  1. According to Instagram user 'dreboog', what you see here might be the new Audi R8. In his post, he mentions that the scoop was from an anonymous Audi insider that had access to the car. Set to be officially revealed at next month's Geneva Motor Show, it is likely the above photo is the real deal and not some well executed new body kit job. Don’t believe? You might want to look at some of the spy videos of the upcoming R8 going through the Nürburgring and spot the similar design cues! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDUAtZHP8-s
  2. Hi Guys, been wanting to get a biscuit funnel like the one on the weighting scale in FAMOUS AMOS, it looks like a funnel but the mouth is not vertical position, usually it is used to weigh the purchase and the purchase can slide into a bag using the funnel opening. anyone knows where i might be able to find one. thank you
  3. It seems the Subaru Impreza WRX or the WRX STI Top Mount Intercooler scoop from the version 8 (applied model C to E in Subaru talk) is making headways in every vehicle out there. Check out the Toyota pickup above and you'd see the famous scoop looking its best. Modders are willing to put this scoop on any car they see fit. In Malaysia, I've seen the scoop on a Proton Wira, Proton Waja, the new Proton Saga, a couple of Perodua Kancils, a Perodua Myvi, Hyundai Accents and aside from the two pictures that I have posted here, on a Mitsubishi Airtrek Turbo. While it may serve a purpose for directing air into the Airtrek's intercooler better than the smallish NACA type duct on the stock bonnet, I think its blasphemy. Doing a Mitsubishi/Subaru hybrid somehow doesn't gel in my mind. However, the more as I think about Subaru and the scoop, I've also noticed the Subaru rear wing on all sorts of cars, the most surprising is a WRX fishtail rear spoiler on an RX8. It does look pretty decent anyway as the shape does look like it fits the Mazda. What am I saying? A Mazda RX8 does not need to be confused as some other car. It already is a great car. I really wonder what goes on inside the minds of these people. Go buy a Mazdaspeed wing or something Mazda for God's sake! Therefore, I now have to say that Subaru makes the best aftermarket wings, spoilers and scoops in the world (or at least in this region) due to every Ali, John, Lim, Muthu or the DVD seller down the street choosing something that originated from a Subaru for their ride. Maybe Subaru should really copyright their stuff and then claim royalty. Subaru could become one of the largest performance bodyparts supplier or royalty cash machine in the region. Before I end this article, here's another picture with the scoop on the wrong car; and I have to add that the car in the picture, also has Subaru STI seats. I rest my case.
  4. According to an article posted on Italian magazine Quattroruote, Fiat confirmed that its 2008 Junior (based on the Fiat Grande Punto platform and mechanics), will go in production in the first months of 2008 at the Group
  5. Anyone here installed an air scoop on the front bonnet? I always loved to have a airscoop on my car but when I was warn by Belinda at Xoom Trading that TPs are merciless to aftermarket air scoops, I was turned off.... esp when this info comes from someones who sells body kits. When I spoke to Z3 or Z4 at Eunos Ave 7, they told me air scoop although not legal, will be not be booked easily one lah stating if going law by law, most cars on the roads do not pass the LTA.
  6. Finally more concrete pictures or artwork of the upcoming 4-door porsche, the Porsche Panamera, surfaces: Porsche's answer to the Ferrari 612, Aston Martin Rapide and the like. Looks like a beauty to me. Coming to showrooms 2009. Slowly wait ah. But be sure to see the production version in photos late 2008. So it's two years and counting.
  7. Coming to you 2008. 4litre V8, SMGIII 7-speed transmission, carbon fibre roof comes standard.. Sounds sweet to my ears. But it kinda looks a bit sedated compared to the M3s or yester-year.
  8. ehh.. how to remove the rubber in the air scoop huh? the front is screwed, but the back got 3 donno what thing leh, how to take it off? by force?
  9. Quote from : synlube.com You will definitely get better mileage with SAE 5W-20 then SAE 5W-30 oil, but not by much, usually the optimistic estimates are LESS than 1%. The bad news is about 30% reduction in engine life (from 100,000 miles or 10 years to 70,000 miles or 7 years). Only manufacturers who have 3 years or 36,000 miles powertrain warranties currently recommend SAE 5W-20 oil to be used in their NEW 2000 through 2006 model vehicles (FORD, HONDA). By contrast Mercedes-Benz that offered 4 years or 50,000 miles warranty not only specified SAE 5W-40 motor oil, but in the USA, to assure that only that oil grade was used, provided periodic maintenance FREE to all its customers. (Free maintenance was offered by Mercedes-Benz from 2000 model years through 2004 model year, it was cancelled on 2005 model cars and SUV's) ALL heavy-duty engine manufacturers recommend SAE 40, SAE 15W-40 or SAE 5W-40 oil. FINAL choice is yours, you can get BETTER mileage, or LONGER engine life.

    Air Scoop?

Anyone has any idea regarding air scoop on the top of the car? It's like an additional fan system blowing into the car interior.
  11. hi, like those scoop like the mitsuibishi air-trek turbo one ? can i put on my suzuki ? where can i customise cheap ? JB ?
  12. Say, if you car doesn't originally comes with air-scoop, is it illegal to cut the bonnet to install a scoop or just wire mesh grill to increase air ciculation in the engine bay? Car doesn't have turbo or anything, just normal car.

  14. Toying wif the idea of adding a bonnet scoop (same size and location as the bugeye rex one) to help cool down the engine. However, the location where the scoop will sit is where the turbo pipe and manifold is, near the bulkhead (see pix below). Wondering if that's gonna cause any problems when water gets in thru the scoop and hits the HOT pipes? Expert advice, anyone?? Btw, anyone knows how Evo overcomes the water problem coz the scoop sits on top of the engine itself?
  15. I need a new air scoop to breath in more air for the intercooler underneath the bonnet. The stock air scoop is small and i think the intercooler will perform better with a new one which can bring in fresh air faster and more ... Any bro knows which workshop can made a good one??.... what material is best, fibreglass??.. metal sheet??..some composite materila?? .... or i can just add a custome made external attachment (maybe a fixed or adjustable) flap etc to direct more air in.... any suggestions/advices?? Thanks
