Hi Mods , http://www.mycarforum.com/topic/2633346-forum-rules-guidelines/ It is mentioned in the guideline the following :- •Slanderous, defamatory, obscene, violent, abusive, threatening and harassing comments will not be allowed. •Respect the viewpoints of others, even if you may not agree with them. Agree to disagree. Do not leave lots of blank lines in your post * Posting with lots of blanks lines will be deleted. However, here you have a mod who not only not respect other view points, but also call names. Worse of all , distort my view about and make it racial. This was repeated in the post. If my view is not approriate, you could delete it , give me warning etc. However, to say all these things as a MOD is totally unbecoming. I understand all MOD are on volunteers, and I respect that . However, in this case, i think Radx should be remove from the moderators team because he is narrow-minded in his moderation. I have never infer that I am prejurdice against Schoolings because of their race. I am just upset that the mum choses to remain PR not a singaporean. http://www.mycarforum.com/topic/2699784-quahschooling-win-bronze-medals-in-fina/ well....at least 1 in this thread seems to think so, and lamenting of double standards bla blah..... kekekeke...bitch

I post this coz the link in the other thread doesn't seem to work properly. Hence i post the full story here http://youtu.be/TZA-SB3NA94 We still have some good FW in our midst. This one in video, can pass our SOC easily............ https://sg.news.yahoo.com/blogs/what-is-buzzing/hero--unidentified-foreign-worker-saves-baby-in-singapore-001017679.html A video of an unknown male foreign worker saving a baby in Singapore has surfaced on local website Alvinology. In the video taken Thursday, a bawling baby has its head stuck between the rails of a balcony window, with its body hanging off the ledge. The foreign worker then came into scene in the video and climbed up the wall to the ledge and got to the baby. As the baby’s head was stuck, he lifted the baby so that the weight on its head was lessened. A second foreign worker then climbed up the ledge as well to help. Lifestyle blogger Alvin Lim, editor of the website that posted the video on Friday, said it was taken by a friend at the scene. Lim has asked for help in identifying this life-saving foreign worker. According to the blogger, witnesses say that a woman was the first to notice the baby and was the one who asked for help. It appeared that no one was home at that time. The incident occurred on 23 April afternoon at Jurong East Ave 1, and initially, two other men tried to climb up the ledge but were not strong enough. The commotion went on until the foreign worker appeared. According to witnesses, he was one of three foreign workers working on road repairs nearby, said Lim. He added that the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) arrived on scene five minutes later and managed to free the baby.

All who knew Mustaqim have expected him to deliver another stellar results, as always since PSLE... Yet, he volunteered and wanted to spend 2 years of his life serving the nation. If he want a baby so bad he should try with a chicken, duck, goose, dog, rat or even a cow A triple tragedy Anna and Ming* got married in 1997, when she was 26 and he was 30. She told Her World that her marriage broke down after she suffered a miscarriage in her third trimester. Anna consulted a gynaecologist and was diagnosed with Polycistic Ovarian Syndrome after a year of trying to get pregnant without success. It is a condition where the ovaries releases eggs before they were fully formed. After receiving treatment and a year of continuous trying, she would cry each time she got her period, each time feeling like a failure as a wife and a woman. She began receiving fertility treatments, as Ming kept watch by her side. Finally, they both heard the news they had been waiting for - Anna became pregnant. At 10 weeks into the pregnancy, they found out they were expecting twins. But the pregnancy was troubled when one of the twins died in the womb at 24 weeks. Two weeks later, Anna started spotting and was rushed to hospital. She was ordered to get complete bed rest. Anna said to her then-unborn baby: "Be strong for mummy okay? Mummy loves you. Show me you're okay." And the baby would respond with a little kick. She wanted to keep her remaining baby alive, but soon developed a fever. Despite being allergic to medication such as paracetemol, aspirin and antibiotics, she asked for the medicines, fearing that her fever will affect her baby. But the doctor decided against it, as her life was at risk. On the 12th night of her hospital stay, she began to shiver violently. A monitor that kept track of the baby's heartbeat showed that it was beating fasting and increasingly more irregular. The doctor asked the couple to decide if they wanted to keep the baby. At under 1kg and infected by her fever, Anna knew that her baby had very little chances of survival even if they managed to resuscitate her. It was a most painful decision, but Anna had to let her baby go. She whispered to her baby: "Mummy is so sorry, mummy has to let you go. Forgive me please." Anna and Ming could not bear to see the bodies, and she told the hospital to dispose of them. But she regrets not having given them a proper burial till today. Anna's marriage started to go downhill after that. Ming was devastated at the loss of the pregnancy, and was unable to call up enthusiasm when Anna decided to try and get pregnant again. Then Anna found out that Ming was seeing another woman. He told her that he was not confident that she could give him the children he wanted. She decided to file for a divorce, and Ming attempted half-heartedly to salvage their relationship. She decided to go ahead with the divorce, as she could not promise to help fulfil his dream of being a father. Three years after the divorce, she has finally been able to move on. Now at 38, Anna has started seeing an old friend, who knows of her past. S he told Her World: "In a way, losing my husband was more painful than losing my babies because I lost myself too."

I believe all humans want a certain degree of respect even if some don't deserve it. But the real world is not cut out to be that way if one is to maintain a certain level of control over certain types ppl. Take for example the employment of maids or in short FDWs or low class FTs (LCFT). I believe that most employers want to have a maid they can trust and so accord the maid a certain degree of freedom with respect. But the likelyhood of such trust and freedom given to such ppl, is that it will be abused. So many employers turn to CCTV and other means to pre-empt such undesirable behaviours from their FDWs or (LCFT) from sprouting! Saying it like one is a 'Ideal employer' in any forums, who accord such ppl with trust and respect is easy....until the very nasty things these ppl do take a few hits at them personally! I am not against evaluating the merits to be accorded individually for each FDW or LCFT they employ. But the truth is there are more of such ingradtitude type' ppl that exists to be FDWs & LCFTs, that they have very little need to return the same gratitude that you are giving to them. The fact that they are indeed getting a 'better life' here then back in their home land....the FDWs or LCFTs never appreciate this and seeks ways to exploit it whenever and where ever they can.... Just my 2 cts

WHAT TEACHERS MAKE The dinner guests were sitting around the table discussing life. One man, a CEO, decided to explain the problem with education. He argued, 'What's a kid going to learn from someone who decided his best option in life was to become a teacher?' He reminded the other dinner guests what they say about teachers: 'Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach.' To stress his point he said to another guest; 'You're a teacher, Bonnie. Be honest. What do you make?' Bonnie, who had a reputation for honesty and frankness replied, 'You want to know what I make? (She paused for a second, then began...) 'Well, I make kids work harder than they ever thought they could. I make a C+ feel like the Congressional Medal of Honor. I make kids sit through 40 minutes of class time when their parents can't make them sit for 5 without an I Pod, Game Cube or movie rental. You want to know what I make?' (She paused again and looked at each and every person at the table.) ''I make kids wonder. I make them question. I make them apologize and mean it. I make them have respect and take responsibility for their actions. I teach them to write and then I make them write. Keyboarding isn't everything. I make them read, read, read. I make them show all their work in math. They use their God given brain, not the man-made calculator. I make my students from other countries learn everything they need to know in English while preserving their unique cultural identity. I make my classroom a place where all my students feel safe. I make my students stand, placing their hand over their heart to say the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, One Nation Under God, because we live in the United States of America. Finally, I make them understand that if they use the gifts they were given, work hard, and follow their hearts, they can succeed in life.' (Bonnie paused one last time and then continued.) 'Then, when people try to judge me by what I make, with me knowing money isn't everything, I can hold my head up high and pay no attention because they are ignorant... You want to know what I make? I MAKE A DIFFERENCE . What do you make Mr. CEO?' His jaw dropped, he went silent. THIS IS WORTH SENDING TO EVERY TEACHER YOU KNOW. Even all your personal teachers like mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, grandparents, your spiritual teachers --------

Took delivery of my 600cc, 183kg, 98 BHP, bike last week! Really put a GRIN on my face during the weekend. , Fun factor is very good! So decided to ride yesterday to office. In the morning, at the tampines traffic light junction, i came from behind and stop in between a white altis on my right and a cab on my left. Was half a bike lenght in front of the altis. Altis inch forward to be side by side with me and closed his gap between us. He was so close I can rest on feet on his bumper. I did nothing to upset him. Dont think he exited with me along PIE. Light turn green and he sped off and cut into the centre lane. On the next traffic junction decided to stay behind. Was tempted to let him smell smoke but decided not to. Been riding since 1988. Honestly, not much changes when it comes to the safety of bikers from other road users. I drive too, but when i ride, it's very different, when a roaduser is filtering right, chances are they will let me go first if i am driving but if I am riding, most of the time, they can see me coming, but they just go ahead. Hope I am wrong but there are alot of other incidents from vans to bus to cars and trucks. I am neutral, but let me know, why are there drivers whom feel that bikers deserve less respect?

Ok.. this happened earlier this evening around 7pm... I was at the PIE driving along and going to exit at Lornie. I noticed a weekend plate black Hyunday Getz (I think...).. well the driver's driving was kinda fierce on the highway, and I taught.. ah...some guy.. so as I was following the driver, I noticed the the driver didnt brake at the bend.. and was steadily following a Rex..(no relation)... hmm.. not bad(i said to myself) later at the traffic light, I realised that it was a young lady driver.... RESPECT!!! She's one good driver to take that Lornie S-bend like that.. oh.. if anyone's wondering about safety issues. It was safe for her.. and for others...it was well within speed limit of the highway... If you're reading this girl... R-E-S-P-E-C-T!! Keep it real!
