  1. What A Disgrace - Yahoo News Super kelong, just watch the video. Summary: The Indon silat fighter just run and avoided any contacts, yet got Gold for his antics. Awarded by Singapore referee. I watched the video, laughd until peng.
  2. how come no sound no picture on the much hype SG referee that is going to world cup to officiate the matches???
  3. First England - Germany match where the ball clearly crosses the line for England equaliser but was denied. To be fair, if the goal had been given, the whole outcome of the game could have been different. Then the Argentina - Mexico match. It was an exciting encounter till the first goal. First goal was a blatant offside by Tevez, and everyone knows it including the referee (they did an instant replay on the stadium screen) but because technology use is a no-no...the ref has to give the goal. Again, that affected the Mexico players somehow and they weren't the same team again. That killed the match. As a fan and spectator, I want to see a fair game that clearly shows the superiority of the winning team and not one that is plagued by bad decisions helping one team to win. That's not beautiful. That's robbery of my time and money for those who paid to watch the match. Now to clarify, I started this thread not because I lost my bet, but actually won both bets, but still, I want a fair game to all. These teams took four years of effort to be here, and it's ridiculous that they are killed by just one bad decision.
  4. Anyone have any idea where to buy the yellow referee jersey for the WC 2010 ? I saw it is a Adidas but when i ask various shops selling jersey, they gave me the "WTF?!" face....
  5. WTF?! Kalimuthu?!! I remember he was the referee attacked by Sinchi players some years back, he was also the referee beaten by DPMM players.. But what makes me remember his FXXKED face is cos he officiated in one of my team friendly match, when one of the players was yellow carded and went up to him to question the decision, he put on a fierce Mike Tyson face and taunt the player to slap him. Oh my goodness, a referee who taunts players. Aren't them supposed to cool players & hostile situations down?
  6. ESPN Soccernet latest : Beach ball referee Jones drops into Championship Mike Jones, the referee who incorrectly awarded Darren Bent's goal for Sunderland against Liverpool on Saturday, will not officiate in the Premier League this weekend. FIFA's laws of the game state "the referee should stop, suspend or abandon the match because of outside interference of any kind'', meaning the goal should have been ruled out and the match re-started with a drop ball. Jones will take charge of the Championship game between Peterborough and Scunthorpe at London Road. Jones' mistake has been widely criticised by a number of his former colleagues with Jeff Winter, Dermot Gallagher and Graham Poll all stating their surprise that such a basic error was made in a Premier League game. Gallagher said: "It was a glaring error and it's difficult to fathom. Even referees in local parks should know that if there is an outside agent on the pitch then you stop the game and restart it with a drop ball. "When you set out as a referee you learn the laws of the game and everyone should know it. For it to happen at this level and in such a high-profile game is unbelievable. Any one of the four officials should have stepped in.'' The possibility if the game being replayed has been rejected by the Premier League. Becomes referees also 'chia lat' .........
  7. Ha...ha...ha...., was laughing when reading today New paper that a soccer referee in Johore had first issued a red card and than whips out his gun and fired warning shots in the air when a footballl match turned ugly. The referee, a police officer, ran to his car to get his gun after players mobbed him for showing the red card to their team-mate. Five players who had allegedly charged at the referee have been detained for investigations at Batu Pahat district police hq. Welcome to the land of Bolehs............
  8. Read this latest report from ESPN Soccernet and found it quite amusing that referee Danny McDermid was charged for using abusive and/or insulting words towards Dennis Wise, manager of Leeds United . The report read:- "Ref McDermid charged with verbally abusing Wise Referee Danny McDermid has been charged by the Football Association after he was alleged to have sworn at Leeds United manager Dennis Wise. The incident is alleged to have occurred following the match against Gillingham. McDermid has until 13 November to respond to the charge.' Meanwhile, the FA has today confirmed that they have charged McDermid with using abusive and/or insulting words towards Wise at the end of the same match. Wise has been fined
  9. Reported in today New Paper (29/08/07) Quote: "Four MY Policemen had been suspended for their alleged assault on an Indon karate referee last Friday. No reason were given for the assault. The referee had to be hospitalised after been assaulted by the four policemen. Indon officials had reacted angrily to the incident. Indo Prresident said that the alleged attackers should be punished. But Bernama quoted him saying that nobody can force MY to apologise." Don't the policemen have better things to do?
