  1. https://www.sgcarmart.com/news/article.php?AID=26177 No plans lined up this weekend? Why not head on down to Millenia Walk to catch the opening of Tesla's new dedicated showroom here in Singapore? sgCarMart understands from property developer and manager of Millenia Walk, Pontiac Land Group, that Tesla's new retail site is poised to open its doors at 11:00am come 15 January 2022. The new retail location comes just months after the mall became the second location in Singapore to host Tesla's V3 Superchargers, and comes following the closure of Tesla's former temporary site at One Assembly within Raffles City shopping centre. We have additionally been informed that prospective Tesla buyers will be able to experience the Model 3 at the new retail store, with test drives to be conducted along the East Coast Parkway's scenic waterfront, located just three minutes away. Those test drives, will have to be booked in advance however, via Tesla Singapore's dedicated site here. Tesla's new showroom is located at #01-84, facing The Great Hall at Millenia Walk. Opening Hours for the new showroom are 11:00am to 8:00pm from Sundays to Thursdays, while opening hours for Fridays and Saturdays are from 11:00am to 8.30pm.
  2. https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/transport/car-dealers-in-ubi-motor-belt-seek-extension-to-expiring-leases Leases for several car showrooms in the Kampong Ubi "motor belt" will be expiring from next year, and companies are scrambling for extensions. Among the half a dozen or so soon-to-expire leases is one held by Automobile Megamart, which operates an eight-storey complex housing more than 100 new car companies, used car dealerships and parallel importers. Its 30-year lease runs out in 2026, and stakeholders have set in motion an appeal for an extension. Another affected property is the Opel showroom held by the Alpine group. Like all others interviewed, Alpine Group managing director Albert Pang said he intends to apply for an extension. "After Leng Kee, this is Singapore's motor belt," Mr Pang said, referring to the Leng Kee-Alexandra Road car showroom district. "Of course we want to stay if we can." Directly opposite his showroom is Sime Darby's Performance Premium Selection used car complex, which recently had its lease extended till 2040.
  3. Looking for your next luxury car but want to skip the wait? Cars & Coffee Singapore has plenty of options ready for you. If you were buying a relatively affordable car simply for getting around, the process isn’t overly complicated. You head to the showroom, pick a standard specification, pick your preferred paint colour, and you’ll have your new car in next to no time. However, when it comes to the realm of luxury cars, it’s not as straightforward as that. Customers who are spending big sums of money on their cars, especially cars that are less commonplace and thus more unique, tend to be a more discerning and pickier bunch. For such buyers, they would have much more specific requirements when it comes to their cars. Can you blame them? When you’re spending hundreds of thousands on your car, you surely want exactly the specificiation that you are looking for. Just for you Such requirements can take many forms – engine, exterior equipment, interior equipment and design, as well as specific add-on options from the manufacturer. Understandably, when it comes to luxury cars, distributors aren’t going to carry ready stock of every possible configuration possible of these cars. Take for example a Porsche 911. On top of the 21 different variants already on offer, there are 17 exterior colour options, 32 interior colour and materials options, 6 rims choices, there are more than 150 other individual options available to you on the online car configurator. If you specifically choose to option such a car from the factory, it can take a long time before the car actually gets to you. And yes, maybe you can wait. But not everyone wants to wait 9 to 12 months for their new car. Cars & Coffee Singapore recognises this, and thus to fulfil its customers desires, it carries a wide range of ready stock luxury cars. On hand, the company boasts close to 100 ready stock luxury cars. You can have your pick of luxury models, including Bentleys, Rolls-Royces and even a Pagani Huayra. And as these cars are ready stock, you can secure your car and have it on the road quickly – no need to wait months just for your car to reach Singapore. And, if you are looking for something super limited and rare, like a McLaren 720S or a Maybach, or you want a particular colour/trim specification of a 911 or C63, Cars & Coffee is abl to quickly source for the specific specification that its customers want. Dedicated experience To better meet the demands of these discerning customers, Cars & Coffee is also revamping its commonwealth showroom. The showroom has been redesigned to offer a more dedicated and tailoured customer experience. On top of being home to many luxury models, the Commonwealth showroom also hosts a new coffee bar that serves up premium coffee. Alongside these luxury cars, you can also find Japanese models such as the latest Honda Fit and Honda Vezel. To further enhance the buying experience, Cars & Coffee Singapore is also now offering an in-house interest rate of 1.68% - the company has managed to secure this low interest rate with the bank due to its strong sales volume. To find out more, you can visit the Cars & Coffee Singapore showroom at 1 Commonwealth Lane, #01-01 One Commonwealth Singapore (149544). Additionally, you can also visit the Cars & Coffee Megastore located at 60 Jln Lam Huat, Level 6 Carros Centre, Singapore (737869), where you can find even more cars on sale.
  4. NOT in Singapore though. I will say it is a very darling move, given the differences between RAV4 and the new X-Trail (aka Rogue in USA). Or Nissan might be buying those super rundown unit to make its SUV feel better, which would not be a fair comparison so to speak. But I do see the opportunity that it can be done in Singapore, not Nissan vs Toyota though. The first pair that pop up in my mind was Kia Sorento and Mercedes GLB200 (since so many here are comparing these 2 apple and orange, just because both are "around" the same price point - I see lots of different though). But why Cycle and Carriage should consider doing this? Well since there are a pool of potential buyer looking at both models, allowing the test drive of GLB at Kia showroom and Sorento at C&C showroom might actually be a win-win situation, since buyer would be more likely to walk away choosing one of these 2 models represented by the same AD. Make sense? Nissan Will Be Offering Free Toyota RAV4 Test Drives To Sell More Rogues – Wait, What? Nissan is confident that the 2021 Rogue is far better than the Toyota RAV4, which is why they will be offering free test drives in the rival model to potential customers at its dealers this December. The automaker expects around half of its 1,074 U.S. dealers to embrace this unconventional strategy, which is not without risk, because “a percentage of customers are inevitably going to value the differences between the models differently than expected”, Tyson Jominy, J.D. Power’s Power Information Network VP, said, cited by AutoNews. The news outlet got its hands on a video message sent to dealers by Nissan’s VP of Sales and Regional Operations, Judy Wheeler, who said: “We know that when consumers check out the all-new Rogue side by side with the RAV4, they will be amazed by our standard, advanced technology, premium design… and, most of all, outstanding overall value.” Wheeler told AutoNews that “when you test drive our vehicle versus the major competitors, you’re going to end up purchasing this vehicle because it’s that much better.” Toyota already knows of Nissan’s strategy to use a rented RAV4 to try and sell more Rogues, and they are actually “flattered”. “We are confident their dealers and customers will appreciate the quality, value, versatility and safety features that have made the RAV4 the no.1-selling (compact) SUV in the United States”, said the brand’s chief of sales, Bob Carter. The unorthodox campaign is known internally as ‘Rogue Gone Rogue’ and is part of a four-month advertising push described by Wheeler as “the most robust marketing campaign in Nissan’s history”. The 2021 Nissan Rogue has an MSRP of $25,650. Power is supplied by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, making 181 HP and 245 Nm of torque, mated to a standard CVT and FWD – with AWD being a $1,400 premium on all grades. The 2021 Toyota RAV4, on the other hand, is priced from $26,050, and comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, rated at 203 HP and 249 Nm, paired to an eight-speed transmission, in the base model.
  5. SINGAPORE - Motor group Tan Chong is shutting down its Nissan showroom in Bukit Timah after being there for nearly four decades. The last motor facility in the area, the showroom was opened in 1982. The home-grown motor group, listed in Hong Kong, said it is closing its showroom because of "falling footfall", referring to declining number of customers visiting the Bukit Timah address. It will instead focus on its two other showrooms in Ubi and Leng Kee, sites of Singapore's two "motor belts". Mr Ron Lim, head of sales and marketing at Tan Chong Motor, said: "We review our operations from time to time to ensure that our resources are optimised. In line with the reduction in COE quotas, we have seen a fall in showroom traffic at Bukit Timah and we have decided to consolidate Nissan's showroom operations at Leng Kee and Ubi. "Our service centre at Bukit Timah will continue to serve customers. "

  7. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/weird-news/woman-smashes-brand-new-50k-4261551 A woman driver who ruined her brand new Porsche and four other vehicles just seconds after leaving the car showroom is facing a 150,000 GBP bill, say police in northern China Horrified Ping Ch'ang caused £150k worth of damage when totalled the Boxster after mixing up the throttle and the brake as she approached a set of traffic lights in Shenyang, China. The 27-year-old driver had just turned out of the Porsche garage and was on her way home when she suddenly accelerated into a queue of cars waiting at a red light. Witness Zhang Ko said: "She seemed to be trying to change lanes when without warning she shot forwards. He added: "We all ran over and she wasn't hurt but the car was a real mess. We pushed it back to the showroom where it is with the mechanics. "We'd warned her that it was a very powerful car." The white Boxster - capable of 0-62mph in just 5.7 seconds and with a top speed of 162mph - is expected to need extensive repairs, as are the four vehicles she hit. Police spokesman Ho Hsia said: "All the other cars were stationary so she bears the responsibility for the accident and is liable for compensation."
  8. Hi guys, I am wondering at Leng Kee Area (Redhill) still don't have what car brand has a presence at there? Or still got what car brand does not have a showroom in Singapore yet? Just curious hahaha
  9. Wah I don't believe the crowd man, when I was at the C&C showroom today. Packed like crazy! Everybody also want to test drive ... long queue. All tables and huddle rooms fully occupied! At $153K for an entry level C-Class sedan, it's actually a very attractive proposition. At that price, Audi has only got the A3 1.4 and A1. But hatchbacks nia. BMW only the 116i - hatch back also. Now got no 316i sedan liao. VW got Golf 1.4 and Scirocco - again, both hatchbacks. Nothing wrong with hatchbacks, but I suppose the general car-buying public in Singapore still prefer sedans hor. So, will we continue to see Merc at pole position in the sales figures for March and 2Q 2012?
  10. from CNA : Fire breaks out at car showroom A fire broke out at the Borneo Motors building at Leng Kee late Friday morning. Borneo Motors is the distributor of Lexus and Toyota car brands. SINGAPORE: A fire broke out at the Borneo Motors building at Leng Kee late Friday morning. Borneo Motors is the distributor of Lexus and Toyota car brands. The Singapore Civil Defence Force said the fire was put out within 15 minutes of SCDF personnel arriving on the scene. SCDF said no one was injured. A spokesperson from Borneo Motors told Channel NewsAsia it was its body and paint repairs facility at Leng Kee that was involved in the fire. The spokesperson said one of the stay-paint ovens had short circuited. The ovens are used to dry freshly-painted cars. The spokesperson said it is unable to verify if there was a vehicle in the oven at the time of the fire as access to the facility is currently blocked. The spokesperson said its staff on hand had tried to put out the fire with fire extinguishers. Its 60 employees were immediately evacuated from the facility. Borneo Motors is helping with investigations on the cause of the fire. - CNA/xq
  11. The economy in China is indeed growing well and this has determined the British automaker Rolls-Royce to open its largest showroom in the country. Rolls-Royce plans to build a showroom in the capital city of Shenyang and the facility will have two storeys, measuring 1,200 square metres in total. According to Henrik Wilhelmseyer, Rolls-Royce's regional director for China, the British automaker will work in collaboration with China's Shenyang Hong Lu Ming Zun in building its largest showroom in the world yet. What makes things even more interesting is that Rolls-Royce will make its China showroom special, because this year, the company is also celebrating the 10th anniversary of Rolls-Royce's rebirth. This was confirmed by Wilhelmseyer, mentioning that this was a very special year as it would mark 10 years of the brand's renaissance at its new home in Goodwood, England. If all goes well and the British automaker actually builds its largest showroom in China, don't be surprised to see even more people turn millionaires, if not billionaires, in the country.
  12. [extract] The 2013 Mazda6 was previously reported to arrive before Christmas of 2012 but it did not happen. However, the wait is over. I happened to take a bus along Eunos Link and saw a batch of spanking new Mazda6 saloons in Trans Eurokars showroom at Ubi Close. A visit to Mazda Singapore

    Showroom Car

Dear bros, I am selling my 5 year old car and need to revert to showroom condition (at least 2nd hand car showroom condition) - needs recommendations for a 1 stop shop for smoothing out some dents, touch up paint for bumpers and also the usual polish and car interior detailing. Any suggestions? I can probably send to separate places to have all that done but really want to just get it done in 1 shot. Thanks very much for your help and Merry Christmas!

It will offer easy access to Rolls Royce products for customers and complement the existing 2-storey Rolls-Royce showroom in the same building. On the first stop of a four-city tour of Asia Pacific, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars CEO, Torsten M
  15. Quite a clever idea but not sure it will catch on in Singapore as we car buyers tend to be a bit more of the touchy, touchy, feely, feely, variety. What do you guys think? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/clic...ine/9746561.stm

  19. Went to the Kia showroom to see the launch of the OptimaK5 where it was a very busy day for the Kia sales people and noticed that the Mitsubishi showroom was deserted and there were a few Kia cars in the Mitsubishi showroom. How can that be? What is happening??!! Mitsubishi was at one time my favourite brand but I felt sad that things aren't looking good for them.
  20. Hey bros... I yest passed by the showroom... I saw Audi A1 there.... Tat one has got decals around it... Look kinda cute man.... [laugh]
  21. went to VW to service my car. the showroom is so quite even there is a Jetta promo going on. the valet parking attendants also got nothing to do as the parking lots are quite empty......
  22. Which showroom u prefer and why?
  23. I realised there are many new showrooms being built or existing showrooms being refurbished. For example, VW expanded showroom in July, BMW M showroom opened at Teban Gardens in July, Malayan Motors spent more than $3 million to convert part of its Leng Kee showroom for joint representation of the Jaguar and Land Rover brands in May, Mazda opened their Alexandra showroom in Feb, etc. etc. Just wondering if all this investment is worth it.. as in, will sprucing up the showrooms and offering more services within the showroom appeal more to a customer and increase sales? What features of a showroom appeals to you most? Or what other services should showrooms have? Your thoughts? (Maybe they should start having Nintendo Wii stations in all showrooms, haha just kidding!)
  24. The spin doctor is helping the AD this weekends. Smell so much like a PAID advertistment. Talk and talk about all the mazda cars, its engine, history and how good each models are. Funny, it was quiet last saturday when I was at mazda. The SE said the insurance subsidies only up to $1.5k, perhaps it was increased to $4000 this week onwards due to poor sales. Anyway my insurance for the M2 was quoted at around $1950(0%NCD) according to the insurance list that SE showed me. I proposed that she fully cover my insurance and pay for one year road tax, plus the usual solar film and reverse sensor, then I buy. She said $1.5 already very good leh. In the end I did not buy from Mazda, as whatever she quoted, at that time she firmly said was controlled by company, and she cannot do much. http://motoring.asiaone.com/Motoring/News/...715-227029.html S'pore flocks to dealer's biggest promo as Mazda turns 90 To celebrate Mazda's 90th anniversary, Mazda Motor is treating Singapore car buyers to its biggest deal ever: $9,000 off the country's most popular Mazda models, namely the compact Mazda2, the popular Mazda3 and the spacious Mazda5 MPV. The dealer is also offering up to $4,000 worth of insurance subsidies and the assurance of a Guaranteed COE. Responses over the past weekends showed Singapore car buyers' appreciation for such an offer, especially with escalating COE prices and the recent COE quota reduction announcement. When the brand 'Mazda' comes to mind, many people may have misunderstood the brand as being relatively 'young', which is probably due to its cars being known for their energetic personality, unconventional styling and trademark handling around bends. In reality, Mazda carries with it a seasoned heritage: a full nine decades that is. More established than big names like Toyota and Honda, its history dates back to 1920 where the company was founded by Mr Jujiro Matsuda. Through the years, Mazda always reiterated themselves as the brand that dares to think differently from the rest. From its distinctive styling that won them several design awards, for instance the Louis Vuitton Classic Concept Award; to the revolutionary innovation of the Rotary Engine that won Engine of the Year Award. The Renesis Rotary Engine (RE), unique only to Mazda, has powered revolutionary RE vehicles such as the Familia Rotary Coupe, Savanna, RX-7, Eunos Cosmo and the RX-8 we all know today: the road-tax friendly 1.3L four-door sports coupe with a maximum power output of 231bhp (6MT). Leading the way in reduced-weight model evolution technology, Mazda ensures every vehicle put on the road is not one gram more or less than it should be, to achieve optimal driving dynamics. Through this, the new Mazda2 shaved off a full 100kg from its predecessor to win World Car of the Year title in 2008. The MX-5, a 2-seater sports coupe, although not as popular in Singapore, is actually a Guinness Record holder for the world's top-selling open-top 2-seater sports car. The MX-5's top can open and fold in 12 seconds, a record that no carmaker has matched. In 2008, Mazda announced its target to achieve a 30 per cent improvement on the average fuel economy of Mazda vehicles sold worldwide by 2015. Having established themselves as the brand with individuality and trademark ability in handling corners, the carmaker is now on to leading the way with the upcoming SKY-G and SKY-Drive transmissions that produces an ultra-high fuel economy of 32km/L along with a sporty and refined, direct feel comparable to that of a dual clutch transmission. This technology was featured in the concept car, Kiyora that Mazda Motor brought in earlier this year as a peek into what's to come. Much has been going on for the Singapore car dealer this year: the opening of its second showroom at Alexandra Road in January, followed by various model launches every other month to date, including introducing the all-new Mazda8 MPV model to the Singapore market. Let's not forget their presence on radio, reminding Singapore every other week that if it's a Mazda, "it's a must". Happy Birthday, Mazda!
