Anyone knows any good zhi char stall with good sambal fried rice? IIRC there was a good sambal fried rice in chong pang area kopitiam near Chong Pang Camp. It has since changed a lot of stall owners (since early 2000s) and the original cook who prepared the fried rice is no longer there. Heard it was shifted to other venues. Anyone knows their lost and found?

What's next? 咸鱼 or salted fish? From STOMP: http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg...bal_chilli.html Posted on 25 Apr 2012 First neighbours argued over curry, now it's 'stinky' sambal chilli STOMPer Daniel came across a notice online, apparently posted at a void deck of a block of flats in Punggol. The anonymous note was addressed to neighbours who cooked 'stinky' sambal chilli. The STOMPer also referenced a separate dispute over curry. Said the STOMPer, who came across the photo on facebook posted this morning (Apr 25): "First, it was curry. Now, sambal chilli. "Saw this notice at a void deck of an HDB block at Punggol. "First, there was a conflict between neighbours about the smell of curry, now it's the smell of sambal chilli. "Wonder what happens to our society's tolerance level and wonder whether the family who cooks the sambal chilli would be advised to ensure that their neighbour is not around before they can cook sambal chilli, if this matter is brought for mediation." In August last year, Singaporeans organised a 'Cook A Pot of Curry' event online in response to the outcome of a mediation action when a mainland Chinese family asked a local Indian family to stop cooking curry as they did not like the smell. That separate incident happened over seven years ago, and Minister for Law and Foreign Affairs K. Shanmugam applauded the solidarity of Singaporeans but cautioned them not to be xenophobic. It is not known if the Punggol residents involved in the dispute are local or foreign.

Another explosive weekends match this Sunday.......... It's Man City vs Liverpool at City of Manchester Stadium. The Brazilian SAMBAL vs the Spanish OLE or in another words... the Brazil street parties vs the Spanish bull fights. Liverpool had just won an away match (against Everton) and is now playing away again to Man City who had lost 2 matches in a row. The first lost to Brighton in mid week Carling Cup and a 2-1 defeat to Wigan last night...... Man City would want to revenge the 2 straight loses with a win at home ground against Liverpool. Liverpool would like to stay at the top of the league table plus with the top form of their Spanish striker Torres and SG looking for his 100 goals for his club...... Robinho returning from a midweek trip to Brazil, certainly did an unpleasant one for him who suffers jet set at Wigan. ESPN Soccernet Report : So what do you get for

When we eat nasi lemak, its always goes down well with a good chilli sambal. If not, then that stall which sell the nasi lemak can closed shop...... Well................ not all stall serve good sambal chilli......... look what I received from my friend who happen to visit and patronised our neighbour's Nasi Lemak with...... errr.......... . SAMBAL..... ( ............ quote : Take note of what you order from our local Indian Muslim restaurants, especially the one near the post office in Damansara Jaya. A colleague and I were shocked to find a cockroach in our nasi lemak. To be precise it was in the sambal or chilli paste. The worst part of it all,was that the shop owner even after clearing our plates continued to sell the dish to other patrons. Can you imagine if children were to eat it? The restaurant is Syed Abu, along Jln SS22/19,Damansara Jaya...............)
