i realised that most 1.6L saloons have speedo range up to 220km/h while some 2L or even 2.5L sedans/SUV have only speedo range up to 180km/h, notably like mark x although running on a V6 2.5L engine. does it mean that cars like mark x cannot go beyond 180km/h? what happen if they go beyond 180km...

How accurate are our speedo meters? When I am travelling on the expressway and my speedo reads 90km/h, but I still see cars overtaking me left right center... Maybe my speedo is spoilt...
