Hi I am planning to do a chip up but am not certain of using GIAC or REVO? Any recommendations? TIA

Anyone driven any 2 these 3? They seem to belong to the same 'hatchback' family. Seeking some owner's opinion... So far I've only gather : MIT Airtrek: 2.0L engine, Turbo optional, steering very light, adequate side mirrors, spacious, stock braking seems insufficient, acceleration seems underpowered (don't have the 'kick' feeling as compared to some 1.6L cars I've driven). Cannot perform 'handbrake' launch with the auto.(or at least I tried). H-Airwave: 1.5L engine, no turbo. no chance to test yet Matrix Revo: 1.8L engine, no turbo. same as 1.6L matrix but with bigger engine. no chance to test the revo, but i dislike the 1.6L. acceleration is similiar to the 2L AirTrek - draggy. But at least the brakes are more responsive. Light steering but not as light as the airtrek. Country of origin/manufacture and brands and price aside, If I were to choose, what merits will I need to base it on? (brand zealots please go away.) Your feedback appreciated.

Need feedbacks from Matrix 1.8 Revo owners: Am considering this car but heard that the fc is damn jialat. SE told me that 1.8 fc is better than the 1.6, ie 10 to 11km/l for the 1.8 and 9 to 10km/l for the 1.6. Is it true? Can feedback on your fc? thanks

Hi, I am considering to get a Matrix and I need to decide on which Matrix; 1.6 or 1.8? Anybody knows how the fuel consumption of the Matrix 1.8 Revo (Auto) measures up with its 1.6 (Auto) version? Is the Matrix 1.8 Revo (Auto) more of a drinker? If yes, how much more (in terms of %)? Since the fuel tank capacity of both 1.6 and 1.8 is the same (at 55 litres), if Matrix 1.8 consumes more fuel, does that imply that fuel top-up at the petrol station would be more often than 1.6. Hyundai should change the capacity of the 1.8 to be larger (at least to a 60 litre tank). My present car is a nissan sunny 1.6 man LE which has not so good FC with about 10km for every litre of petrol. My distance coverage is about 360Km per week (probably 40% express-way and 60% city driving). Period to Top-up is about 5 to 6 days. I wonder what is it like if I drive Matrix 1.8 revo if my driving pattern remain unchanged? Top-up period will be shorter or longer? Appreciate Matrix 1.8 Revo owners can give inputs?? Another issue: If you are buying a Matrix from a used car market, do you prefer a 1.8 Auto or 1.6 Auto? I was told by a used car agent that 1.6 Auto sells better than a 1.8 Auto. The reason is that most used car buyers' mentality is different from new car buyers. While the new car buyer go for looks, price and performance, the used car buyer mainly go for price and cost of maintenance. For a 1.8litre car, the road tax, fuel consumption and insurance will be higher. As such, the used car agent I spoke to says that 1.6 Matrix (Auto) has a better market than 1.8 Matrix. Do u agree?

There's a new model for the Hyundai Matrix - the Hyundai Matrix Revo 1.8 (A) GLS. It's supposed to be a new model for 2004. Anyone seen it or has pics of it? Please share any info. Thanks!
