminal 3. I read that SQ will be upgrading this lounge soon, so this may be the last time I am using this lounge. SQ Flight - Boeing 787-10. Flight review from Singapore to Seoul Incheon on SQ. It was a pretty good flight! We got into Seoul at about 10PM and had arranged for a pick-up from Seoul Incheon to our hotel in Myeongdong. It was a rather long ride, about 1 hour.

After Fandi Ahmad said he will retire in Batam due to high cost of living, another report from our own scholars ranked SGP above Seoul and Hong Kong! Note that the article didn't mention Korea or China cause it's not consistently that expensive in those countries across all cities. Singapore is the only city so we're screwed with nowhere else to retire to. No million $$$ no condo! No 0.5 million $$$ no HDB! No 100k no car!

Two subway trains collided in Seoul on Friday, injuring scores of people but with no immediate report of any fatalities, the emergency services said. "So far, we have a total of 78 injured, all of them lightly," a spokesman for the Seoul emergency services told AFP. One TV news channel put the number of injured at 170. News of the accident broke as the country was still reeling from a ferry disaster on April 16 that left around 300 dead or missing -- most of them schoolchildren -- after the boat capsized and sank. The tragedy triggered widespread public anger and a bout of national soul-searching as to whether the country had sacrificed safety standards in its rush for economic development. The details of Friday's subway accident were not immediately clear, but it appeared that one train had stopped in, or close to, Sangwangsimni station in eastern Seoul when the second train ran into its back. STOMPer Marcus was disgusted to see this foreign couple changing their baby girl's diaper right at their table in Seoul Garden. They were also talking at the top of their lungs and showing no regard for other patrons, said the STOMPer. The STOMPer wrote: "These people, who appear to be from China, were talking at the top of their lungs and even changed their baby's diaper while others were eating! "How rude and unhygienic! "One old man was also scratching his leg while resting it on the sitting area. "The little girl of theirs was also making a lot of noise and seemed very demanding and rude towards her parents. "How unruly of them. "Are these China citizens coming here to make a fool of themselves and ruining their country's image? "They ought to learn some basic table manners and courtesy. "I am very enraged by this sight."
