  3. aiyoh...just want to share, I was driving along Benoi road yesterday when noticed something rolling on the road towards me... seems like like a big metal ring that had fallen off a lorry or truck... nowhere to siam, tried my best to clear it but still banged onto my left front...now front bumper dislodged, badly dented and scratched... almost take out my fog lamp with it...
  4. Hi guys, Thinking of upsizing from 205/55/16 to either 225/50/17 or 225/45/18 difference will be new tyre is 5% larger than original in terms of diameter. Has anyone upsized their tyres this way and how did it affect your car? My body kit is too low and my wheel gap is too large so instead of lowering it i am thinking make the wheel bigger to cover the gap and at the same time preserve the ride height so i may still enter MSCP. My wheel gap is 3 inch. my front kit to ground is 3 inch which is already scrapping every mscp in singapore.

  6. Michelin claims that their new Primacy LC tyre reduce rolling resistance by 13%. With lesser rolling resistance, does that mean less friction? When there is less friction, does that then mean poorer grip? I know nothing about tyre physics or chemistry but it just seems to me that tyre acts on resistance for grip so it sounds natural to me that less friction means less grip? Pls refer to following link for descripton of Michelin Primacy LC on description of reduced lower resisance and better fuel economy: http://www.michelin.com.sg/tyre/patterndetail/33/320 Any kind soul can help to enlighten? Also, anyone have any experience on this tyre? How's the grip and what's the price? Thanks!

  10. I need to get some recommendations on which workshop can do proper and neat rolling of wheel arches. I heard that there is a proper tool to use that uses the wheel bolts for centering, does any local workshop do it this way ? Last time I had it done the mechanic just used a hammer and dolly and knock knock knock....very terok job cos damaged the paintwork as well. Thanks!
  11. Hi, So we know that when u change your stock wheel to a new one with different size, teh odo and speedo will be inaccurate... Was running 205/65/15, now running 215/45/17 WHEN 205/50/17 would be closer, but my backside itchy... Was on 18.5kg with rims and tire, total 74kg. Now on 16.2kg with rims @7.2 and LS2000 @9kg bringing a total of 64.8kg A loss of 9.2kg off the unsprung weight. But my FC went up... /cry So now my speedo is about 10 km off/higher against my GPS (according to formula, its suppose to be 3.4% higher based on the differnce, but its aint so for my case). With this, my odo is affected/screwed and there goes my calculation for my FC... Anyone know if theres a way/programme to let the ECU learn its new rolling radius?
  12. eg running 215/40R17 instead of 205/45R17 (+2 from 185/65R15). Besides a slightly off speedo and odometer, I was told by a shop that it will affect the life span of the transmission and engine as a whole. They even go as far as to say that distrubutors are known to
